It wasn't an exaggeration to say that the monsters occupied a bigger portion of the town then the humans. By now the building of their guild has collapsed leaving the humans only the hospital and the town hall.
Since the creatures now completed the mission of their summoner they were finally free to go whenever they wanted. Some stayed waiting for their next meal while others left the town in search for another.
Since humanity had conquered the town hall the first thing they did was notify the neighbouring towns of the possible danger.
Still that didn't make their situation any better a town of 12.000 became a barely 2.000 human settlement and the fact that they had only 2 landmarks while the monsters controlled the rest didn't make matters better.
Everyone just aimlessly waited for help from the Empire trapped in a cage of despair.
Still one day passed then two then a week and after a month. Nothing happened in that month, no reinforcements came but no attack befallen the humans. Naturally everyone grew agitated, where the hell is the help Alosious you better not think you alone can get us out of this, didn't you hear the Empire has no intention of helping us the emperor himself proclaimed us a lost cause, tch this are simple rumors he swore to protect all his citizens unconditionally taking back that oath surely other towns wouldn't allow that, well where are the reinforcement one month has passed and not a single soul came in the town do i have to remind you we have 2000 mouths to feed while being sleepless from a potential attack.
The fight kept growing bigger and bigger, people screaming out of their lungs, some people tried to stop them, some simply left uninterested, in short chaos and sometimes violence ensured between the meetings still one point was correct.
The medicine and food truly started becoming short and not only that Fall was slowly chasing Summer away. They didn't have a lot of time.
Alosious was stationed in the hospital and an overly aggressive group took hold of the town hall. The 5 people who decided to remain with their past leader spend more time saving people from them then the monsters.
They were so many groups with so many leaders each fighting to gain new followers it was truly chaotic and as of now humanity fighted humanity forgetting the monsters outside their square.
Still Alosious didn't join a guild, didn't create a gang, he simply defended everyone who the other gangs tried to abuse no matter their origins. For him everyone who survived this ordeal was an irreplaceable force.
In the start everyone ignored them then when fights between gangs started growing the 5 peace protectors were always there, for the losers of the fight they were a blessing for the winners an annoyance and because winners make history the gangs started fighting to kick away the meddlers but the 5 people were too persistent they sometimes beat both gangs in fights just to prove a point eventually everyone started hating them so all tried to get rid of them they survived that too 5 people were hard to find and they dodged whatever trap they tried to maked them fall to.
Eventually everyone started giving up agreeing to settle their differences simultaneously the lengths this type of people would go through just to draw blood was certainly unhealthy, they even started underground lethal battles each and every one of the participants trying to throw their life away. And the craziest part noone of them even wanted to think about using this violence against the monsters just outside the square.
There was a third group of people the neutrals most of them were the doctor's but also the surviving citizens who didn't want to do anything about the gangs and bloodshed, simply trying to survive.
Officially they had no leader but secretly Alosious was their lead guiding them on the steps on how to rebuild their town all of them maked clear they wanted nothing to do with combat but were more than ready to help rebuild their town and allow the humans to relieve their past peace.
And the fourth group the loner's, now that everything calmed down humans realized how much saver they were on their houses in comparison to the safest building on the town since the town provided electricity living inside was peaceful and easy the only thing you had to do was stay inside and pass the time playing on the house.
If you were weak nothing would bother you, if you were strong no matter what appeared was something you had a higher chance of handling since the creatures hunted to get stronger so they needed to feed off a stronger human. In the night wen you slept you just trapped yourself in a sphere of light from any source and rinse and repeat, the only hard part was to get out in the empty supermarkets to steal food, since noone would bother to hold the fort and even if they did simply making such nuisance disappear wasn't hard.
Witch only left one group the 5 people that actually had to work their buts of in hopes to save the rest they were Alosious,Nolia,Nixtel,Chief director Quil who joined on the condition he didn't have to fight a single of the shadowy monsters unless absolutely necessary, and last but not least Will.
Under their banner each and everyone of them had the 4 groups under their tentative command.
After all some of them were the guild members who went to save both schools the rest where the teachers who survived this ordeal and last but certainly not least the doctor's who Alosious maked sure were treated with utmost respect.
After all in his mind a blade can kill a lot but heal nothing and his mission now was to heal still as the leader he had to make a very hard and heartbreaking decision. Gathering his trusted members he explained his plans.
Since everyone was so intent of battling it out wasting their life away he had to give them the fight they wanted so the guild members with some willing doctors so they could heal their injuries were going to split up and try to for once honestly recruit member in their gangs and battle it out the idea was since everyone thought he was unfit to rule them as of now due to their situation the guild members were going to press on such insanity and pretend they too were fed up.
Unlike his original five they were ordered to at least pretend to try and kill some of them and save them on the throes of death again and again until the idea of fighting between them died out that's the true reason he needed the doctor's expertise still there was a real possibility that they would die after all noone who fought was weak they survived this hell while they were busy messing around in the guild. He expected some to think about this but everyone immediately accepted that by itself made his day.
In this hell of a situation a family of 3 neutrals tried to survive hoping for everything to turn for the better.
