He lifted her onto his back as flames surged through the cracks of the earth. The shrine collapsed behind them. A demonic creature, black as ink and dripping with void aura, burst from the sky and lunged at them.
Voidspawn, Jiang Han realized. "They're already here!"
The beast roared, and instinct took over.
His Heaven Devourer Physique ignited, siphoning the monster's aura. The creature screeched in agony as its power turned to glowing streams, swallowed into Jiang Han's veins. His eyes gleamed gold.
He moved with divine clarity—thanks to Chrono Mind, he had already played out a hundred battle paths. And using Soulforge Genesis, he willed a brand-new martial art into existence:

The beast exploded in a storm of shattered energy. The impact crater swallowed the forest.
