"Things are going out of hand", Aiden spoke to the assembled officers of the alliance.
Aiden was at the HQ when the emergency message from the Last Bastion came through. Though he was not in the list of the intended recipients, he was at the time speaking with one of the intended recipients.
That's how he came to know about that and joined in when all the officers who received the message arrived at the conference hall.
Though he was not someone who worked for the alliance, he was allowed because the alliance was in need of human resources. They were already occupied with the issue of the cults, and if they made any movements in the open, the cults might cause a disruption, halting any help that they could send to the Last Bastion.
Sending reinforcements to the last bastion might appear simple, but it is not.
