Today was so exhausting, we have just one day before the arrival of the lord Oliver and lady Isabella leandros and we still have so much to prepare. I spent all day going over details with Steven and Maria, as we also had to incorporate the wedding banquet into the welcome banquet. I spent all day going over the arrangements, so I only saw theo during lunch.
Today I'll tell him I want to share his room with him, I no longer want to just spend the nights. Knock knock, the door opened slowly
"My dear, please come in." He smelled nice, like he just showered.
"Did you wait for me?" I sat on the couch and he sat beside me.
"Yes, I missed you. I'm sorry I couldn't make it in time for dinner." He kissed me on the cheeks again. After the last time, he hasn't tried kissing me on the lips again. All I wanted to do now was....
"My dear" his voice broke into my fantasy, dammit
"Yes my love, what did you say?"
"I asked if you wanted to share the bedroom with me. It must be hard for you to always leave the comfort of your bedroom everyday, but it's fine if you don't want to. I'm just glad to be able to spend anytime with you" he grabbed my hand and kissed pressing his soft lips against them, but I wanted them somewhere else.
"I would love to, i was going to ask you about that too. Thank you my love, if you will have me I'll be more than happy to share the bedroom with you." He stared into my eyes and smiled, but I was tired of holding back. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him in kissing his lips.
He lifted me onto his lap deepening the kiss.
"Do you want to continue this on the bed my love" I was out of breath but I have waited long enough for him to make the first move.
"My dear... " he stared deep into my eyes as I kissed all over his face. He lifted me up walking to the bed and dropping me softly.
"If you feel uncomfortable or change your mind, push me away or tell me to stop." He kissed me again.
"Dont stop" I wrapped my hands around him.
What is this? It's warm and hard. I opened my eyes slowly to his beautiful face staring at me. I touch his face softly as memories of last night floods my mindanf him being shirtless didnt make the memories fade faster. Who knew such a beautiful man would turn into a beast at night. I can't even remember how long we went for last night, not that I'm complaining, as I enjoyed it. I cover my face in embarrassment, it took me two lives to finally understand what everyone always enjoys and it felt so good. I felt his hands tighten around my waist as he kissed my forehead.
"My dear" he caresses my face kissing me on the lips. He stared into my eyes before continuing to kiss me.
"My love..... it's morning" I tried to speak but I was out of breath and overrun with pleasure.
"It's fine, we can take the whole day off, except you want me to stop" he kissed the inside of my palm. Oh what the hell, I wrap my arms around him, leaning in for a kiss.
"Dont stop"
"You can sleep more if you want to dear" he tucked me back into bed. It feels like i was beaten up with a stick, my whole body feels heavy and my back feels like it's about to fall off.
"And whose fault is it" I glared at him and he began to sweat.
"I'm sorry, i should have been more gentle" he looked so guilty, and I want to tease him more but I'll spare him for now, since he looks cute.
"Its fine, I'll just sleep a bit more" he kissed my forehead as I drift to sleep.
"Greetings your grace, his grace asked us to check up on you" maria opened up the window.
"I'm fine, I need a bath please" i know theo helped wash me off earlier this morning after we were done, but after what we did again this morning I need another bath.
"I'll get the ladies your grace" the door opened, as Sarah and stella walked in.
"Greetings your grace, we already have the bath filled" I struggled to stand up as they both supported me up. I heard them whisper and giggle but I was too tired to ask why.
"It seems you had a very good night your grace" they were both giggling. The bath felt so nice as I soaked in the tub, i lifted my hands up and they were filled with red marks. When did I get bit by mosquitoes, but they aren't itchy.
"We will have lunch sent to you, your grace"
"No I'd like to have lunch with theo" I stared at my reflection in the mirror and noticed that the red spots were all over my body. Wait.... these aren't red spots... I could barely meet both of their eyes as i felt so embarrassed as they grinned foolishly teasing me.
"Please pick a shirt that covers my neck and arms"
"Yes your grace" these naughty ladies.
"My dear, you should have slept In"
"Well I have so much to prepare today, your parents will be arriving tomorrow, we also have to prepare the banquet, so I couldn't just take the day off."
"I'm sorry, had I known it would be this stressful, i wouldn't have suggested the banquet"
"Its fine my love, i'm happy you did. I'm actually enjoying doing all the preparations, although its stressful."
He helped me set up the plates as he sat down and plopped me onto his lap trying to spoon feed me.
"Theo what are you doing" he held me down as i closed my eyes with my hands, embarrassed.
"I just wanted to take care of you, do you not want me to?" he pouts, fiddling with my hair, looking so heart broken. No.... don't use your face like that you cheat.
"Fine, but just for today. Sitting on you and having you feed me is so embarrassing" he kissed me on the cheek. I don't think I'm misunderstanding things, i may be oblivious but even a blind person can see how affectionately he looks at me. He may not be in love with me but I'm glad he likes me enough.
"My lady, my lord, I'm sorry but the wheel fell off. It will probably take about an hour to get a new one fixed in."
"What do you think Oliver, should we go into town and explore a bit ?"
"Of course honey, I'm sure theo and his new bride wont mind us being a bit late." She wrapped her hands around his and kissed his cheeks.
"They will be fine, I trust theo to treat her with respect. And if he hasn't been doing that, then I can just beat some respect into him" they walked hand in hand checking out the market as people stared and whispered about their very shabby clothes.
"What do you think honey? Should we get our new daughter-in-law a gift?"
"Of course, knowing theo I'm sure he hasn't gotten her any gifts yet. He may have been keeping her at arms length trying not to harm her, as his mother i worry so much for him."
"Yeah that sounds exactly like theo, let's go to that jewelry shop honey."
"Oliver.... I have enough jewelry i don't need any more." She smacked him playfully as he laughed, he had been caught trying to adorn her in more jewelry.
"Greetings duke and duchess leandros, its an honor to meet you here" an uninvited guest had suddenly approached them and their smiles faded, replaced by an annoyed scowl.
"Countess maron, we are no longer the duke and duchess and how did you know we were here? We made sure not to release our travel route because we wanted to be left alone" Oliver was always a brash man, he never beats around the bush and was always straight to the point. This put the countess in an awkward position as she wasn't expecting to be called out instantly.
"I'm sorry if I offended you your grace, i heard from the guards at the warp gate that carriages from the duchy of runan had passed through, so I wanted to pay my respect." She had found a way to explain herself but their faces didn't change.
"Lets go Oliver, the carriage should be fixed now, have a great day countess"she gave her one last glare as they both walked away leaving the countess seething in rage. She thought that the previous duchess was nothing but the lowly daughter of a baron that got lucky enough to marry a duke and now she acts all high and mighty.
There is so much to prepare for before the winter festival in lesd than 3 weeks. It would be difficult to clear out all this snow on the street, but I'm sure it would be possible. We had not anticipated this much snow just 2 months into winter.
"Lady mills, how is the construction for the new hotel going?" We walked down the streets checking for what needs repair.
"It should be completed in 1 week your grace, all that is left is to add the furnitures to each room."
"Good job, write that down. Broken guard post on the 5th street" Preparations were going smoothly, as not much needed to be repaired.
"Theodore" it was a voice i was familiar with, one that I used to be so happy to hear but for some years now the sound scratches the inside of my ear. I was already having a bad day after receiving a letter from prince callus requesting entrance into runan, now i have to deal with this too.
I spun around to face her as she grinned. She would always have jordan around like some sort of accessory so I'm guessing she left him behind when she spotted me on the street.
"Miss Ivy, address me formally i am the duke and im also married." she flinched back as her face contorts before she wears a forced smile on her face.
"Greetings your grace, how have you been? I have been sending letters to you but it seems you didn't get them. I heard lady Isabella will be returning soon, I would love to see her as i have missed her dearly"
She was smiling but it felt disgusting, I've seem how brightly clarisa's smile light up a room. Why do these people keep trying to invade my castle like rats, I should call for a priest to do some cleansing.
"You can send a letter to the castle requesting entrance" she frowns biting her lips, how unsightly.
"I have..... multiple times, but I always get rejected... it must be the doing of the duchess..... she is trying to keep us apart..... theodore you need to...." she flinched back almost slipping on the ice
"Miss Ivy i would stop there if I were you, as it would do you not good to incur my wrath by defaming my wife." She looked like she would faint anytime soon but I didn't care, my voice was icy and my glare was brutal. I could see jordan walking towards us and that was another person I would rather have no dealings with.
"Since our conversation is done here I'll take my leave first. And just a word of warning, I am the duke as such it's 'your grace' to you. I don't care if i have known you since childhood, but the next time your forget it, you will face the consequences." I turned around and left with my entourage as I didn't want to deal with them any longer. I miss clarisa, i wonder what she is doing right now.
