"So that's how it is," Deidara muttered, nodding in understanding. However, disbelief still lingered on his face.
"This guy is the Fourth Mizukage?" Mui frowned as he stared at Yagura, his crimson three-tomoe Sharingan fixated on the figure. "Such an overwhelming amount of chakra!! Is this what a jinchūriki's chakra feels like? And this isn't even including the tailed beast's chakra—his own chakra alone is terrifying!" Mui was genuinely shocked. This was the first time he had truly encountered a jinchūriki; he had only heard stories before. But never had he imagined that their chakra could be so monstrous.
The chakra of a tailed beast was red, while human chakra was blue—a distinction easily noticeable to anyone, let alone someone with the Sharingan like Mui.
This phenomenon was not surprising, though. If a jinchūriki didn't possess an immense reserve of their own chakra, how could they possibly suppress the chakra of a tailed beast? Although the sealing process helped mitigate most of the beast's chakra, even a small fraction of it would be unbearable for an ordinary person.
Of course, if a jinchūriki fully mastered and subdued their tailed beast, becoming a "perfect jinchūriki," the seal would no longer be necessary. When the beast submitted completely to its host, it would no longer harm them. Moreover, the jinchūriki could freely utilize the beast's chakra while remaining fully conscious, even transforming partially or fully into the beast itself. This was what made a perfect jinchūriki truly terrifying.
Take Killer Bee from the original storyline, for example, or Naruto Uzumaki after forming a deep bond with Kurama—their chakra reserves were nearly limitless.
At this moment, Ao looked at the Fourth Mizukage standing atop the building, his icy gaze sweeping over the crowd below. With a complex expression in his eyes, Ao spoke slowly, "It's been a long time, Fourth Mizukage-sama."
Ao had once served under the Fourth Mizukage. Back then, Yagura had greatly promoted Ao and even gifted him the Byakugan that the Hidden Mist Village had obtained by chance. Ao owed much of his current status to Yagura's support—though this was before the Fourth Mizukage had been controlled.
Ironically, it was thanks to the very Byakugan Yagura had given him that Ao became the first to notice something amiss with the Fourth Mizukage. One could say this was unintentionally a safeguard Yagura had left for himself. It was precisely because of this Byakugan that the truth about Yagura being controlled gradually came to light.
However, not all shinobi believed that the Fourth Mizukage had been manipulated. This disbelief was one of the reasons civil war erupted in the Land of Water. After all, the idea that a Kage could be covertly controlled without anyone noticing was hard for most people to accept at first.
In reality, most of the Allied Shinobi Forces gathered here also harbored doubts about whether the Fourth Mizukage was truly being controlled. Their reasons for opposing him weren't solely based on this claim but rather stemmed from their inability to tolerate his brutal reign.
Regardless of whether Yagura was being controlled or not, his actions had already sown the seeds of rebellion among the shinobi. Even if things had progressed normally, his downfall would have been inevitable.
"Ao, you still remember that I am the Fourth Mizukage? What does it mean for you to stand here now?" Yagura's voice was cold, his icy glare causing many shinobi present to shudder involuntarily. As the legitimate Fourth Mizukage, his authoritative presence was not something ordinary shinobi could easily withstand. Moreover, most of the Allied Forces were former members of the Hidden Mist Village and had once served under Yagura. They instinctively feared their former leader.
"I am grateful to you, Fourth Mizukage-sama. Without your promotion and guidance, I wouldn't be where I am today. I've never forgotten your kindness," Ao said somberly.
"Oh? If you remember all that, then why are you helping these traitors oppose me?! I trusted you so much!" Yagura's tone was frigid, laced with anger.
"Don't misunderstand me. My words just now were directed at the real Fourth Mizukage, not at you—a mere puppet!!" Ao's expression turned frosty as he addressed Yagura.
"You… You dare!!" Yagura's face grew even colder upon hearing Ao's words. The killing intent in his eyes was no longer concealed, and his features twisted into a menacing scowl as he glared at Ao.
"You can stop pretending. My Byakugan sees everything clearly. There's another chakra presence in your brain—it's the power of the Sharingan, isn't it?!" Ao declared coldly.
"What?! The power of the Sharingan?!" The Allied shinobi gasped in shock at Ao's revelation, immediately turning their heads toward Mui, knowing he was also a member of the Uchiha clan.
"He is indeed being controlled by the power of the Uchiha clan. There's a powerful ocular force lurking deep within his brain. Though it's hidden extremely well, my Sharingan can still detect it!" Mui stated calmly.
"Could it be true? Is the Fourth Mizukage really being controlled?!" Some of the previously skeptical Allied shinobi now gazed at Yagura in disbelief.
"I fought against an ocular genius of the Uchiha clan from Konoha—Uchiha Shisui. This ocular power is strikingly similar to his. Without a doubt, it belongs to the Uchiha clan." Ao's voice remained cold and unyielding.
"Nonsense!! Ao, you treacherous wretch! How dare you betray the trust I placed in you?!" Yagura's voice dripped with murderous intent as he stared at Ao.
"Hmph!!" Ao snorted coldly, showing no remorse.
