Adam spread his hands, looking helplessly at Kevin before he finally managed to squeeze out a few words.
"Did I offend you in any way?"
Was he coming to flaunt his happiness this early in the morning?
Without saying a word, Kevin had achieved his purpose and directly returned to the office. Adam, on the other hand, observed his shirt and couldn't help but sigh.
Kevin had always been very particular about his attire, but he was now wearing a shirt bought from a budget store in the mall by his wife; it was obvious that she held a certain place in his heart.
Perhaps Kevin himself hadn't realized it yet, but he surely would in the future.
Around noon, Adam knocked on the office door and offered, "Want to grab lunch?"
Only then did Kevin lift his head from the documents. "Lunch?"
"Yeah, it's almost twelve." Adam glanced at his watch, wondering if his friend had lost his train of thought from all the reading.
Kevin took out his phone and sent a message to Jessie.
