"Okay, girlfriend, time to take you home," Stella said softly, brushing Sarah's hair out of her face as she lay limp across the couch, completely knocked out from the liquor and all the secrets she had spilled.
Victor, standing nearby with his hands in his pockets, glanced at her with a smirk. "She's said a lot tonight. Things she'll regret if she ever remembers them."
"She better not," Stella muttered under her breath.
Victor stepped forward. "You've already got your car. Want me to help you get her to it? At least she won't embarrass you on the way out."
Stella paused. "Wait… what about her car? We can't leave it here."
"I'll just leave mine here and drive hers back to the mansion."
Stella paused, frowning. "That's not the problem. I'm scared of taking her home like this. What if her sister sees her? Or worse—her dad? God forbid she wakes up and starts repeating everything she just told me. I'm finished."
