Kushtaka was trapped.
The odd clothed man lived!
"He's fine." Emma sighed. She had thought she just saw someone die, while she had just stood there like a tree.
Emma was confused, "how did they just use magic? Is this just how the Spirit World functions?"
Then Emma saw Kushtaka locked in chains, and she thought to herself. " Me and Kushtaka are similar in that way, I deserve to be in chains too. I hope this man wasn't lying to me when he said it wasn't impossible to bring her back. Or else I might have to repay her in another way, or at least try to. It's kind of hard to repay someone who died an ants death."
"Emma, what's going to happen next is going to be extremely painful. But it's at least going to be a big step towards your wish!" The odd clothed man hollered, while his wet clothes continued to drip.
"I'm fine with it, as long as I get my wish." Emma hurriedly responded. Emma realized she didn't even know his name. What was it that he called himself in the note again? "By the way, I don't even know your name, mind telling me Mr. Wish granter." Emma said as memories of the letter suddenly reappeared.
"Close, but its Wishing Star, make a wish while you still have the chance to!" Mr. Wishing Star announced, his clothes spewed water everywhere while he pointed towards the sky.
"So what is that I have to do?" Emma asked, she felt like she was going to explode from laughter from what he had said.
She hadn't ever seen someone act like that before, it felt joyful to Emma.
"Nothing really, you're going to be changing species really quick. All you have to do is endure." The odd clothed man said.
Snap.
Immediately, Emma felt her skin burn. Her lungs disappear, Her brain melts.
Emma would cry if she could, she would beg to stop this if she could. Emma's mouth had already turned into visible flesh. Her eyes had fallen out.
Emma was turning into human meat paste.
And the worst part of it all, was that she was conscious while this all happens.
She could feel every part of herself break down into water. That was all she could do, she couldn't even think, just felt.
And the chained Kushtaka that had stood there struggling to get out of the chains did the same, but turned into a larger more red pile of mush.
The Wishing Star stretched out his arms towards the two, and slowly brought them together.
Clap.
The silent green grass land had echoed due the man's clap.
The two piles of mush began to fuse with each other, climbing on top of eachother to create a new body.
The Wishing Star had a strained face, sweat had come rolled down to the ground.
And finally the shape had refined itself to a humanoid pile of mush.
"And before I forget." The Wishing Star got the white robe and placed it on top of the flesh statue. He also had picked out some redder mush that was near the statue's head. Leaving Emma's mush almost completely separate from Kushtaka's mush.
Snap!
A loud snapping sound could be heard throughout the entire land. Causing some beast that are quite far away to look in surprise.
A vampiric skin girl with messy long hair, long lashes, brown eyes, and normal lips. Emma had been resurrected!
And all she thought was, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Her mind was overloaded, she thought of many things.
A woman, who wore a red dress, had called herself Kushtaka.
A village of people with old clothes.
A city with poor and injured children all around. Her mind shifted towards many scenes, many people, and a whole bunch of knowledge on many topics.
She also had thoughts of a boy with clothes that belonged in the last century. He was in a steel shed, showing off a notebook to Kushtaka. She had enjoyed her time there just a bit.
Then her mind had switched to something else.
A dark place, where no light was to be seen, it felt like no one was there. Except for a single woman. She had long completely black hair. A completely black body, with a small shine of light surrounding her, showing her figure. And her eyes were missing, so was her eye sockets. It was just a white area, where it hadn't shine, or darken.
Emma was scared. She had been fearful of this person.
Then the lady in the dark spoke, in a language that Emma never heard, but had understood. "Fa-?"
She had just stopped, only looked towards Emma with a strange look.
SHHHH!
Emma's mind felt like a broken tv. She no longer was indulged in her memories.
She was conscious, Emma could feel herself.
She was alive.
The first thing she did with her new body was touch her eyes, mouth, lip, skin, basically everywhere.
Emma had not believed it at first, but she truly had lived!
"That should, that should be enough for getting stomped to death right." Emma said in her mind, she was happy, now that she had gone through such pain, she could now say that when she brought back Luna that she had repaid her!
"But, no this doesn't count. She hadn't made a decision, but I chose to go through all of that. The only way to redeem myself is to bring her back. And there's nothing I won't do for that!" Emma shouted in her newly made mind.
There was something shocking about herself right now, Emma had only noticed this just a bit ago. She had fused with Kushtaka!
"Phew, how do you feel Emma? You're a spirit now!" The Wishing Star said while wiping off his sweat with a wet coat.
"I feel alright." Emma replied mindlessly, she was still too caught up with herself.
Many pieces of information had been infused with her, she was a spirit, a spirit was several times stronger than a human. She felt like she was superhuman. Another tree of knowledge Emma had were Gifts, something that all beings in this world had at birth.
A Gift granted a person an ability to do literal magic! But unfortunately only a single type. Emma could shapeshift, similar to Kushtaka. But weaker at the same time, Kushtaka had developed her Gift by a lot, and Emma has not inherited that for some reason.
And then there was Agony. Everyone with a Gift had that too. Agony is just magical as Gifts, just not in a nice way. They were considererd the downside of a Gift.
"Why is it that I had to experience great pain, but Mr. Wishing Star had just stood there?" A voice that belonged to Emma asked in her mind.
"I chose this vessel through a process of elimination. Your Agony should be pretty mangable, if my information is correct all it does is ask 3 questions per day. If you fail to answer these questions within a 3 day time limit, then you experience a fourth of the greatest pain that you ever felt. "
"Remember this though, now matter how much your agony hurts, never stop wishing. If your agony destroys that part of you. then you have lost yourself, and what you value." The Wishing Star said with a serene voice.
"What If I'm a monster?" The voice in her head continued. " What if I don't deserve to have stuff to have things to care about in the first place?"
