Chrono Genesis – System Depth: Blood Layer 00
The moment Jin Wei accepted the prompt, the world shattered.
Not like a glitch — like a memory collapsing.
The ground cracked under his feet. Trees evaporated into red dust. The sky tore open like torn fabric, revealing nothing but a swirling void of broken code and screams. A system voice echoed in his ears, hollow and ancient:
> "Entering Forbidden Layer... B.L.O.O.D Realm initialized."
"All support systems offline. Resurrection denied. Party functions disabled. Escape: disabled."
> "You are now the last living file in Version 0.01."
Jin hit the ground hard.
He landed in what looked like an abandoned throne room — but not like the bright, polished architecture of the main game. This place was jagged, glitchy. Like the map had been corrupted beyond repair. Shadows bled from the walls. There were statues with missing faces, candles floating mid-air, and fractured glass suspended in time.
The moment he stood up, he realized something:
His user interface was gone.
No HP bar.
No skills.
No minimap.
Just cold silence.
"…Is this even still Chrono Genesis?" he muttered.
He stepped forward — and a gust of wind swept through the hall.
Then the doors creaked open.
And what came in made his blood run cold.
---
A figure in rusted black armor, face hidden beneath a shattered mask.
It limped — slowly. Its footsteps echoed like thunder.
In its hand was a jagged crimson sword that pulsed with something sickening.
The moment Jin saw the name floating above its head, he stopped breathing.
> [Lv. ???] Fallen Player: Wei Liang
"No…"
His voice cracked.
It was his brother's avatar — corrupted, deformed, eyes glowing like hellfire.
The brother who disappeared three years ago inside Chrono Genesis.
The brother who was ranked Top 10 in the world before vanishing in a "system crash."
> "Jin…" a static-filled voice echoed from the corrupted figure.
"Still weak. Still late…"
Jin trembled. "What… did they do to you…?"
Wei Liang didn't answer.
Instead, he charged.

⚔️ BOSS FIGHT: Corrupted Wei Liang
Jin barely blocked the first strike — his rusted dagger cracking in two. The blow sent him flying across the throne room. He hit the wall hard and rolled, spitting blood.
Pain.
Real pain.
In Blood Mode, there was no pain filter. Every hit felt like dying.
He staggered to his feet. "I'm not going to run."
Wei Liang's second strike carved a line through the marble floor — Jin rolled under it and grabbed a broken spear from the rubble. No stats. No system bonuses. Just instinct.
He fought.
Wild. Desperate. Screaming. His vision blurred with blood, tears, and fury.
And the more he bled…
…the more something inside him awakened.

> System Message: Blood Threshold 24% reached. Skill Unlocked: [Blood Vein Surge Lv. 1]
A burning heat exploded through his veins. His body moved faster, stronger, like something ancient had grabbed hold of him.
Jin screamed and rushed forward — parrying the crimson blade with the broken spear and jamming it into Wei Liang's chest. The corrupted avatar staggered. Glitched. Froze.
And then smiled.
> "Good. You're learning."
Wei Liang exploded into red code — scattering like ash.
Jin collapsed to his knees.
His hands shook. Blood dripped from his chin.
But in his heart… was fire.
