Chapter 1 - When the world feels upside down

The morning had been perfect. Her day had been perfect, even her week had been perfect, but fucking Austin had to ruin her winning streak of happiness.

Roma knew that Julie was an idiot, but to sleep with Austin (several times), her boyfriend since middle school, was a new low even for her.

Roma wanted to cry as she walked home but no tears came. Her eyes just stung as if she had already been crying for hours.

When she reached her house she stormed upstairs ignoring her mother asking how her day had been. Cause what was she supposed to answer?

"Hey mom, my shitty boyfriend who you never liked cheated on me with my fucking idiot of a "best friend"."

Or.

"Hey mom, i can't decide whether i should kill myself or kill everyone around me, which is the better decision?"

So Roma decided it best to ignore.

She slumped onto the bed hoping people would jump out of her closet to yell.

"Suprise! It was all a prank you know that Austin loves you and would never cheat on you silly"

But no one came, it was not just a nightmare.

This. Was. Real.

Her whole future was crushed, stomped on and burned to ash with just those horrible words he said.

"Aw jeez Roma, why do you always have to snoop around? We were gonna tell you" he said, stroking his neck awkwardly.

"I'm so sorry girl, but you know i can't stay away from this hunky man"

Roma gagged thinking about them.

"They deserve each other" She mumbled throwing her pillow across her room hitting her dresser with a thud.

She stared up at the ceiling, at the little glow in the dark stars she had put up when she was 12 and never taken down since.

"I'm not going to be a fucking push over and let them get away with this." Roma said, getting up. "They don't know what's coming…"
