Alex slowly lifted himself from the rubble and brushed the dust off. He then massaged his left shoulder, relocating his dislocated shoulder with a crack.
Fortunately for him, his wounds did not reopen, making him realise that the pain was what remained most.
"Ah, that's better." He turned his focus to Ethan, who was ready to attack again. "Relax, bruh, I'm not going anywhere."
"And you, what are you waiting for? An explicit say-so? Come find me once I'm done with him."
He turned to Abigail, who snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Ethan to see what he would do, but that person had his gaze fixed on Alex.
'Don't mind if I do...' she thought, slowly backing away. After putting enough distance between herself and the chaos, she vanished into the turmoil that was the war zone.
"Now then, second round?"
Ethan merely smiled in response. There was no utilisation of abilities or weapons, at least not yet. Those lay somewhere in the rubble.
