Astride his horse, Jett leaned forward, bracing for the steep descent. His maids swung back into their saddles, mirroring him. The four mounts reared, hooves slicing air before launching downhill at breakneck speed.
Mist swallowed everything. Seconds later the familiar high‑pitched buzzing cut through the gray, and Jett's vision snapped clear—there was the fairy whose full, bouncing breasts had bounced against his forearm far longer than propriety allowed.
Their horses thundered up behind her, startling the pixie. She whirled just as Jett's arm shot out and tucked her snug beneath his armpit. Her wide eyes locked on him, shock written across her tiny face.
