Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: The Very Last Episode, Really?

"Ahh. Morning in Muskoka." Chris voice was heard as the camera panned in on the natural beauty of nature. Everything seemed peaceful and all the sounds the woods provided could be heard. Rushing water, wood peckers pecking, squeaking squirrels, and bears scratching their butts. "The birds chirping. The loon calling. The majestic gentle sounds of beautiful Northern Ontario." Just then the sound of a very loud horn went off as Chris came into view wearing a party hat. "Welcome to the most dramatic thrilling episode yet!" Chris blew on a party horn to honor the celebration. That's right everyone! This is the very last episode of Total Drama Island! Everything's been leading up to this! "It's been a long eight weeks at Camp Wawanakwa and Total Drama Island is about to come to an end. Today, two campers remain. By sundown, only one will be left standing. That camper will go home with a check for $100,000! Who will it be? Brooding, untan, alternative artist Gwen? Or the bad boy delinquent Duncan? Go grab a snack, have a pee if you have to. Sit your butt down and get ready for… the dramatic final conclusion of… Total. Drama...Island!"

The camera once again panned on Chris as the host sat down on one of the stumps near the fire pit while enjoying a special slice of Finale cake. "Welcome back." Chris greeted the audience as he enjoyed his sweet, sweet cake. "We asked our finalists to record their thoughts in our confessional booth before going into the final round."

CONFESSIONAL – DUNCAN

"What was my time here like?" Duncan repeated the question asked to prior to stepping into the booth. "Eh, you know there were some good times, some bad times. But overall I would say everything kinda sucked, really sucked, absolutely suck. But there were still some good things. Like hooking up with the hottest gal in the show. Now that was certainly a good time~"

CONFESSIONAL – GWEN

"What was it like being here for eight weeks?" Almost instantly, Gwen got a bunch of flash backs to all the crappy stuff that she's been through during every single day of camp ranging from dealing with the other campers, bug bites, dealing with the other campers, the painful and humiliating challenges, dealing with the other campers and of course dealing with the other campers. "It sucked, that's what."

CONFESSIONAL CHEF

"You think it's easy cookin' for twenty-two ungrateful teenagers?" Chef decided to speak up what things were like for him on the show. "Man I had better jobs in prison."

CONFESSIONAL – DUNCAN

"The food? Pfft, can this stuff even be legally classified as food?" Duncan mocked the horrible disaster that was Chef's cooking. Heck, the garbage from the army challenge had more of a chance to be labeled as food than Chef's cooking. "Looks more like the failed experiments in some lab where they make mutated animals or something."

CONFESSIONAL – CHEF

"Least some of these brats were appreciative." Chef stated, thinking about Owen and Lincoln who were the campers who rarely, if ever, voiced complaints about his food. "Slavin' all day at a hot stove."

CONFESSIONAL – GWEN

"The food…was disgusting!" Gwen said extremely bluntly, nearly throwing up at the thought of Chef's food such as the burgers they were given on day one, the paste they were often given for breakfast, the moldy fruit salad, and she wished she could mind wipe the brunch of disgustingness from her mind.

CONFESSIONAL – CHEF

"Less rat droppings.' Does this look like a five-star restaurant to you?!" Chef snapped as he's had about enough of these or any teenagers to last a lifetime.

CONFESSIONAL – DUNCAN

"The people? Well they were all a bunch of weird freaks…but ya know so is everyone from Juvie so I'm used to it." Duncan simply shrugged as he took out his knife and started carving the walls of the outhouse. "Though a few did stand out. There were some cool guys like DJ, Geoff, and Owen. Total dorks and losers like Harold, Zeke, and Cody. And then there's Courtney who, once again, hottest and wildest chick I've ever met. Can't wait to see ya babe."

CONFESSIONAL – GWEN

"The people here…sucked!" Once again, Gwen was blunt with her opinions. Especially when it came to the people she met on this God forsaken island. "They were nothing but a bunch of backstabbing, manipulative, two-timing, fame-hungry, dimwitted, certifiably insane, really weird, psychotic, redneck, overbearing, goody-goody, know-it-all, party-obsessed jerks." Gwen listed off the traits of all the campers that ticked her off, yet still she couldn't say everyone was bad. "I was lucky enough to meet seven people who are actually sane." Gwen thought about DJ, Cody, Leshawna, Dawn, Bridgette, Owen, and Lincoln. Just then Gwen blushed a bit as a certain guitarist came to her mind. "And their was also one…really cool person I met here."

CONFESSIONAL – DUNCAN

"The one thing I'll be remembered for?" That was the last question asked of Duncan, the delinquent thinking hard about the things the people watching him will remember him for. Some memories flashed to his head of him giving a deer a noogie, spray painting various spots in camp, pulling all sorts of pranks, threatening people, and all that sort of stuff. "Well obviously my great personality." Duncan finished off by stabbing his knife into the wall.

CONFESSIONAL – GWEN

"What will I be remembered for?" Gwen was asked the same question and she thought about the times she was constantly moody, anti-social to nearly everyone on the island, all her sarcastic remarks, and the times she got physical. "My great personality…okay, I'm done here."

Once Gwen and Duncan were finished with their confessional interviews, Gwen, Duncan, and Chris could be seen in a field that would be the home to the very last challenge of Total Drama Island. There was a starting line drawn with white chalk and behind that line were two sets of bleachers. Behind one of the sets of bleachers was a large picture of Duncan and behind the other was a similar picture of Gwen. "Now it's time to welcome the twenty-two campers who did not make it to the finals." Chris made the introduction to the people he just said. All the 22 campers who were voted off the island came into view as they walked towards the two sets of bleachers, a few waving to the final two campers along the way.

As Gwen blushed as Trent passed her by and gave her a smile and a wave, Courtney stepped up to Duncan and whispered to his ear, "Bring home the gold!" And gave him a peck on the cheek for good luck.

"You bet I will babe." Duncan told the CIT as he rubbed the spot Courtney kissed.

"Would everyone who's walked the Dock of Shame and left camp on the Boat of Losers kindly take a seat in the Peanut Gallery of Failure?" Chris instructed the losers of the show as he pointed to the bleachers. "The side you choose should represent who you would like to cheer on to victory in today's final competition."

And so the past campers all sat down on the bleacher that represented the camper they would be cheering for. On Gwen's side was Trent, Cody, Leshawna, Dawn and Lincoln with Edward, Bridgette, DJ, Harold, Katie and Sadie, Eva, and Lindsay. Meanwhile on Duncan's side was Courtney, Owen and Mr. Coconut, Justin, Tyler, Geoff, Noah, Beth, Ezekial, Izzy, and finally Heather who was now equipped with a wig to cover her now bald head. "Heh, nice rug," Gwen mocked as Heather adjusted it.

"Oh, bite me." Heather narrowed her eyes harshly at Gwen. Yeah she hated both Gwen and Duncan, but if she had to choose she hated Gwen just a little bit more so she would sit in the cheer section for Duncan. Just then Heather was cut off from her thoughts as Izzy dug through her wig leading to Heather to pull her head back away from the psycho hose beast. "Stop touching my hair, crazy girl."

CONFESSIONAL – HEATHER

"Gwen is going down. How do I know?" Heather smiled evilly as she pulled out a special kind of chocolate bar that had a picture of a toilet on it. "Just a little muffin with a love note from 'trent.' It's amazing how easy it is to tamper with baked goods! Fast acting for strong and reliable relief!Sucker!"

"Why is Heather smiling like that?" Gwen asked her fellow finalist as the goth started to get creeped out by the smile Heather was giving them.

"Who knows," Duncan shrugged as he crossed his arms. "Probably planning our deaths or something like that."

"Bet she has a plan for every person on the island." Gwen followed up, getting a good chuckle from the both of them."

"Duncan, Gwen," The host with the most got the attention of the finalists as he walked up to the final two. "This is your chance to tell the Peanut Gallery of Failure what you would do with the money if you won, and why you deserve it?"

"Well, I guess I'm pretty proud of getting this far." Gwen had to admit, the fact she made it to the final two and made it past everything thrown at her was nothing short of impressive. While she wasn't one to usually toot her own horn, even she had to say she did pretty damn good. "I mean, maybe if I can survive here, the rest of high school won't be so bad."

Just then Gwen was cut off by Izzy laughing a bit in response with the Goth silencing the crazy girl with a glare. "Oh, sorry…"

"Well I have to admit I never really expected to win the money," Gwen stated as the plan she had for the money was rather recently made since she didn't think there was a chance for her to win until fairly recently. "But I think I'd go travelling, see some of the country's greatest art pieces and marks and then to university to study art history."

"Whoo!" Leshawna cheered as a few other of Gwen's supporters clapped and nodded in response. "Yeah, that's it! Girlfriend's got some goals!"

"Nice plan Gwen!" Lincoln cheered as, being an art enthusiast himself, he could always respect someone willing to put in that kind of work to learn art instantly earned his support.

"Brbrbr!" Edward cheered while waving around a flag with Gwen's face on it with his tail.

"Very cool." Trent complimented, getting a blush and smile from Gwen.

Duncan rubbed his chin a little bit in thought before telling everyone what his plans would be. "Well I should probably use a bit of it to get myself out of juvie when the show's over," A few of Duncan's supporters nodded, fully expected that. "After that I might get my own garage or shop to work on cars and stuff like that, always been handy with tools so it should be pretty cool." This got a few cheers from a few of the guys who always thought it was cool. "And finally…well law school ain't cheap so I suppose it wouldn't hurt to save whatever's left to help Courtney out in that department."

"Awww Duncan," Courtney smiled at her boyfriend willing to share some of his potential prize money to help her out like that. "Thank you."

"Yeah well…" Duncan sheepishly began as he scratched the back of his head, a few of the past campers giving him sly looks. "It would be helpful having my own personal lawyer for whenever I get into trouble." Courtney rolled her eyes, but still smiled and clapped at her boyfriend.

"All right. It's time for the final challenge. The rejected Olympic relay race." Chris began to explain the rules of the final challenge of Total Drama island. Gesturing to Chef, everyone saw the buff cook in a red tracksuit carrying a flaming plunger like an Olympic torch…towards a toilet where the toilet water was used to snuff the flame. "Each of the three parts was pitched to the committee, but sadly rejected as an Olympic sport." Chris then pulled out a chicken hat as well as a cow hat. "First, each of you has to put on one of these."

Handing the hats to the final two, they both quickly started to dislike this challenge. "I think it's clear why this event wasn't accepted." Gwen stated as she glared at the two peanut galleries after hearing some chuckling.

"Yeah, I'm already starting to hate this." Duncan stated as he very reluctantly put the cow hat on.

"Dressed as a cow and a chicken, run to the first location and shimmy up the pole to retrieve your flag." Chris explained as he gestured over to a part of the racecourse that had two long poles with flags on top of them, blue for Gwen and green for Duncan. "If you don't have the flag, don't bother comin' down off that pole!"

"Alright!" Geoff cheered as he rose a fist in the air. "That'll be a piece of cake for the D man."

"Don't count Gwen out yet Geoff," Dawn pointed out with a smirk. "She's quite the climber herself."

"As long as my panties aren't exposed again, I'm fine with it," Gwen pointed out as she put on her chicken hat.

"Next, you will cross a three-hundred-meter balance beam, suspended over a massive gorge, while carrying an eagle's egg." Chris explained, Dawn gasping a bit when she heard what Gwen and Duncan would have to carry, as Duncan smirked.

"Hpmh, doesn't sound too hard." Duncan said confidently. "All these episodes make you lose your edge Mclain?"

"Not one bit Duncan!" Chris stated with an evil grin. "Below, your friends, the rare, but real, man-eating, freshwater sharks." Everyone shuddered as they could hear the sharks chomping down on something in the water, just showing how powerful their bites are.

"You just had to say that," Gwen blamed Duncan for jinxing them.

"The final leg of the race is a long-distance run. Returning to the finish line here. First camper to cross the finish line wins." Chris finished up his explanation of the final challenge…or did he? "Now here's something interesting, the campers sitting in the Peanut Gallery of Failure can be allowed to help you. You two may choose three campers from the gallery to help you each with one leg of the race. They can either help you out, or try to slow down your competition. You may each choose!"

Both Gwen and Duncan thought about who they should choose as they looked in their respective peanut gallery. "Hmmmm," Gwen seemed to make her decision first as she started pointing. "Eva, I want you for the pole. Lincoln, the eagle egg one. And finally…Trent I want your help with the run."

"Happy to help." Trent grinned as he, Eva, and Lincoln all got up from the peanut gallery and head over to Gwen's side.

"Alright I think I know what I want." Duncan grinned as it all came together in his head. "Tyler, on the pole. Justin, the eagle eggs. And Courtney, the run."

"Alright people, hustle up," Courtney told the two others that were picked as they walked down over to Duncan. "Gotta give it you're A-Game after all."

"Alright all you losers, Chef will lead you to where you need to go," Chris instructed as Chef walked up to everyone and gestured for the chosen helpers to follow him. "As for the rest of you, you weren't picked so if we see you get up and try to interfere, Chef shall throw you to the sharks!" Once again, Chris pointed to the sharks for emphasis.

Heather just crossed her arms and grumbled. "Dang it…"

"Alright campers! Get ready!" Chris yelled out, signaling for Gwen and Duncan to get into starting position to begin their race for the 100 grand.

"Get ready to eat my dust sweet heart," Duncan said confidentially as he kept his eyes firmly forward and aiming at the poles with the flags.

"Make sure to remember that while I'm holding the check," Gwen smirked, not ready to let herself lose after coming this far.

"Take her down Duncan!" Heather 'cheered' for the delinquent, Duncan simply rolling his eyes and knowing it was a very hollow cheer.

"Go, Gwen!" Meanwhile Leshawna actually gave her best friend a proper cheer. "Kick his butt, girl!"

"We know you can do this!" Bridgette followed up on Leshawna's cheer.

"Just believe in yourself!" Dawn pumped a fist in the air as she rose up with Edward who also cheered once more.

"On your marks…" Chris rose up his hand, beginning to signal the start of the finale. "Get set…" Duncan and Gwen narrowed their eyes, doing their best to put all their focus into this very last challenge. "GO!"

And thus, Gwen the goth and Duncan the delinquent both took off as fast as they could, determined to get that check for 100 grand.

Meanwhile the campers that were forced to stay in the peanut gallery of failure simply watched and cheered for the final two members they were rooting for. At the cheering section for Duncan, now that Tyler was gone, the seat next to Izzy was free. Owen saw this and, with Mr. Coconut in his right arm, moved down from his seat to sit next to the crazy girl. "Hey Izzy!" Owen happily greeted the orange haired girl, however Izzy was still quite upset with the big guy and crossed her arms and looked away from Owen. "Oh come on, you're still upset with me? I know what I did was wrong but I'm sorry Iz I really am."

"…" Izzy was silent and simply glared off into the distance.

"Please Izzy, is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" Izzy's only response was to kick Owen in the side, hard enough to make an audible sound that made everyone wince, and knock him off the bleachers. "Oowww…I guess not…" As Owen rocked around on the ground in pain, his faithful friend Mr. Coconut rolled right next to his face. "Hey Mr. Coconut, think you can talk to Izzy for me? She likes you a whole lot more than she likes me right now."

"…" Mr. Coconut was silent because, well, he was a coconut.

"Great!" Owen smiled as he picked up the fruit. "Knew I could count on you buddy!"

Owen then tossed Mr. Coconut right next to Izzy and let his little buddy do his thing. Meanwhile after kicking Owen, Izzy went back to watching the race until she heard a clunking sound next to her and saw Mr. Coconut and smiled a bit. "Oh hey Mr. Coconut." Apparently being on friendly terms with the fruit, and somehow being able to speak with him too, Izzy greeted Mr. Coconut with a smile. "How's it going?"

"…"

"Oh, should have known he asked you to talk to me…" Izzy quickly started to frown once the…'conversation' steered towards Owen. "You should know I'm still COMPLETELY ANGRY with him right now."

"…"

"Because he left me at the mercy of some psycho with a chainsaw and a hook!" Izzy justified her reasoning at being upset with Owen. Just after they sort of entered a relationship that began with Izzy asking Owen if he wanted to make out in the middle of the woods in a bush at night. "Just threw me at him to save himself."

"…"

"Yes I know it was Sir Cooky but still!" Izzy crossed her arms and looked down. "It hurt…"

"…"

"I know he's doing his best to make up for it but sorry isn't enough." Izzy explained as while she knows Owen is doing his best to make up for everything, he pretty much said sorry to her about five times a day since he came to the loser resort, by making all sorts of grand gestures and just being even nicer than usual, but it wasn't enough in the eyes of the Psycho Hose Beast. "And it won't be enough UNTIL I SOMEHOW UNLEASH ALL THIS BURNING RAGE! RAAAAAAHHHH!"

Izzy then stood up, a fire in her eyes, and pounded her chest like a gorilla…with everyone from both bleachers looking at her with disturbed looks and moving as far away from her as she could.

"She knows it's just a coconut right eh?" Ezekial asked as he scooted away from Izzy.

Meanwhile back at the race, Duncan and Gwen were nearing the poles with both of them seeing their helpers next to their respective poles. Tyler was leaning next to the pole with the green flag with Eva crossing her arms next to the pole with the blue flag. Once they made it, Duncan immediately went over to Tyler and whispered something into his ear. "What?!" Tyler gasped with eyes widened in horror as he looked to Eva. "You can't be serious bro!"

"You're my helper, gotta do what I say." Duncan grinned as he crossed his arms, leaving Tyler to look at Eva and gulp.

Meanwhile with Eva and Gwen, the goth girl looked up at the top of her pole and saw her flag flapping with the wind before looking to Eva. "Think you can throw me all the way up there?" Gwen knew how ridiculously strong Eva was and, considering Gwen figured she weighed less than the dumbbells Eva lifts, the goth thought that maybe the athletic powerhouse could toss her at least almost all the way to the top. "And can catch me if I jump down?"

"Only one way to find out," Eva shrugged as she held her hands out. Sighing, Gwen figured this was her best chance to get ahead in the race. Letting Eva pick her up, Gwen shut her eyes and was prepared to be launched up into the air. "One…two…thr-"

SNAP!

Eva suddenly froze in place, her face already going red with rage, as she felt a sharp pain in her butt. Looking behind her, she saw Tyler had used his sweat band like a sling shot to snap at her butt. Gwen's eyes widened as Eva stomped up to Tyler, her steps cracking the ground, with her blood boiling and nose releasing steam. "Uuuuuh…gotta go!" Tyler then began to run away as fast as he could, Duncan already climbing up the pole without his help.

"RAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Tossing Gwen away, the goth landing on her butt, Eva began the pursuit of Tyler so she could turn him into a human pretzel. "GET BACK HERE!"

"No! Eva!" Gwen tried to call out to her helper to return, but it was a fruitless effort as Eva's rage took over her like usual. "Grrr, dang it!"

"Shouldn't have picked a helper that's easy to exploit!" Duncan mocked the goth girl as he already made it half way up his pole. "I'll see you at the finish line! Hahahaha!"

Glaring at Duncan, Gwen quickly got up on her feet and jump onto the pole and began to climb up the pole as fast as she could, refusing to admit defeat just because Duncan managed to throw a wrench into her plan for this part. "You haven't won yet Duncan!" Gwen yelled as she made her way up. The goth knew that Duncan was athletically superior to her, but she couldn't just give in after coming his far! She came to win dang it!

However, given Duncan's head start and just how good of a climber he was, the delinquent managed to reach his flag and grab it off the pole. "Yeah alright baby!" Duncan cheered as he pocketed his flag and hopped right off his pole and jumped towards the ground, landing right on his feet. "100 grand here I come!"

"No!" Gwen yelled as she saw Duncan head towards the next part of the race and leaving her in the dust. Gritting her teeth, Gwen sped things up and climbed up even faster and pushing herself past her normal limits. Managing to reach the top, Gwen quickly grabbed her flag and jumped down. While she would have preferred sliding down, she needed to hurry up and jumping was much faster. "Ow!" Gwen let out as she landed on her feet. While nothing broke or was sprained, it wasn't exactly painless. But the goth pushed past the pain and sped ahead to the next part of the race. "This isn't over yet!"

Over at the next part of the race, Lincoln and Justin could be seen standing on the other side of the pit Gwen and Duncan would have to balance through on the thin boards while carrying the eagle eggs that were waiting for them on the opposite side to where the two teens were. Just then Chris walked up to the two from behind carrying two paint ball guns. "Alright you two, takes these." Chris handed the the two boys the paintball guns with Lincoln getting a red one and Justin a green one. "Here's what you need to do, when they get here you can either shoot the contestant going against the one you're rooting for, or shoot the, um, distractions that will come to try and knock the one your rooting for off."

"What kind of distraction?" Lincoln asked with a raised brow, knowing whatever Chris had set up for Gwen and Duncan would no doubt be something incredibly deadly and dangerous. There were already sharks in the water below for crying out loud!

"Oh, you'll see." Chris chuckled as Justin and Lincoln narrowed their eyes at the host with the most. "Good luck boys!"

Once Chris left, Lincoln and Justin readied their guns for when Gwen and Duncan would come with Lincoln saying, "Hope you got good aim pretty boy." Lincoln grinned as he aimed the gun at the plank that Duncan would be walking down, with was labeled with a green strip. "Because I'm ready to make sure Gwen has a clear path through."

"Oh I won't need aim snowball," Justin said confidently as he held the paintball gun over his shoulder, a smirk on the male models face. "I know what Duncan needs me to do, and once I do it there's nothing Gwen can do to stop it."

Lincoln simply rose his brow, eying Justin suspiciously and wondering what the beautiful man's secret weapon was.

CONFESSIONAL – JUSTIN

"Now I know what you all at home are thinking. 'Justin, why is such a handsome and flawless guy like you doing helping a total punk like Duncan?" Justin said to the camera as he rested his head on his fist, a similar smirk to the one he gave Lincoln on his face. "Trust me, I have my reasons. If Duncan wins this thing, I could get some serious cred in aiding the big winner of this show. And if this goes the way most reality shows go, then I need all the cred I can get for whats to come."

Sure enough, Duncan was the one to show up first and grinned as he went to the nest that contained the two eagle eggs. Taking one of the eggs, Duncan put the flag he collected into the nest and went to the plank with the green strip and started balancing on it while holding the egg tightly. "Alright Duncan, easy does it," Duncan whispered to himself as he took this part of the race one step at a time. Tough as he was, he didn't want to end up falling into the shark infested water for a multitude of reasons. "Just think about the $100,000 and not about the hungry sharks swimming below."

Once Duncan came into view, Lincoln got a little worried when he didn't see Gwen come up from behind at first, "Guess I better buy her some time," Gripping his paintball gun tightly, Lincoln began to aim at Duncan. "Sorry Duncan, but one shot…one kill!"

Pulling the trigger, Lincoln sent a paintball right at Duncan's forward. "Ow! Woah! Woah! Woah!" That one shot really threw Duncan off balance. The delinquent nearly lost his footing and struggled to keep himself from falling as well as keeping the grip on the egg without breaking it. But through some miraculous way, Duncan managed to keep himself from falling and get everything together and immediately sent Lincoln a glare. "What the heck dude?! I thought we were sort of friend-enemies!"

"The term is frienemies!" Lincoln pointed out as he kept his gun aimed at Duncan. "And like you wouldn't do the same to me if our positions were reversed!"

"…Fair enough." Duncan shrugged as he couldn't deny the fact that if it was him at that shooting post and Lincoln walking across, assuming he wasn't his helper, Duncan would be shooting at Lincoln like crazy. But now that Duncan was expecting it, the delinquent was able to dodge the incoming shots. Grinning, Duncan managed to duck and even jump over the shots Lincoln sent his way. While it did slow him down a little bit, Duncan was still able to make good progress. "Hahah! Gonna have to do better than that snowball!"

Lincoln narrowed his eyes at Duncan, but soon gasped and smiled as he saw someone approaching. "Come on Gwen!" Lincoln called out to the goth girl who was soon approaching the 2nd leg of the race. "I can only hold him off for so long!"

"I'm going…as fast…as I can!" Gwen grunted as she continued to run forward. Reaching the nest, Gwen deposited her flag into the nest like Duncan did and took her own egg. The goth girl was then about to go forward onto her plank, but stopped as her eyes widened in horror as she made the mistake of looking down into the gorge as well as the shark infested water. "I'm gonna die now! I'm gonna freaking die!"

"Come on Gwen! I know it's scary but you can do it!" Lincoln encouraged the goth girl to face her fears and start crossing the gorge. "Don't worry, I promise I'll help in any way I can!"

CONFESSIONAL - LINCOLN

"Gwen helped me out of a funk while I was still a contestant, I owe it to her for both that and as a friend to do whatever I can to help her win." Lincoln gave his reasoning for supporting Gwen. The goth girl really was a good friend to him and Lincoln was willing to do anything for his friends. "While I don't…dislike Duncan, not nearly as much as I used to anyway, if Gwen's gonna win then he's gotta lose!"

Thankfully Gwen was able to pull herself together and make her away across the plank. Despite the terrifying fall, Gwen sped herself up a little bit so she could catch up. And thanks to Lincoln's shooting at the delinquent and Justin's lack of shooting, the goth was actually catching up to the delinquent. Everything seemed to be going well for Gwen until-

CAW!

Suddenly a large bird came down from above and divebombed at Gwen. "AAAHH!" Gwen screamed as she nearly dropped her egg and was forced to stand still to regain her balance. Similar, Duncan was also divebombed by a bird causing him to stop in his tracks to keep himself from falling and dropping the egg. Looking up, everyone saw two very pissed looking eagles looking down at Gwen and Duncan, specifically the eggs they were carrying. Their eggs. "Angry eagle parents?! Why am I not (BLEEP)ING surprised!?"

And so things just got ten times harder for both Gwen and especially Duncan. "Grrrr, come on…" Taking paintball fire, Duncan could handle. But taking paintball fire while being dive bombed by eagle parents was a bit too much for him. But when he saw Gwen actually start to pass him, he knew it was time to bring out the big guns. "JUSTIN! DO IT!"

"You got it chief!" Justin gave a salute as he knew exactly what Duncan wanted him to do. "Feast your eyes Gwen!" Grabbed his shirt, Justin ripped it clean off his body and showed off his flawless tanned eight pack to everyone.

The effects were instant as the second Gwen's eyes went towards Justin; she was quickly struck frozen by his looks. "Oh wow…" Gwen seemed to forget about everything happening around her as she starred at the male model, not a single flaw in any of his features. It wasn't just Gwen as well, the sharks below stopped circling around waiting for one of the contestants to fall so they could stare at Justin with hearts in their eyes. Even the eagles were brought out of their rage from their eggs being stolen so they could stare at Justin…leading to one of the eagles bumping into the other one and knocking them out of the air and into the water.

CONFESSIONAL – DAWN

"I don't see what the big deal is…" Dawn said with a blank tone and stare.

As Justin did some poses to further distract Gwen and keep her from advancing forward, Duncan took the opportunity to ease his way forward. "Enjoy the eye candy sister!" Duncan laughed as he neared the other side. "I'll be enjoying the sweet, sweet, mula!"

"You gotta be kidding me…" Lincoln face palmed as he was hoping that Gwen would be able to resist something like that but it looks like it was not the case. "Gwen! Come on! Snap out of it!"

"Sorry man, but once any non-lesbian gal gets a look at me, there's nothing you can do to get them out of my spell." Justin stated surely as he flexed, really making his toned muscles stand out. Gwen and the sharks were just eating up the show, with Gwen even drooling a little bit. Just then, Duncan finally made it to the end of the gorge safe and sound, passing the 2nd leg of the final race. "Duncan, glad to see you make it."

"Glad to make it myself," Duncan grinned as he put the eagle egg into the nest. "You just keep doing what you're doing."

"Sir, yes sir." Justin just kept up his little show to keep Gwen frozen.

"Grr, come on," Lincoln growled a bit as he tried to think of a way out of this. Gwen was stunned by Justin's looks and he couldn't do anything to slow down Duncan once he passed this leg. But just then a light bulb went off in Lincoln's head as he knew just what to do. "Hey Justin!" Justin rose a brow and looked towards Lincoln…only to see the Loud boy aiming his gun at him. "Smile!"

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" Justin let out as Lincoln unleased a barrage of paintballs at him. When the white head was finished, Justin was left colored head to toe in paint. "AAAAHHHH! PAINT! QUICK! SOMEONE! THIS IS AN EMERGENCY! GET A HOSE BEFORE IT DRYS AND RUINS MY COMPLECTION!"

And with that, Justin ran away to get the paint off him quickly before it dried. "Gwen! Come on! Snap out of it!" Lincoln called out to Gwen again once Justin was gone. "Duncan's in the lead! You need to catch up!"

That seemed to do the trick as Gwen broke out of the handsome induced trance and looked forward and saw the delinquent in the distance running towards the finish line. "Oh no!" Gwen let out as she sped walk forward. With no distractions, Gwen was able to make it to the end rather quickly and quickly started racing forward so she could catch up. "Thanks Lincoln!"

"Good luck Gwen!" Lincoln called out to his friend.

At the final leg of the race, Chris could be seen with Trent and Courtney in front of a board that had a bunch of buttons and levers on it. "Alright you two, this is the final leg of the race. Whichever one of the finalists manages to complete it first wins the whole shebang." Chris explained to Duncan and Gwen's final helpers before gesturing to the board behind them. "It's your job to help slow down the opposing finalist you're not rooting for. The buttons and levers here will activate all sorts of booby traps and surprises that were set out. But be careful, you may just end up activating a trap that screws over who you're supporting. So pick carefully~"

Chris then walked off chucking, leaving Trent and Courtney to wait for the two finalists to show up. "Hope you don't mind dating 2nd place," Courtney said to Trent as she was determined to make it so that Duncan would end up the big winner.

"Could say the same thing to you," Trent retaliated as he kept his eyes on the place the finalist would be coming from.

Back at the peanut gallery, everyone was watching in anticipating for who would end up winning the final leg of the race and the entire show. The helpers were also now back and sitting down with Tyler being bruised and beat up and Justin freshly hosed down. Everyone was at the edge of their seats, hoping the camper they were rooting for would take home the check. Meanwhile Heather was crossing her arms and tapping her toe impatiently on the ground. "When's that dumb cupcake gonna kick in…" If Gwen ate it in the morning when Heather planted it in front of her cabin door, then surely at this point Gwen would be feeling a great need to use the bathroom.

"Oh, you mean this cupcake?" Spooking Heather, suddenly Dawn appeared next to the queen bee…holding the cupcake that Heather put the laxative in.

"You…how did…I planted that this morning!" Heather claimed while glaring at Dawn. She gave that to Gwen and saw the goth girl eat it from in the bushes. There's no way Dawn could have it! "How do you have that?!"

"Oh, I saw what you were baking this morning and replaced this with a fresh muffin from the buffet when you weren't looking." Dawn claimed making Heather gasp and gain a fire of hate in her eye. "So I don't think you'll see Gwen needing to use the pooper during the challenge."

"You…You…" Heather stood up and glared down daggers at Dawn.

"Hey, what's going on over here?" Chris asked as he walked up to the peanut gallery. Whenever there was drama going down, Chris had to see what was going on.

"Heather tries to sabotage Gwen by feeding this to her," Dawn pointed out when Heather's eyes widening as Chris examined the cupcake. "She filled it with laxatives."

"Wow, that's really gross Heather," Chris told the queen bee as the host smirked. "Clever, but gross."

"Ya know Chris," Geoff pointed out with a smirk on his face. "You did say anyone who tried to mess with the challenge that wasn't a helper would be thrown to the sharks."

Chris rubbed his chin in thought as Heather shifted her glare to Geoff, "Shut up!" The queen bee snapped at the party dude. "That was before the challenge actually started!"

"…well it's lunchtime for the sharks anyway, sooooo~" Chris grinned as Heather gasped and everyone else smiled. Pointing at Heather, Chris ordered his side kick, "Chef! Throw her to the sharks!"

Before Heather could try and run, Chef came up from behind her and easily picked up Heather over his shoulder and headed over to the location of the second leg of the race. "NOOOOOO!" Heather screamed as she tried to escape Chef's grip as all the other ex-campers cheered.

Back at the race, Gwen had managed to catch up to Duncan and the two were neck and neck as they raced forward towards the finish line and-

BOOM!

"AH!" Duncan and Gwen screamed as suddenly an explosion went off from under the ground.

"Oops! Sorry Duncan!" Courtney apologized from over by the board as she removed her finger from the button she pressed. "Go! I'll try and slow her down!"

"Keep at it Gwen! You got this!" Trent encouraged the goth girl to keep going and win the whole thing. "I got your back girl!" Trent then pulled one of the levers and hoped for the best. Suddenly, as he tried to race forward, Duncan ended up slipping and landing on his face as the lever Trent pulled ending up spilling out a puddle of oil right in front of Duncan. "Yes!"

"Thanks Trent!" Gwen called out to the guitarist with a smirk as she started racing forward. "Later Duncan!" Duncan glared at Gwen as he tried to get up on his feet and start running forward again.

"Oh it's on now pretty boy!" Courtney glared at Trent for his successful attempt at slowing down Duncan and quickly reached for another button. "Come on, do something that'll help Duncan!" Pressing the button, Courtney crossed her fingers and hoped for the best. Just then, Gwen was forced to stop as a bee hive dropped from above right in front of her. Soon enough, the swarm of bees that were occupying the hive all flew out and had their sights set on Gwen.

"AAAAAHHHH!" Gwen screamed as she ran away from the bees to avoid every part of her body being stung.

"Hahah! Suck it!" Duncan taunted as he managed to pass Gwen due to her having to go the wrong way to avoid the bees. "Hit her again babe!"

"You got it Duncan!" Doing what her boyfriend asked, Courtney reached for a lever and pulled it, hoping to mess up Gwen even more and guarantee a win. Suddenly a trap door opened up and from it emerged a giant squirt gun that ended up dosing pretty much the entire path with water, including Duncan, Gwen and the bees. "Oops…"

After coughing up some water, Duncan looked forward with an annoyed look. "Seriously?" Not only did that slow him down as well, but it took down the bees.

"My bad!" Courtney sheepishly let out.

"Thank goodness," Getting up, and quickly checking herself for bee stings, Gwen once again raced forward to make up for lost progress. "Haven't won yet Duncan!"

"Neither have you!" Duncan yelled back as he got up and raced forward again, the two once again neck and neck. "Ain't nothing gonna slow me down!"

"We'll see about that Duncan!" Trent yelled as he looked through all the buttons and decided on one. "Come on, do something useful." Pressing the button, Trent hoped for the best.

Suddenly a giant snapping sound was heard causing Duncan and Gwen to look in the direction of it. Both gasped as they saw an entire tree start to come down and both quickly sped up to avoid being crushed. "HOLY (BLEEP!)" Both let out in unison as the quake from the tree falling knocked them both off their feet.

Meanwhile Trent just looked at the button with widened eyes. "How does a button even do that?" Trent questioned as he had no idea how a simple little button could knock down a whole tree.

"Hi-yah!" Before Trent could question it even more, Courtney pushed another button.

Duncan and Gwen groaned as they tried to get on their feet…only to start hearing a beeping sound. Looking in front of them, they manage to make out the sound was coming from the ground…and the beeping was getting faster and faster. "Oh son of a-"

BOOM!

And just like that, another explosion went off and sent the two into the air. Soon after that, the race course became complete and utter chaos. Both Gwen and Duncan ran forward as fast as they can so they could both win, and avoid potential death at the hand of all these booby traps Courtney and Trent were activating. It surely did the job of slowing them down, but it was hard to tell if it really gave either of them an advantage.

"There they are. Two real competitors." Chris commentated as he and Chef held up a red ribbon that acted as the finish line. It wouldn't be long now before one of the final campers passed it and secured their win and 100 grand. "And if I may say, truly personifying the spirit of the reject Olympics."

Despite the absolute death trap of a field, Gwen and Duncan refused to give in as they kept pushing forward. Constantly passing and falling behind one another until-

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A large explosion went off between the two of them. Everything was silent at first, with both Courtney and Trent stopping their trap activating as they watched and hoped their respective love interest would emerge from the smoke. "Gwen! Come on babe!" Trent called out to, hoping she would emerge. "You gotta keep going!"

"You ok Duncan?!" Courtney called out too in a concerned tone. "Duncan please!"

"…RAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" Letting out a war cry, Duncan emerged from the smoke running at full sprint towards the finish line. "HERE I COME!"

"WHOOOOOO!" Courtney cheered as she clapped while jumping up and down. "Go Duncan! Go!"

"Gwen! Are you ok?!" Trent, immediately growing more worried since Gwen wasn't emerging. "Gwen please say something!"

"…AAAAAHHH!" Letting out a yell of her own, Gwen quickly emerged and chased Duncan down, refusing to let up after coming his far in the race.

"Keep going babe!" Trent cheered as Gwen quickly started to catch up to Duncan. "You can do this! Just keep running!"

"Here they come folks! The finalists of Total Drama Island!" Chris cheered as everyone stood up in anticipation as they watched Gwen and Duncan get closer and closer to the red finish line. "It's anyone's game! Whose it gonna be!"

"Go! Go! Go!" All the ex-contestants chanted as they saw the final two come closer and closer, impossible to tell who would ultimately take it!"

"It's Duncan! No wait, it's Gwen!" Chris let out as Duncan and Gwen continued to pass each other and gain the lead.

"It's Duncan!"

"It's Gwen!"

"It's Duncan!"

"It's Gwen!"

"It's Duncan!"

"It's Gwen!"

"It's-"

RIP!

The red ribbon Chris and Chef were holding up was ripped, one of the two finalists running right through it guaranteeing their win.

"THE WINNER IS DUNCAN!"

"YEEEEEEEEEAAAH!" Duncan cheered as he rose his fist in victory. You saw it here ladies and gentlemen, the last camper standing and the winner of the $100,000 dollars was the delinquent Duncan!

"WOOHOO!"

"ALRIGHT!"

"WAY TO GO DUDE!"

All of Duncan's supports were cheering loudly for the delinquent's win as Gwen's supporters all simply clapped, being good sports despite the camper they supported losing. Meanwhile Gwen panted heavily as she fell to her knees, "Dang it…" Gwen panted out. "So close…"

"Yeah well…you put up a good fight." Being a good sport, Duncan smirked as he walked over to Gwen. "Good game girl,"

"Heh, yeah, good game." Gwen smiled and looked up to Duncan. The delinquent offered his hand to help the goth up which Gwen accepted, letting Duncan help her to her feet. "Enjoy your fancy garage."

"I will," Duncan smirked and crossed his arms.

"YOU WON!" Suddenly Duncan was tackled to the ground in a hug and his face was given a barrage of butterfly kisses from his extremely happy girlfriend Courtney. "YOU DID IT! YOU DID IT! YOU DID IT!"

"Haha! Damn right I did babe!" Duncan wrapped one arm around Courtney and rose the other into the air. "Gonna make it rain baby!"

"Hey, you ok?" Coming up from behind Gwen was Trent, who put his hand on the goth girl's shoulder. "Sorry ya lost."

"Yeah, I think I'm good," Gwen smiled as she looked at Trent, reassuring the guitarist that she was fine. "And hey, I came 2nd outta 24 that's still pretty good right." Gwen then blushed and gave a bit of a smirk to Trent. "Besides, I still won in one way."

Trent's eyes widened, the guitarist growing a bit excited as he asked. "So does this mean-"

"Yes, I still wanna go out with you," Gwen chuckled as she leaned closer to Trent. "That is if you still want to,"

"Heh, nothing would make me happier." Trent pulled Gwen closer to him as the two decided to enjoy their own little win.

THAT NIGHT

And so here we are, all 24 contestants around the campfire one last time. Heather was covered in bites and bruises and her wig was now missing, exposing her bald head. Just then Chris walked up to Duncan who was standing in front of the fire with Courtney at his side with a single marshmallow in his hand. "Here we are. At the last bonfire ever. After eight brutal weeks, it is my great pleasure to announce the winner of Total Drama Island…Duncan!"

Everyone but Heather cheered in response, even the ones who were rooting for Gwen as they couldn't help but be a little excited over this. Even Harold grinned a little and rose up a fist! "Certainly gonna be nice to be a free man again." Duncan grinned as he put an arm around Courtney. "A free man with a rocking gal,"

"Hell yeah!" Courtney actually swore as she laughed and raised a fist in the air.

"Duncan, at this time I give you the ultimate symbol of survival." Chris held up the marshmallow for Duncan to take. "The final marshmallow."

"Why thank you," Taking his ultimate symbol of survival, Duncan popped it right into his mouth and savored its flavor. "Victory has never been sweeter baby."

"Yo Duncan!" Geoff called out to the delinquent with an excited grin on his face, both of his fingers pointing at Chris. "You know what it's time for?" Duncan nodded as he looked to Chris with a devilish smirk, Chris' eye's widening a bit.

"No, no, no!" Chris pleaded as currently Geoff, Owen, and Duncan were carrying the host of the show over their heads and heading towards the dock, intent on dunking Chris in the lake. "Guys, my hair! Dudes!"

"One… two… three!" The three guys carrying the host yelled out before throwing Chris into the water, all the other past campers laughing and cheering.

"I've been wanting to do that all summer!" Chef laughed at the sight of Chris soaking wet in the lake. Nothing has brought the buff cook more satisfaction than this. "How do you like that, pretty boy?! Huh?!"

"Oh Chef~" Immediately bring worry to the cook, Geoff spoke up to him with a sly smirk and sing-song voice.

"Haha, you're next dude!" Owen said with Mr. Coconut riding around in the big guy's pocket. Chef quickly started to scream and run away with Duncan, Owen, and Geoff in hot pursuit so they could dunk him as well.

"Hahahahaha!" Dawn laughed as Lincoln held her close. "That was awesome!"

"Man that was too good!" Lincoln agreed as he and his girlfriend look up at the starry night sky. "You know, even if we didn't get the money I say we both still won big time."

"I couldn't agree more~" Dawn smiled as she buried her head into Lincoln's chest.

"So, what should do know that the shows over?" Lincoln asked he and Dawn just enjoyed the other embrace.

"I don't know," Dawn simply said as she and Lincoln rocked a little. "But for now, let's just enjoy the moment."

"Yeah, that sounds good," Lincoln smiled as he just decided to enjoy the beautiful night sky and the screams of Chef with his beloved Dawn.
