Chapter 3 - Overpowered but Locked Out

Lee Kiwook picked up the neatly folded magician's robe from his stomach and thought for a moment. "If I can't go back, then so be it. No one would care anyway, right?"

[ Bunbun doesn't understand what you mean. Would you like me to relay your question to the development team? ]

"…Send it." Lee Kiwook slipped his arms into the black long sleeves, unable to resist grumbling, "Did your dev team run out of budget when designing this AI?"

[ Bunbun doesn't understa— ]

"Shut up."

[ Alrighty~ If you need anything, just call Bunbun anytime~ ]

Lee Kiwook slowly rolled his eyes and stood up from the side of the bed.

The jet-black magician's robe flowed down over his body.

On the smooth, soft fabric, a bright silver house emblem was pinned over the chest.

The emblem was shaped like an open magic book, with a faint glow occasionally flickering across its surface.

This wasn't just a badge, it was also a small magic array.

It could be used to verify the identity of every student at the Magic Academy and provided a minor boost in magical power.

...

[ Magic Academy Student Robe ]

Quality: Excellent

Effect: Mana +10

...

It was a green-tier item and its effect was just to slightly extend the mana bar.

For a beginner who had absolutely nothing, this would be considered excellent equipment, but in Lee Kiwook's eyes, it was hardly worth a glance.

He opened the game interface that had transferred over with him.

Just like in the previous holographic version of the game, a semi-transparent screen appeared in the middle of his field of vision.

The data on the interface was dazzling enough to make anyone pause in awe.

...

[ Corporate Slave ]

Race: Human

Class: Magician

Level: Lv. 99

HP: 10,000 / 10,000

MP: 10,000 (+10) / 10,000

...

This was just a small portion of his basic stats.

Alongside it were densely packed attributes such as evasion rate, damage, critical hit chance, and more, enough for him to sweep across the entire world with nothing but normal attacks.

If those numbers were enough to command respect from other players, then the inventory tab beside them would drive them mad with envy.

A colossal 300 slot bag that can only be unlocked at the cost of tens of millions of gold with no item stacking limit, was completely filled with orange-tier gear, legendary weapons, potions, and scrolls, representing the best equipment across all classes.

Lee Kiwook's gaze passed over them and his brows relaxed slightly.

His pale and slender face finally showed a faint trace of a smile.

However, as he continued flipping through the interface, that smile gradually froze.

"Bunbun, why are all my skills locked?" Lee Kiwook pointed to the large section of grayed-out skills in his skill list, his expression flat as he summoned the system assistant again.

Perhaps sensing the weight of his frustration, Bunbun's tone suddenly became cautious and appeasing.

[ Dear player, skills of non-player races and classes must be unlocked by completing hidden quests… ]
