Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: “Time of Withering”

The End Herrscher unleashed her power, flooding the surrounding space with a deadly force of decay. The aura of death permeated every inch of the battlefield.

Rimuru raised an eyebrow slightly but showed no concern. The power of decay around him couldn't affect his Stellar Body in the slightest.

"Devour!"

Several miniature black holes appeared around him, sucking in the surrounding withering energy. The gravitational pull was so immense that it even tried to drag the End Herrscher in, aiming to trap her completely.

But she wasn't so easily caught. With a flash, she warped tens of thousands of meters away using a spatial jump, trying to escape the black holes' pull.

Of course, Rimuru wasn't going to let her get away so easily. He immediately activated his own spatial powers and pursued her. If he could just lock her down, then she'd be nothing more than meat on a cutting board—ready for the taking.

Thus, the two began a high-speed chase across the infinite imaginary space, like hunters locked in a deadly dance.

"Lord Rimuru, allow me to assist you!" a voice called out as Diablo suddenly appeared beside the End Herrscher, slashing at her with a clawed hand—disrupting her next teleportation attempt.

"Perfect chance!" Rimuru's eyes gleamed. He seized the opening instantly.

"Space Lock!"

Rimuru didn't give her a moment to recover—he locked the entire area's space-time, preventing any further teleportation.

"You bastards!" the End Herrscher roared in rage. A deep sense of danger gripped her.

"Why do you people keep helping these humans? What reason do you have to protect them? Evolution is what humanity needs! Those who stay stagnant should be cast aside. That's the natural law!" she barked.

"You're the kind of person that's truly disgusting," Rimuru said coldly. "Stop deciding others' fates for them! 'Natural laws,' 'historical inevitability'—none of those give you the right to play god with people's lives. Progress and development built on blood and cruelty? No thanks."

Then, a slight smile appeared on Rimuru's face. "As for why I fight… I fight for the beauty of this world. Honkai—your end is now!"

As he spoke, the black holes around him began to converge on his left hand. A terrifying gravitational force erupted outward.

Even the surrounding space was beginning to tear apart. And this time, the black hole was nearly invisible—just like a true one. Real black holes cannot be seen by the naked eye; they consume even light. That's why they are invisible—and that's what makes them truly terrifying.

The End Herrscher, overwhelmed with a sense of impending doom, finally showed fear on her face. She simply couldn't understand—how could this man wield such terrifying power?

"Die!!" she screamed, gathering all her remaining Honkai energy for one final desperate attack.

At that same moment, the people still on the battlefield suddenly noticed something strange—the Honkai beasts and Deadwalkers were slowly dissipating. Their forms broke apart, transforming into pure Honkai energy and drifting skyward.

"What's going on?" Otto asked, staring at the sky in disbelief.

"Oh? Looks like the End Herrscher's been cornered. That Rimuru guy is seriously strong," Whitebeard guessed accurately.

"Honkai… Please, don't lose, Rimuru," Kevin muttered, gripping the Judgment of Shamash so tightly that veins popped along his hand.

"Come on, Rimuru! Defeat the Honkai!" all the Valkyries and members of the Honkai world prayed silently together.

"Honkai—Final Apocalypse!"

The End Herrscher had gathered nearly 99% of all existing Honkai energy. The scale of the attack was unimaginable. Space shattered. Death, creation, ice, fire, space, truth, gravity—countless forces swirled together into a single, apocalyptic strike.

"Final struggle," Rimuru murmured, his face calm. He slowly pushed the nearly invisible black hole forward.

The two forces—one of infinite consumption, the other of absolute destruction—collided.

But there was no earth-shaking explosion. Instead, they locked in eerie stillness.

That standoff didn't last long.

Because a black hole's strength wasn't just destruction—it was endless devouring.

At first, it only consumed slowly. But the more it devoured, the stronger it became. The larger it grew, the faster it swallowed everything in its path.

Within mere seconds, the black hole swelled several times over—and the entirety of the End Herrscher's energy was sucked in and turned against her.

"This… this is impossible! I cannot be defeated!!" she screamed in despair, but the black hole had already wrapped itself around her.

"It's time for you to pay for your crimes," Rimuru said quietly, staring at the deranged enemy before him.

"Why?! Why are you helping those weak humans?! Why are you siding with them?! I've done nothing wrong! I am the Honkai! Everything I did… was for them!" the End Herrscher—no, the Honkai Will—finally realized she could not escape. That devouring force was binding her soul. All that awaited her now was death.

"Stop lying to yourself!" Rimuru snapped. "You did it for humanity? And your way of 'helping' them was to wipe them out? Did you even ask what they wanted? Your actions are revolting—disgusting to the core!"

And just like that—the Honkai Will was gone. Fully devoured. Erased from existence.

Rimuru retracted the black hole. The immense energy it had swallowed flowed into his body, fueling the growth of his Stellar Core once more.

He blinked in surprise. "This guy's total energy was almost half of mine… just badly managed. If she'd known how to use it better, that battle could've taken a lot longer."

"Lord Rimuru, it seems everything is finally over," Diablo said beside him with a smile.

"Yeah. Thanks, Diablo. If it weren't for you, this would've taken more effort." Rimuru stretched, exhausted. "Man, that was a tough one. I'm gonna need a long nap to digest all this power."

"Serving you is my greatest honor," Diablo replied, bowing respectfully.

"Well then, let's go share the good news." Spreading his wings, Rimuru flew down from the sky.

Everyone waiting below turned their eyes upward.

Kevin, Otto, Karen, Walter, Theresa, Himeko—all of them already knew the result, but they still wanted to hear it from Rimuru himself.

"Everyone, the Honkai… is gone," Rimuru declared solemnly. "From this day forward, this world is free of Honkai."

"YEAH!!"

"We won!"

"Honkai is finally over!"

"Victory! VICTORY!!"
