She was a princess
I was a knight
The only way I could see her was from below the castle while she was far above I look up at her
She looked down on me
No words where said because the eyes said it all, To her she was locked up and I was free
To me she was free and I was locked up
She wanted what I had, I wanted what she had.....
Maybe we just wanted to be free, lo and behold she smiled at me, my cold heart went ablaze I was shocked she noticed me, but I was a nobody, a servant to her and the king , is this a trap , a set up I thought or is the almighty trying to reward me for my struggles.... No it can't be it's just casual she is known for being nice, I bowed to her and looked up she laughed it was the sweetest voice have heard in years it was like rusting of fallen leaves during spring her smile was like the ray of sun shine I couldn't believe my eyes, she was an actual Angel I quickly straightened up and saluted , has I turned to leave I heard a sweet melody.... It was her voice! She shouted from the hills, Sir knight do you always turn your back on ladies, I became alarmed, I answered has I bowed my head with my back still turned to her ,my lady I said... I'm in no position to face you eye to eye , she laughed once more and said only few seconds ago you stared at me and now you say you can't, what will happen if I tell my father what you have just done she asked, I became startled and afraid because the king was known for being ruthless,
I faced her and went on my knees pleaded for mercy, then I heard words I thought wss only possible in fairy tales , she said if I promise to join her for picnic on the hills the following day she would let it slide, I asked her is there going to be beef your majesty then she laughed again and said her yes
I told her I was going to be there, but she didn't believe me she made me swear on my knight vows that I would come.... I did then she let me go with a laugh only this time it sounded mischievous I knew in my heart she was up to no good, I left the hills to my quarters It was a small place but I made the most of it....
