That morning, I stood on one of the side balconies overlooking the inner courtyard. I wasn't hiding. Just far enough not to be immediately seen.
Lana stepped out of her room with light steps. She looked tidy and ready to start the day. Her smile was already bright like the sun that hadn't fully risen. Ezric was already waiting for her below, sitting on the stone railing with his legs swinging.
"Good morning, your grace!" Ezric called out with an overly cheerful tone.
Lana chuckled. "How many times do I have to tell you, don't call me that?"
"Alright then, stubborn princess," the boy replied as he jumped down. They began walking slowly, joking as usual.
Not long after, Lucen appeared from the opposite direction, wearing a dark cloak and a relaxed expression—even though his head was still bald thanks to Sylas' prank. Strangely, he didn't seem embarrassed. In fact, he looked proud, as if the baldness was a symbol of honor.
