Ben calmed himself down and thought about the things Mahaansh and Vishok told. ' So that is how the techniques are divided. I was not expecting such a huge price tag for the low level techniques. Well there should be all forms of techniques, mainly focussed on primary fields of combat. I would need techniques from all these fields. Then there is training resources and my debt from the other procedure. All in all, if I want to be safe, I need about 2 million mudras to pay of the debt and to purchase and train 1 or 2 techniques. Only if I have techniques can I find more missions for which I am eligible for. Well that is the wealth part.
Now for the exact techniques I need. From the information I have and the feed back they both gave me, I would urgently need an attack technique. Some thing which utilizes the aura properly and which is lethal enough. The question is whether it should be powerful technique, used to finish the combat quickly, or if it is something which will sustain the fight for a long period. I always like to end the combat as soon as possible. And I am a hand-to-hand fighter. So it is better to end the combat quickly.
Next comes speed. I don't think I need that at the moment. The principles and movements of Sharabha Chalanam are sufficient at the moment. Still I will see if there are any techniques that are meant for speed and agility.
Defense is another area where I lack. If what my teacher said is right, I need to get a technique which will help me to conduct aura internally and reinforce me and also which can manifest aura externally at the same time. One such technique is enough and it should cover all defense for the time being. Since I am not a some one who prefers defense all the time, one technique should be sufficient.
The next technique to look for are the ones that are associated with my meridian seed. I am sure that there would be techniques that are exclusive to shamanic meridian seed users. I need to check if it can help me increase my power and thus push me to the higher ranks of Knight Relam.
Well that is a lot of techniques. I don't know if the income from this mission will cover all these expenses. Teacher and Vishok had told me that Martial Knights don't use medicines for improving their prowess. Well then most likely I will have to cash out all the herbs I get here. It has to be used wisely.
Tomorrow, I need to be more active. I need cover more area, while also being cautious. Teacher and his friend may not be able to save me always. I need to be mindful of my surroundings. The danger zones. While being dangerous, there might also be opportunities there.
One area where I should go is the territory of the trava lupis. It is dangerous, but there should be some resources there. At least I will be able to hunt a lone lupis. From what Vishok said, the area is filled with plant type resources. Marech and Surcasin may even be there. Although obtaining Ratherai may be too much. Even otherwise, there are many herbs here. The problem with them is that they need to be preserved properly. That is a hassle. But if what Vishok said is correct, he should be able to sell all of these.
Next is the territory of the blesk coraxes. There is a small hill filled with high rising trees. There is a 'murder' of coraxes in those trees. But I can't underestimate these birds. Since they can fly, they might pose more challenge than Malcen. Then there is the eggs of these birds. Well I don't know if I will be alive if I try to take the eggs. Let us not take unnecessary risk. I will try for some lightning attribute resources there as well. That is that.
There is one thing I forgot. How am I going to escape the senses of these creatures? All of them have an innate sixth sense and I am only learning about it. The only way I know is to shroud myself in aura. Well I can also use herbs to mask my smell and move as stealthily as possible. I will target only one place in a day. I can't be too greedy.
Another place is the territory of the qon prosimians and terra prosimians. Terra prosimians are incredibly territorial. The type of resources in their area are not much alluring. But the terra prosimians themselves are a living tressure trove. From what I read, their energy core is a stabilizing agent in artifact refinement. Even their blood can act like a stabilizing agent. But they cannot be killed in that large number and I am not supposed to go into their territories. I can only pray that one of them comes out to roam and I kill it. Man what a pain. Well can't blame the government. If it is not protected, they might already be dead now. Another good thing about them is the fact that they can sense the treasures buried underground. Many ores can be discovered by the help of these creatures. Well since I can't do much, they will be my last priority. Next is the qon prosimians. Well they are a pain. If they even get a whiff of me, they will come to kill me. The resources in their territory are the ones which will help to raise the life force or aura. Even without that, I will still kill those creatures if I sight them. If I raid their places, I might get the carcasses of other creatures as well. Their territory is somewhat near. So I will go there first thing in the morning.
An area about which I just read is the aquatic life here. The ponds and lakes here also have many healing type elixirs in them. But the problem is the under water environment. I have no idea as to what kind of creatures lurk underwater and have no techniques that can help me fight underwater. My meridian seed is also not something suited for that. May be I can tr my luck carefully. But that will be my last priority.
That takes care of the various danger zones in my area. Then I have think about the measures I must take. There is nothing I can do against the lighting and the powers of trava lupis. I can defend against one or two of them. But if a whole group of them comes, I will be powerless. The terra prosimians have advantage on the ground. Even their senses are dependent on seismic signatures. But since I can't go into their territory, there is nothing much I can do there.
But the ones I must consider is the senses of the qon prosimian. Its sensitivity towards blood is extremely high. That makes it difficult to kill in its territory. I can go and look at that cave. But even now, I shudder at the thought of pressure from there. Well I can avoid that and go to other parts of their territory. I can also use some herbs to mask my smell.
