Chapter 1 - The beginning of the endless web

The sun shines brightly in the clear sky, as a lanky and lazy figure is seen laying her face on her hand, her eyes glint slightly as they flick over to a gathering of people whom are fixated at a fight between heroes and a villain, despite them being so close to danger.

The girl within the vehicle sneers at the crowd, the only thought on her mind was how stupid and mindless they looked like gushing over the battle as if they can't be caught in the cross fire at any moment.

With a displeased grunt she barks at her driver to hurry and drive her to UA, her expression displeased and her eyes narrowed as she takes one last glance at the chaos behind her.

With a smooth hum, the engine came to life, and the car made a smooth stop infront of the gates of UA High. The massive walls gave off an intimidating vibe, its white sleek walls basically screaming heroism, ofcourse all of that was lost on Morgana. As she's never been one to care for any symbols or metaphors.

She clicks her tongue in irritation as she waits for the driver to open the door, and when he finally does, she's actually impressed for once as she stares at the entrance of the academy.

The moment her heels touched the floor, it was as if the world stopped, everyone's heads turned at the only person not wearing a uniform, but instead wrapped in flashy designer from top to bottom.

Seeing her cocky grin and the luxury car, despite not even knowing her name, every student could feel a headache brewing before even talking to her.

The alarms blare as they ask that each student prepares for the examination. Causing every student to jolt, they could feel their blood rushing and pumping, except for Morgana. As it went from one ear and out the other as she fumbles around with the letter she has been given, a map of where to go in order to arrive to the principal's office.

Slowly but surely, taking her time despite the very clear instructions of when she should arrive, Morgana spent most of the time staring and cackling at the students on her way in, and finally, after more than a few confused stares from teachers Morgana eyes spot the door, written right ontop of it is „Principals Office"

*First person POV*

Is this supposed to impress me or something…? It's just gold. And like, all those fancy frames of washed up heroes and stuff, it feels kind of corny…

„Well, whatever." I utter as I lay my hands on the door handle, and with a twist, I enter the room. Immediately the smell of perfume hits me as I stare at the principal with my eyes opened wide.

Is that a dog..?

A mouse… maybe?!

What the hell is wrong with this stupid school? It just keeps on getting worse.

„Umm… are you the principal by any chance…?" I utter through gritted teeth

The creature looks up, adjusting the tiny pair of glasses, which would have looked comical if not for how much it vaguely disturbed me.

A small smile appears on its face as it smiles at me, which honestly did not feel real at all.

„Yes, indeed that would be me." Welcome, Miss Saionji"

He stares at me whilst letting the silence stretch, before finally continuing to talk.

„Normally, students are admitted based on a variety of merits, Quirk performance, moral evaluation. But in special cases such as yours, exceptions can be made for the sake of the greater good."

As the weird rat thing babbled on, I came to a conclusion.

Wow, this creature really does not like me one bit does it? He's doing a terrible job of hiding it.

My thoughts come to a halt as I see it, or him opening his mouth to talk again.

„I just trust that you'll remember…" He says as he grabs a paper from his desk „That this is a school for heroes, not a showroom. While your presence may be allowed, it's not earned. The people around you and your fellow classmates have worked very hard to be where they are. They know that, and soon, so will you."

„And with that, here is your schedule. Class A1, our batch with the most promising first years. You do not deserve to join them, however unfortunately you will be."

And with that, something in my brain just snapped as my expression almost dropped into a sneer, however I barely held it together, and after a moment of thought, I decided to clap back.

I grab the paper while I stare at Nezu dead in the eye. „Well, what can I say, we are all slaves to money are we not? Even me, and even you, I hope we both benefit from this, principal Nezu."

I utter, and walk out as I could feel his eyes drill holes into my back, the moment I exited the room, my expression dropped to an agitated glare as I stare at the floor.

„Stupid fucking rat, we'll see who wins in the end."
