It was like he was mistaken right now. Did he think my father would care if that ever happened? My father would only care if it was my younger sister.
If it was me, he'd be relieved that someone had helped him finally get rid of his embarrassing child. I had tried not to think about the fact that my father never bothered to come for me despite knowing he took me away. That was more than enough proof all over again that he cared only about my younger sister.
