Only two months left before the entrance of the main characters. I stood before the college entrance and took a deep breath before entering.
All the people entering the college looked at me. They must think I'm some rich guy's daughter since I just left my luxurious car and my bodyguards who came to drop me off.
I decided to ignore the attention as usual and stepped forward before stopping on my way by a voice calling me from behind.
"Elira!"
I looked behind me to find a woman with lavender hair running toward me.
"First day of college, yet you didn't come to see me so we can get in together?" As soon as she came near, she hooked her arms with mine and started to walk with me.
"Sorry, I forgot, Liana."
Liana Crest, the daughter of a cosmetic businessman. She and I became friends in high school, and the only reason my father allowed our friendship was because she was in our category of status. She had amazing fashion sense, but she was quite bad with her studies.
"Never mind. If you're really sorry, give me a treat." And she was a big foodie.
I nod and we continue our way towards the large college.
"Oh, do you know? That person is also coming today."
I turned her way with a frown, "Who?"
She looked into my eyes and whispered after moving her head closer to me.
"Aiden Whitlock."
Ah, Aiden Whitlock. He was the first son of a big business family who were in rivalry with our family until just a few months ago. Now, they have formed an alliance with each other.
But wait, he's here?
We enter our classroom and settle down. I took a seat at the far corner, by the window and Liana by my side. Quite a few students had already entered and settled down while many were still entering. Then, I heard a commotion from outside the classroom and a man entered the room through that chaos.
Everyone was focused on him as if he were some trophy. Just like how they were looking at me a few minutes ago. I watched that man walk and settle down in the seat right behind me. I did not give him any more glances and focused on my phone to look through any messages for any kind of unexpected missions.
"Girl! He's right behind us! Aiden Whitlock is right behind you!"
Liana whispered excitedly, practically screaming into my ears.
I just hummed a yes and did not bother to either look at her, who was giving weird glances back at him, nor at the man behind me.
I already knew who he was. But the main thing that only I knew was, that he was the second male lead of the novel 'The Rose Made of Blood'. And I had a big second male syndrome on him. Well, I had, past tense. Now I don't care.
Our class starts and we focus on the teacher. Well, only Liana and I were focusing on the class. The others, especially girls, were busy giving glances to the person behind me. It was uncomfortable, even for me.
The first class was over and the second was about to start. I decided to rest and gaze out of the window. Warm sunlight fell on my face as I took in the sight of the view outside. This world had quite a lot of greenery, unlike the world I originally came from.
I pushed aside that thought and looked in front, trying to completely ignore the stare from the person sitting behind me.
After the classes were over and it was time for lunch, I got up with Liana pulling me from the side, and went to the cafeteria.
We ordered our lunches and searched for a seat but unfortunately, all the seats were full since there were many new students this time. I was searching for the seat when suddenly Liana pulled me somewhere.
"There are no empty seats in sight. If you don't mind, can we sit here?"
"Of course."
I was busy balancing the food that was about to fall on me because of my dumb friend. When I heard the voice answering her, I looked up to find a pair of grey eyes looking at us.
Oh no, why him?
I clenched my fist to control myself from punching my dumb friend and sat quietly in the chair opposite Aiden.
Yeah, the person Liana asked for a seat for was Aiden Whitlock.
I really didn't want to come in front of any characters before the story started. But my friend didn't want me to live my life peacefully.
I put on a hair clutcher to secure my hair, avoiding it coming in front of my face while I was eating, and started to focus on eating.
Liana was chatting with both me and Aiden, as she always does.
"I'm Liana Crest. And she is my friend Elira Rosenthal."
"Rosenthal?" A heavy voice spoke my surname and I looked up briefly to find him staring at me. I frowned and looked back down.
"Yeah. And we're very grateful to you for sharing your table with us."
There were a few seconds of silence before he spoke. "You are? But she does not seem grateful to me."
