Jimmy's message to Tom was ignored once again. Without any initial results, there was no need to add to Jimmy's worries since the issues Tom was currently investigating were not something the FBI could intervene in.
While Tom was busy with Jimmy's issues, Jimmy had nothing much to do. Not receiving a reply from Tom, Jimmy knew that he probably hadn't discovered any significant clues yet.
Mahong and his team had already conducted extensive investigations, and Jimmy's involvement now could potentially interfere with them. All Jimmy could do was watch their investigations from the command center and return to his office to review the clues they had uncovered when he had nothing else to do.
Finally, Jimmy couldn't stand it any longer and went to Hughes's office.
Jimmy, "Hughes, I want to take a trip to Albany."
Hughes looked at Jimmy, "Why?"
Jimmy, "That senator's white-gloved Scott should be in Albany, I want to start investigating him."
