Chapter 91 - Chapter 91 – No One Is Born Standing at the Top, Perfect Susanoo!

Chapter 91 – No One Is Born Standing at the Top, Perfect Susanoo!

Those sinister eyes, the silver-white skeletal energy, the clone technique, the Goro Goro no Mi, and the repulsive and attractive forces he used while killing the Celestial Dragons...

From the abilities Renji had displayed so far, it was clear he possessed four completely incompatible powers.

This had completely overturned everyone's understanding. Were these Devil Fruit abilities, or were they part of some unique racial power?

No one knew.

Had such a race even existed in the past 800 years?

Even Saint Saturn couldn't figure it out. He was in charge of research, had studied countless races in his lifetime, yet he had never seen one like Renji.

"Hey, Vice-Captain Kaido, what kind of ability user is your captain, exactly?"

In the distance, Ginny and the others were standing by for retreat. When she saw Renji through the broadcast, she felt numb all over.

It really seemed like she had unknowingly latched onto the right leg!

"How would I know?! And stop putting 'vice' in front of my title!!"

Kaido was a little despondent now. He had thought that after eating the Azure Dragon Fruit, he might be able to defeat Renji—but who knew Renji still had more cards up his sleeve?

He remembered when he first joined the Rocks Pirates, everyone in the crew had said Renji was the weakest division commander. He believed it, since they all seemed to have their reasons.

But now, it felt like he had been scammed!

This was the weakest commander?

Kaido instinctively glanced at Charlotte Linlin beside him. He had the feeling that Renji was even more formidable than her. At the very least, the pressure Renji exuded now felt far more direct than what he sensed from Linlin.

However… something was off with this woman.

Kaido muttered to himself. Charlotte Linlin was now looking at Renji the same way she had looked at him when he first joined the crew.

Turning back to the broadcast, Kaido suddenly understood—it looked like he had been discarded, and Renji was the new target.

Oddly, he felt relieved by that, and maybe even a little schadenfreude.

"Kaido, let's make a deal. Get your captain drunk for me, and I'll owe you a big favor!"

Charlotte Linlin licked her lips, a strange glint in her eyes.

She had to have a child with Renji!

This guy was clearly a member of some special race!

How had she not seen it before?

If their child could inherit both their traits, she couldn't even imagine how powerful that child would be.

"Oi, who would get their own captain drunk? Linlin, don't even think about it. I'm not betraying my captain!"

Kaido snorted coldly. Who did she think he was?

He might have all the traits of a pirate, but at the very least, he wouldn't betray his captain!

Besides, who knew? Maybe someday he'd beat Renji and become captain himself.

If he did something so disgraceful now, what would Renji think of him later?

"So, you're refusing?"

Charlotte Linlin's eyes flickered with a trace of surprise—she hadn't expected Kaido to refuse.

She didn't think there was any reason to refuse, really.

She wasn't trying to harm Renji. Who knows? Maybe he'd even enjoy it?

They could have lots of kids together!

Besides, Renji looked good, and so did she. If he liked her and could accept her having children with other men, then the crew could still belong to him too.

She'd even let the kids call him "dad"!

"Of course I'm refusing! Who betrays their own captain?!"

Ginny silently gave Kaido a mental thumbs-up.

Even though this so-called vice-captain was clearly ambitious and always talked about becoming captain someday—and even tried to convince them that Renji would become the vice-captain instead—

At least he wasn't shameless enough to betray his current captain!

Ginny knew that Renji might not actually suffer from something like this, but still—how could anyone go about things this way?

All in all, Kaido had done well.

She acknowledged Kaido as the vice-captain now!

"...I mean you'll have to pay more."

Betraying his captain? That wasn't free!

This called for a raise!

Kaido might refuse other deals, but getting Renji drunk didn't seem like too big of a deal to him.

Besides, who knew? Renji might just fall for Charlotte Linlin's beauty.

After all, she was the most beautiful woman in the Rocks Pirates.

Her figure and face were flawless. Countless pirates had gone mad over her.

But Kaido couldn't stand the idea of her wanting to give birth to an entire pirate crew...

With every kind of weird race included.

"I was too naive. I really thought Kaido had principles..."

Ginny sighed at her own gullibility. She had genuinely believed Kaido would stand firm, never bow to evil.

But he just asked for more pay...

"No problem. I'll get you another Devil Fruit later—but only if you succeed. If you fail, you get nothing!"

Charlotte Linlin spoke, and Kaido nodded in agreement. The two of them then turned their heads to look at Ginny and the other two—as if warning them not to go tattling.

"I think... maybe we should ask the captain for his opinion..."

Ginny timidly raised her hand. Being stared at by the two of them made her feel a lot of pressure.

"You're too young to understand the lethal charm a mature woman holds over a man. Just sit back and watch, little girl. He'll fall for me."

"..."

What!?

Fall for you, my foot!

Ginny just meant maybe talk to Renji first—if he agreed, she wouldn't object. But tricking him into getting drunk just felt wrong!

"Ginny, I think she might be right. If the captain finds out we tried to stop it, wouldn't he be mad at us?"

Ivankov tugged on Ginny's sleeve and spoke quickly.

Sure, Charlotte Linlin was taller than Renji—but maybe Renji was into that kind of thing?

She had a great figure, a beautiful face, and Ivankov didn't know about her true intentions. He just assumed she liked their captain. Maybe the captain was just dense or hesitant, so she decided to use a "special" method.

That being the case, maybe she really would become the captain's wife and board the ship together in the future. If they offended the captain's wife now, wouldn't that mean they'd be targeted later?

"This..."

Ginny hesitated too, but eventually nodded and agreed not to speak of it.

Seeing the sparkle in Charlotte Linlin's eyes as she looked at her captain, maybe she really had overthought things. This woman might just purely like Renji without any other motives.

"Don't worry, I won't harm your captain. On the contrary, I'll make him enjoy it..."

Charlotte Linlin could see the little girl's concern and made her promise. She simply wanted to bear Renji a child. It wasn't like she'd go so far as to kill him afterward.

With that thought, she said no more and turned her attention back to the livestream.

Five versus one—it was undeniably domineering.

Especially when twenty-five Susanoo appeared on the battlefield—only then did Saint Saturn and the others realize that the silver-white energy giant Renji had used earlier was just a prototype. Now that the fourth form had emerged, the twenty-five Susanoo could be seen even from far away.

"Truly pathetic."

Renji looked at them with amusement as they struggled against the twenty-five Susanoo.

In his mind, he was already analyzing things. If he remembered correctly, the Holy Knights had twelve members.

Aside from Garling, who was fighting Whitebeard, six were currently unaccounted for, which made Renji somewhat wary.

Many Devil Fruits in this world dealt with laws and rules. One misstep could get you caught in a sneak attack.

He wasn't afraid of that. What he feared most was seastone.

If only the Devil Fruit's weaknesses could be eliminated.

With his Iron Balloon-like physique, Renji didn't worry about being ambushed—his defense couldn't be broken.

Unfortunately, although Susanoo was powerful, the physical strength of people in this world far exceeded that of the shinobi world.

So, Armament Haki—yes, the next step would be integrating Haki into Susanoo.

Renji started planning in his heart. Internal durability would be the foundation, while the outside would be protected by Armament Haki.

"Alright, this game's gone on long enough. Let's start with you."

Renji turned to the man who had attacked him earlier with a hurricane.

His ability appeared to be from the Hurricane-Hurricane Fruit.

One of Renji's clones took advantage of an opening and slapped him. Instantly, a marking appeared on his body. Sensing the Flying Thunder God seal, Renji's lips curled into a smile. His longsword was now coated in Armament Haki.

Flying Thunder God Slash!

"Danger!"

The man was suddenly overwhelmed by a deep sense of unease. A moment later, he felt like something had pierced straight through his heart—he didn't even have time to activate his elemental form.

Looking down at the blade through his chest, he turned in disbelief to see Renji behind him.

How... how did he do that?

"One."

Renji pulled the sword free and tossed a fruit to one of his clones. "Take this and wait nearby."

He wanted to see if the Devil Fruit would respawn into that fruit.

The clone took the fruit and quickly left, while Renji looked to the others and said, "Playtime's over. It's time to finish this. Let me show you the ultimate power of the Uchiha clan."

Renji dispelled all the clones. Maintaining twenty-five fourth-form Susanoo had drained a lot of stamina.

Bones began to grow from his body, and Susanoo expanded beyond its fourth form. The silver-white wings on its back unfurled. Of its four arms, the upper two held swords, the lower left held a mirror, and the lower right gripped a bow.

Perfect Susanoo.

The left sword was the Totsuka Blade, and the mirror was the Yata Mirror—both originally part of Itachi's Susanoo, though they were sealed treasures of the Uchiha clan. Itachi had taken them after the massacre.

After Renji became clan head and awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, he naturally unlocked them and took them back.

The right-hand sword was Renji's own—a silver-white blade fused with Kamui's power that could slice through space. The bow, also from his Mangekyō, was the Arrow of Marking. Anyone struck wouldn't die, but would be marked, their life then bound to Renji.

"So strong..."

The gun-wielding girl's jaw dropped. She stared at the scene before her in disbelief. The earlier Susanoo had already overwhelmed her. But this one—larger, armed with more weapons—it was terrifying.

"Are we really fighting something like that?"

The masked man looked at Susanoo. From his angle, he had to crane his neck just to glimpse Renji standing atop its forehead.

For the first time, he doubted his own power. Could they even defeat an enemy like this?

Was this a Mythical Zoan?

No—it was even more terrifying than one.

Was this a racial ability?

It really didn't look like it.

"This can't be! This is impossible for a racial power. What Devil Fruit user are you really?!"

Saint Saturn stared at Renji. He simply couldn't believe this was a racial trait.

He now seriously doubted his own earlier judgment. Maybe Renji wasn't a Goro Goro no Mi user at all...

"That's right! You have to be a Devil Fruit user!!"

Saint Saturn was visibly rattled now—his former composure nowhere to be seen.

He didn't think he could be wrong—but did a Devil Fruit like this really exist?

This power... it seemed even more absurd than Nika!

"Devil Fruit user or not, racial ability or something else... once you're dead, I'll find out!"

Saint Saturn calmed himself, realizing he had lost his composure earlier.

"Don't bluff. It only makes your weakness more obvious."

Renji said, then turned his eyes toward the camera: "No one is born standing at the top. Not you. Not me. Not even the gods. But the agonizing vacancy on the throne of the heavens ends today. From this moment on, I shall stand above all!"

...Was this a full declaration of war against them?

At that moment, everyone watching froze and looked at Renji's spirited, confident face on screen.

Even Rocks, now on the verge of death, burst out laughing upon hearing Renji's words. "Tch—hahaha! Renji, you bastard, I really didn't misjudge you! It's a pity I won't live to see how far you'll go! What a shame!"

Standing at the top, huh...

Rocks murmured.

Far away, in Mary Geoise, Imu also moved into action.

Staring at Renji on the screen, a hint of distraction appeared in Imu's gaze.

"Susanoo Slash!"
