– The Eyes That Burn
The sky was cracked with stormlight.
The Queen of Thorns stood tall, wrapped in black and silver, her eyes glowing with cruel, regal fire. Her serpent slithered beneath her feet like a shadow given shape.
Reven stepped out from the crowd of werewolves. He didn't wear armor — just a hunter's coat and the weight of his past.
Their eyes locked.

Queen:
"I expected more guards."
Reven (coldly):
"I don't need guards for someone who hides behind monsters."
She smirked. Stepped forward, slow.

Queen:
"Oh, still so brave. Still pretending. How noble."
Reven (tense):
"Pretending what?"
Queen: (stepping closer)
"That you didn't watch her die."
His face hardened.

Reven:
"Who… are you?"
Queen (quietly):
"Think. Look at me. Really look."
He stared.
And suddenly… his world tilted.

Reven (staggered whisper):
"No… no. It's not possible."
Queen (eyes sharp):
"Why not? Because you buried me in your memory the moment I stopped breathing?"
Reven:
"You— you died. I held you. I felt your— your blood—"
Queen (cold smile):
"Death nearly took me. But not quite. I lay there broken… and you walked away."

His breath caught in his throat.

Reven:
"I didn't walk away. I screamed. I begged. I tried to fight them."
Queen:
"You tried nothing. You froze. And I died."
Reven (desperate):
"I was held down! My father— my brother— they stopped me—"
Queen (snaps):
"you let them."
Silence.
Queen (softer, but deadly):
"i loved you reven. Do you remember that?"
Reven's voice dropped, full of pain.

"I never forgot. I never stopped seeing your face. I never stopped… feeling that moment. You think I lived after that day? I didn't. I became their weapon because I couldn't feel anything anymore."
Queen (voice shaking):
"You became what I hate. Just like them. You wear their skin now."
Reven (quietly):
"I became this because of what they did to you."
Queen (stepping close, voice rising):
"And I became this because of what you didn't do."

Her serpent hissed. Shadows curled around her fingers. Magic pulsed like a heartbeat.
Queen:
"You could've saved me. But you didn't. Now I'll save no one."
Reven (broken):
"you came back.....to kill us?"
Queen (voice like frost):
"No. I came back to make you feel what I felt. Alone. Betrayed. Burning."

She turned, walking away as her army followed.
Queen (without looking back):
"You'll see me again soon, Reven. But next time… I won't speak. I'll show you."

Reven dropped to his knees as the wind howled past him.
Reven (whispers):
"I'm sorry."
But she was already gone.
