"An orphan without parents. With a household debt of ₩50,000,000," He continued, mumbling the rope under his chin. "And ₩7,049 in the bank. Rent postponed indefinitely, currently 3 months behind."He said, stepping onto the short folding table.
Despite his gentle smile, tears were now running down his face, He kept going as he slipped his entire head into the loop and let it settle on his neck.
"I was suffering ever since I was young. I had an abusive, drunkard of a father while my mother died of an early illness. Between the hospital fees and my father's gambling habits, we racked up a huge debt. And so my father abandoned me."
His content smile was fading into a look of profound sadness as he finished telling his life to himself. 17-year-old high school student Lee Hoon (AKA Hooni) said his last words: "I have no future! This is the only path for me!"
~Timeskip to the next day.~
"School sucks aaassss." A boy named Jerry said mumbling to himself, He wasn't having a good day since he just moved to another school due to work. And at lunch time he's 3rd to last in line for it. Today wasn't a good day for him.
"Move deep shit."
Jerry looked forward straight, quickly to see if someone wants to get their ass beat today only to see another student in school like him, who is much shorter than most people here or pretty much everyone as he moved at the back of the line after line when being told to move back, to the point he is now standing in front of Jerry.
"S-sorry." Honni said nervously to the other student who told him to move back.
Jerry looked at Hooni pity but either way, he was too sleepy to deal with him and didn't pay much attention to him.
"Don't worry bro, you're fine here." Jerry said calmly, not in the mood to talk.
"Okay. Thank you." Honni said nervously but grateful in his tone Jerry just gave him a nod, Jerry couldn't help but feel sad for the guy, but at least they managed to get the last two tonkatsu.
Jerry went to sit down and eat his food as Honni also sat at the same place with him but 5 seats away from him He noticed Hooni looking at him at times but he didn't care much to pay much attention to him and just continue eating.
Later after lunch all students went to their class, Jerry walked to his class too and sat at his chair minding his own business as always thinking about anything really just day dreaming, until the sounds of someone gasping for air then the sounds of someone slamming onto the ground, he lazily turns his head around to the direction of it and gasps a little as his eyes widen, shocked by what he is witnessing.
"Hey!! Take off his clothes too lol!" One of the 4 boys said to the other 3.
One of them takes off his shirt and just crouches, watching as the biggest one of the ground and the one with orange hair kicks and stomps on his body while the other one records it with his phone, all 4 of them laughing their asses off.
He was shocked by what he was witnessing, he looked around and everyone was just looking bluntly or pretending not to notice, he felt anger and full of intent of murder running through his veins; he was going about to jump in to help him until the teacher's footsteps were heard by everyone in class.
They sit quickly back to their chair as one of them picks the beating boy up and pushes him to his chair then rush back to his chair, as the one who was about to jump in turn back his head around.
"SIT DOWN!! Class has STARTED!" The teacher said loudly.
As they continued on in class like nothing happened the boy who was going to jump in looked at Hooni in pity and sympathy, Jerry wanted to speak up but for some reason he couldn't his throat felt like a knife was pressed on his neck.
"Poor guy. And I thought my bad was terrible. Maybe I should talk to him. All tho I'm pretty sure I'm going to get jumped by them if I hang out with him." He thought to himself.
He looks back at Honni and his eyes soften a little.
"The hell with it. He needs a friend and I feel lonely anyways." He thought to himself, already knowing what to do in school.
