Chapter 44
In the sleek, modern terminal of the Canadian airport, a vision of elegance,a korean, stood poised, her long blonde hair pulled back into a sleek ponytail. Dark glasses perched on her nose, lending an air of mystery to her already captivating presence. Her short, body-hugging gown showcased her toned physique, while a jacket and hairy boots added a rugged touch to her refined features.
A backpack slung casually over one shoulder, she navigated the crowded space with ease, expertly juggling her belongings as she checked her phone. The soft glow of the screen illuminated her face, highlighting the sharp contours of her cheekbones.
Just then, a suited woman rushed towards her, her footsteps echoing through the terminal. The girl's gaze flicked up, her eyes locking onto the woman's apologetic face. With an irritated gesture, she reached out and tweaked the woman's ear, her voice laced with annoyance. "Seriously, you took too much time." she said.
The woman's face flushed with apology. "I'm sorry, ma'am," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Without another word, the girl handed over her bag, her movements fluid and confident. The woman took hold of the suitcase, following closely behind as they made their way through the airport. As they walked, the girl's effortless stride and poised demeanor left a lasting impression on those around her, a testament to her poise and sophistication.
The girl's phone rang, its shrill tone piercing the charged air like a discordant note.
"Oh, eomma, yes, I'm at the airport right now," she said, the words tumbling out in a rush of excitement. Her eyes sparkled with a deep affection, and her entire being seemed to soften, like wax melting in the warmth of a flame. "No, no, no, no, I've not boarded the plane yet" her voice laced with a soothing calm. "I can't wait too; I've missed you like crazy."
With a final, decisive click, she ended the call, and her gaze drifted back to the present.

Madam Ji Hyeon sat regally behind her desk, her slender fingers steepled together as she regarded her visitor with an air of quiet expectation. Her tailored suit was a deep, rich blue that complemented her porcelain skin, and her dark hair was pulled back into a sleek bun. She exuded an aura of calm authority, and her eyes seemed to bore into the soul of the person before her.
As the door opened, a young assistant slipped inside, her eyes darting between Madam Ji and the visitor. "Madam ji hyeon, your guest has arrived," she announced, her voice barely above a whisper.
With a nod, Madam Ji Hyeon indicated that the assistant could usher the visitor in. The young woman stepped aside, revealing a second woman who was equally poised and elegant. Her suit was a lighter shade, a soft cream that contrasted beautifully with her warm, golden skin.
As the visitor approached, Madam Ji Hyeon rose from her seat, her movements fluid and controlled. The two women exchanged a warm, if slightly formal, greeting, their voices low and melodious.
The warm glow of the office lamps cast a golden ambiance over the room as Madam Laura settled into her seat, a hint of warmth creeping into her voice. "It's been a while," she said, her words laced with a deep affection.
Madam Ji Hyeon's face softened, a soft smile playing on her lips as she replied, "Yeah, it has seriously been a while." The air was filled with the weight of nostalgia, the memories of times past and laughter shared hanging like a gentle mist between them.
Madam Laura's eyes sparkled with amusement as she murmured, "Mm," her gaze drifting off into the distance. Then, her face lit up with excitement, and she announced, "Well, my daughter Na yeon is coming to Korea today."
Madam Ji Hyeon's eyes widened in surprise, and she exclaimed, "Oh my God, you don't mean it!" Her voice was like music, filled with delight and wonder.
Madam Laura chuckled, her laughter like a gentle brook babbling over smooth stones. "That's the truth," she said, her voice filled with pride. "In fact, she should be in the plane by now – the canadian plane."
As the excitement began to settle, Madam Ji Hyeon's expression turned thoughtful, and she asked, "Okay, before we go into discussion, tea or coffee?" Her voice was like a soothing balm, calming the air and bringing the conversation back to a gentle pace.
Madam Laura's voice trailed off slightly as she replied, " ....coffee please."
Madam Ji Hyeon put a call through, and soon, cups of steaming coffee were placed before them. The aroma wafted up, rich and inviting, and the two women sipped their coffee in comfortable silence.
Madam Ji Hyeon's eyes sparkled with mischief as she gazed at Madam Laura. "Seriously, I am the happiest person," she said, her voice filled with joy. "I mean, I just can't wait for our kids to... you know, get married probably when they've gotten into college and... you know, have beautiful kids."
The words hung in the air like a promise, and then the two women erupted into laughter, their giggles filling the room with warmth and joy.
And then Madam Laura continued, "Na yeon has told me how much she misses... ah, hyun min. They're both beautiful." Madam Ji Hyeon smiled, her eyes crinkling at the corners.
Madam Laura's expression turned serious, and she said, "One thing bothers me, you know. Even before Na yeon traveled abroad for holidays, hyun Min has been acting like he's not interested in my daughter."
Madam Ji Hyeon waved her hand dismissively. "You don't have to worry about that," she said. "I will make sure he marries Na yeon. He will marry her, so you don't have to bother."
Madam Laura's eyes sparkled with amusement. "You know how my daughter can be," she said. "If she doesn't end up with hyun min..oh my goodness, she will turn the whole world upside down. my daughter's eyes can't seem to stray from your son's chiseled features, and I can tell she's smitten."
The two women erupted into laughter, They laughed like crazy people, their eyes shining with mirth and their faces flushed with happiness. Their laughter was infectious, and it seemed to spread throughout the office.
