She was gone. Probably to her room, feeling not so good, while I was still locked up in my office doing nothing. I take all the brown envelopes with a few sheets inside containing the letter of cancellation of the lawsuit Dexton sent me a few days ago.
I didn't expect the price for the cancellation to be him successfully seducing my mate. I wasn't sure if Dexton told Shenna everything, but with or without the cancellation, I thought Shenna wanted to sleep with him anyway.
Should I believe that it was all true that she just wanted to get revenge? Didn't she reject Dexton, making it impossible for them to still be bound by a mate bond? Then what else made Shenna want to sleep with him? Was she starting to be attracted to him?
No, no! It was impossible. Just imagining it made my heart ache. In fact, knowing that only Dexton could feel and hear Shenna's call was enough to make my blood boil.
