Chapter 4 - Chapter 3

Mikel's POV

Leo: That's impossible, have you lost your mind?

Mikel: I have a strong feeling that...

Mikel wasn't able to finish his sentence before Professor Leo interrupted him.

Leo: If you don't stop your plan, even the soul of Bakunawa might awaken!

Mikel couldn't respond to what Professor Leo had said.

Leo: I understand your desire, Mikel, but please consider the potential impact on many others.

Mikel: Why, Leo, on the night Mr. Black attacked James's house, did you think about the consequences? Did you think they would betray Arkisha?

Leo: Enough! Put yourself in my position. Believe me, I didn't like what happened that night.

Silence enveloped the entire library.

As Mikel left, he immediately returned to his room, took a candle, and put it in his pocket.

Mikel walked to the old cemetery to visit the woman he loved most.

When he lit the candle, he began to speak to Arkisha's painting.

Mikel: How have you been? It's been a while since I last visited you here. Why, why haven't you come back yet? I've been waiting for you for so long. You promised, didn't you? You said you'd come back when Rose gave birth.

Mikel's tears began to flow as he spoke to Arkisha's silent picture.

Arkisha was the daughter of Captain Nayong. Her family was known to be the richest in the village. The whole village thrived under the leadership of the Captain. Arkisha was beautiful, with long, black, curly hair. Her eyes were chocolate-colored, and she had a sharp nose she inherited from her father. Despite her beauty, she had a personality that was unexpected. She was playful, mischievous, and sometimes grumpy, especially towards suitors. Most of all, she had a singular ambition: to study at the School of Magic.

From a young age, Arkisha was exposed to the world of magic because her mother was a professor at the Academy of Mystical Arcana.

She enjoyed watching her mother's movements, reading her books, and learning to heal.

As the years passed, she became more and more skilled in the field of magic. She eventually attended the Academy of Mystical Arcana, where she further honed her knowledge.

During her stay at the school, she met Matt. Matt was also a student with a unique personality that even professors feared due to the power he possessed.

However, Arkisha wasn't swayed by the rumors about Matt, and they became friends.

Arkisha shared her skills with him. Matt, in turn, learned from Arkisha's teachings.

One day, Matt gave Arkisha a book, a strange book—the Book of Life.

Through that book, she discovered many things and kept it secretly. She even performed strange rituals that were difficult to perform, but Arkisha didn't give up because she wanted to speak to her deceased mother.
