{The Run – 6:05 P.M.}
The wind was cool against my cheeks as I jogged down the sidewalk, ignoring the few people who pointed or whispered when they recognized me. I didn't care what they thought. Let them talk.
They must have recognised me from the damn video of me that was circulating the whole estate.
I ignored their pointed fingers, glares and laughter like they were invincible before my eyes. I didn't come out for them, I came out to run. Not just for the exercise but to clear my mind. There were too many damn things going on lately. The company anniversary party, Fiona, my father and also, the humiliation I went through the other day because of a damn pervert who can't keep his hands to himself.
My feet hit the pavement with rhythmic thuds, arms pumping, and eyes scanning the area every now and then. I wasn't just running to stay in shape.
I was waiting for something.
Or... someone.
