Chapter 3
"Where is Zarek?.."
"Forgive me your highness, but I am not sorry neither I'm I ashamed of my crimes."
Nyraxas mother spoke fearlessly after being confronted by the King.
The King stood from the throne, he was an extremely tall man, he stroke his beards as he thought of a befitting punishment.
"Nyraxa.." The King called out to his daughter, she could do everything to please her father. To her nothing was more important in the world than the throne.
"What do you think we should do to her."
The queen lifted her head, her eyes were filled with pleas. She wanted to know how hard her daughter's heart could be.
" Burn her to death, and feed her bones to the witches."
The Kings fist could be heard from miles away as he hit the table.
The people murmured, if this was the one to rule after King Voss then they were in big trouble.
The Queen's eyes went pale and colourless. The Queen could not believe that her daughter could sentence her to death.
The guards took her away, Nyraxa averted her gaze from her mother.
Meanwhile Zarek walked through the forest feeling hungry, tired, and alone. The owls terrified him, he wondered where he was.
"Who is there?." Zarek halted, he felt the presence of someone but saw no one.
As quick as lightening an arrow was shot in his direction, he moved quickly to his left and burnt the arrow with his palm. The red flames surprising even himself.
"How did you that?." A young child emerged from the shadows, his blue eyes sparkling under the sun.
The child looked so little, his red cape and hoody shielded his dark hair, he wore a frown perfectly on his face.
"You mean that?, I don't know it just happened. Its a gift." The child stared at Zarek for quite a long time before responding.
"Are you running away from King Voss, is he trying to kill you and destroy your gift?."
Zarek nodded and the child opened his arms of love towards him welcoming him into the village.
Zarek felt he had being here before. The huts looked extremely familiar.
"That was Lord Thais house was it not?." Zarek blurted out unconsciously.
The boy looked at him surprised. "Yes, how did you know that?, he was one of the ancestors that built Eryndor."
Zarek could not look away from the hut, he felt something was there. Something that belonged to him.
"You see, we are sorcerers, dwarfs. This is our hideout, we have being hunted and killed by the King.
We hid here training and being trained by the Dragon our master."
As soon as Zarek heard that there was a dragon down there, the fire in his body ignited. He almost went in.
"Don't, it's dangerous. We almost had the King in our palms but he escaped, we have to restrategize."
Zarek stared at the hut far away, he heard a faint voice calling him. The same way the book had called his soul but he walked away.
"I am yet to connect with my spirit animal." Zarek confessed to the dwarfs and they promised to train him, if he in return helps them destroy Eryndor.
" Is there not another way, I mean another way to bring peace, peace without murder."
Zarek asked the Drew's who in return looked at him suspiciously. Who on earth would want to have mercy on someone so cold hearted.
" Look I can not hide the truth from you, that cruel man he is my father. I do not want a hand in his blood."
The Drew's looked on with confusion, how could a son of Voss be good. Nothing good would come out of the King.
They would keep him further but they could not trust him. Zarek understood there feelings, he would win there trust somehow.
Zarek sat thinking of his step sister wondering if she had followed the path of his father.
She was obsessed with being queen he needed to go back and get her out of there before it was too late.
Zarek stared at the key in his hands, it won't be long before she figured out her bedroom key was missing.
"Can we trust him?." The Drew asked the dragon at midnight, he carefully went into the hut when everyone was asleep.
" Can anyone from the palace be good?." The dragon rose up high, his scared wings a reminder he was almost killed.
"There is a prophecy, someone would rise up out of the Kings roots and be his destruction. He is also meant to be my master. Do not harm him."
The dragon warned.
As the little boy left the hut, he observed that the village was a bit too quiet.
Everyone was gone..
"Kragnir."
"Dourin."
The Drew called out to his brothers but no one answered, the dragon was severely wounded and could not fly.
He ran back to the hut.
"My brother and the prince, there gone. Where we attacked."
The dragon sniffed the air, he knew the Drew's very well. They would not go too far.
"And the prince?." The dragon asked.
The Drews ran away from the hut, he hoped his brothers have not done anything to the prince.
If they harmed him he would kill them all.
"Dourin…" He screamed.
"If this is a prank I am in no mood."
The Drew suddenly heard something, laughter, faint laughter coming from the bushes.
He followed the voice. The Drew heaved a sigh of relief when he saw his brother playing with a strange girl.
"Where did you find her?." Dourin kept on laughing strangely for some reason.
When suddenly his blue eyes turned red, the girl was no where to be seen.
The Drew wanted to go closer to his brother and cast a spell but his mind was not at ease.
" Ha , ha, got ya." Dourins eyes turned blue again.
The lady was not really a lady but his third brother.
" Why do you love to make me fret always." The brothers laughed until the Drew remembered something.
"Where is Zarek?."
