Ben asked him, "Where will I get the techniques from? You had told me when the time was right." Mahaansh said, "Yes, now that you have an understanding of your needs and money to purchase the techniques , I guess I can tell you. The most prominent place from where you can purchase the techniques is the 'Gyagar Central Martial Repository' or GCMR. It is a government funded library, which involves the information and training facilities for martial techniques. There are some techniques which can be bought with money, some which are available only after completing certain missions and some really advanced techniques which are available only if you receive certain level of clearance.
The next way is to join certain powerful organizations who will provide techniques for work.
Another way is from the military. When you join a branch of military, that branch or division will have a martial repository. You can get techniques from there as well, in return for completing missions or from promotions."
Ben digested this information. " Well I think I have to worry about it after this mission. The techniques are expensive right?"
Mahaansh said, "Yes, they are. The low tier ones itself cost about 100,000 mudras. There are high tier ones that cost about 1 billion mudras even."
Ben had his mouth hung down. Mahaansh and Vishok chuckled at this. It was the reaction they had when they heard this the first time. Bean asked, "Why are they so expensive? What is the 1 billion price tag? Who can even purchase that?"
Vishok answered that, " Well Ben as it turns out, it is not very easy to create martial techniques that can be practiced by a large number of people. The innate technique that you have is unique to you and you only. There may be other people who has the claw technique you have, but it will have its difference. A lot of research needs to be done before a technique is deposited in the repository. Even for the low tier techniques that is done. "
Ben was curious about another thing. "What makes a technique high tier or low tier? Why is there such a difference in price tag?"
Vishok said, " It has to do with the meridians that are affected by these techniques. If the techniques primarily affects primary meridian channels, they are low tier techniques. If they affect the primary and secondary meridian channels, they are medium tier techniques. If the techniques is designed for aura flow through primary, secondary and penetrated meridian channels, they are high tier techniques."
Ben had a confused look. Vishok explained further, " You see primary meridian channels are the strongest and sturdiest meridian channels in the body, followed by secondary and penetrated. So, designing techniques that utilize these are easy. But the penetrated meridians are relatively delicate and hence, the techniques that utilize them need to be designed very carefully. Now, the question that you might have is , why do we need to utilize the penetrated meridians if they are really delicate? That has to do with the degree of control and efficiency these techniques give. Once mastered, you will be able to channel your aura to only the exact parts that are associated with the execution of the technique. While for the techniques which utilize the primary channels only, the aura efficiency is difficult.
Another reason high tier techniques are difficult is because they can only be designed by Monarchs or Entities. The reason for that is that, only they have the senses to detect the subtle changes associated with utilization of penetrated meridians which are deep inside the body. Thus each of these techniques become extremely expensive."
Ben had a lot of information to digest. He had his questions as well. "So what kind of techniques should I purchase? Should I wait to get more money and purchase high tier techniques."
Mahaansh answered that, "You should not. This is because to purchase the techniques you need money. Knowing your nature, I don't think you want to get money from your parents. Hence, you need missions to get the money. To do missions you need to have some amount of prowess. So start small from low tier techniques, which will help you complete missions and using the income from those missions, purchase more advanced techniques. Also, it is difficult to learn the high tier techniques as you need to control the power much more delicately. So it is better to start with the east to learn low tier techniques."
Ben sighed. He had to digest a lot of information. Whatever had to be done could only be done after he gets the money from this mission. Ben also had a question. "So actually happens in the learning process of these techniques? I don't think conventional training works here."
Vishok said, " No. Conventional training methods does not work here. In normal physical techniques you actually familiarize yourself with the movements involved in the technique and make it into muscle memory. Here not only is the physical body involved, but the meridian channels are also involved. As such, you need to learn how much aura you need and where it should be used in order to execute the technique.
But as a beginner knight, you do not have that much control over your meridian channels. Hence training resources are also needed when you purchase a technique. These methods conditioning your body to subconsciously release aura internally through various vital points during the execution of techniques. For techniques with external materialisation of aura, both internal aura circulation and external manifestation are trained.
So when you start learning, you will need these training resources. Hence the cost will also be higher when you start.
This is also why it is important to select the right techniques. When you have the right techniques, on the foundation of those techniques, you can learn high tier techniques which are linked to your foundational techniques. So you will already be conditioned in the right path.
Also, there are some other classifications for techniques. But they are not that important right now. You will learn about it later. For now, you can go with this classification.
Well now contemplate on the information we have provided you. While I try to cash what we have earned."
With that Ben was left alone by both of them. He had a lot to think about. He had to think about the purchase of the techniques as well and his plans for the next 28 days.
