Chapter 1 - The Swords That Chose Me

The story begins with the Good God and the Bad God watching the battlefield from the heavens.

They argue endlessly: "Which will win in the end—love or duty?"

At the same time, the hero, and the Demon Queen, are fighting fiercely.

Hero casts an A-rank spell, and Demon queen counters with one of her own. Their spells collide and cancel each other out. They charge at each other with swords drawn, their blades clashing with all their strength.

As their swords press together, Hero notices something—a single tear falls from Demon queen's eye.

In that moment, a bright light appears.

---

The hero begins to narrate:

> "This all started one day when the king sent some unknown swords to my father's workshop to check their ranks.

The swords arrived, and my mother took me—only half a month old at the time—to see them.

Just then, an adventurer accidentally threw a magic stone into the fire, causing a huge explosion.

One of the old, rusted swords protected me and everyone else from the blast. That sword... it chose me.

The adventurers were shocked because that sword had not chosen anyone for over a thousand years.

After a few hours, the king, queen, and the adventurers' guild master came to apologize to my father. After a long discussion, they confirmed that I was the Legendary Hero.

My mother wanted to test me. Everyone agreed. When I touched the sword, a bright light appeared.

The sword transformed into a ring and attached itself to my hand.

But I didn't have any mana. I immediately fell asleep.

Everyone was shocked—a half-month-old baby had claimed a legendary sword.

It was then confirmed by all: I was the chosen one.

My mother was overwhelmed and cried as I slept deeply for three and a half years .

When I finally woke up on my birthday, the first thing I saw was my mother sleeping beside me.

She woke up and gave me a big, warm hug."

A few days later, I was able to walk and run. I felt lighter and stronger.

After some time, my parents allowed me to go outside and play.

One day, I met new children. Among them, one girl looked strangely familiar, as if I already knew her.

I introduced myself. "I'm Arjun. What's your name?"

She smiled. "I'm Maya."

When I looked at Maya, I felt something special—a connection I couldn't explain.

Then I noticed Maya had a ring on her hand.

She noticed my ring too.

We were both shocked and asked at the same time, "You too?"

At that moment, both of our rings glowed and reacted briefly, then quickly returned to normal.

Our friends asked, "What happened?"

Maya and I replied, "Nothing."

"Then let's play!" they said.

After a few hours, Maya and I went home.

We were both surprised to find we were walking the same way.

When we reached our homes, we were shocked again—our houses were right next to each other!

When I returned home, my mother welcomed me warmly. I told her about my new friends but quietly hid the part about the ring.

---

One day, Maya and I went to explore the nearby forest. We were curious about the world.

We saw some slimes, but strangely, they were running away from something.

When we looked behind them, we saw a huge wolf chasing after them.

Luckily, some adventurers arrived just in time and protected us.

After a fierce battle, the adventurers defeated the wolf.

The adventurers scolded us for entering such a dangerous place, but we laughed and ran home quickly.

---

One year passed. We were now five years old.

One evening, while we were playing, Maya suddenly said, "I'm moving to a new town."

I asked, "Why?"

She replied, "I don't have much time. I must leave soon. I'm sorry I have to go."

I took off my ring and gave it to Maya.

She also gave me her ring.

We exchanged rings as a promise to meet again.

After that, we both returned to our homes.

That evening, I told my mother everything about Maya—except the secret about the rings.

---

A few days later, I went out alone, playing outside the kingdom.

I tried to activate my sword, and the ring responded just a little.

Suddenly—BOOM!

A huge explosion shook the kingdom near my house.

Earlier that day, some knights had come to take my friends to the Mana Crystal Cave.

In this world, only a few caves can produce mana stones—magical stones that can be crafted into weapons.

It is said that these caves have a mind of their own, choosing who can take which mana stone.

Only my friends were chosen by the cave to receive their mana stones and forge their own weapons.

The knights were there to protect them.

---

Meanwhile, monsters attacked the kingdom.

I ran back to my house in panic.

When I arrived, I saw something I can never forget—my father was dead, killed by an A-rank monster.

My mother was lying on the ground, seriously injured.

In that moment, rage exploded inside me.

My ring transformed into a sword.

Without hesitation, I killed the monster in a single strike.

I defeated all the A-rank monsters nearby, each with just one blow.

I was ready to attack again when suddenly—my mother hugged me tightly from behind.

Her warmth pulled me back to my senses.

Slowly, I returned to normal.

At that moment, the knights and my friends arrived to protect the kingdom and assist the survivors.

But our battle was not over.

Good god said to bad god,

"Arjun's body was too young to handle such incredible power.

His mother's injuries were too severe".

Both of us fell into a deep, subconscious state—a mysterious place between life and death.
