3 days had passed. The sky was dark as if it would rain at any instant. Wind swept across the tall trees, rustling the unseen chakra threads laid in advance by the Ino-Shika-Cho clan.
But all these traps could not stop Hatake Genma who had sharpened senses, he easily avoided them.
From the tree line, First came Hatake Genma followed by vanguard of the Hatake and Kaguya clans. He took in deep breath and shouted "Attack!!"
Ahead, hidden across the slopped valley, waited the defensive wall of the Ino–Shika–Cho formation.
Nara Nobu, calm minded as always, stood behind a low earth trench, and was giving signals to ninja.
With both sides giving the signal, all ninjas rushed in. Each of them with different hand signs looking for an opening or opportunity to defeat the enemy ninjas.
Ino–Shika–Cho clan leader stood in front of Hatake and Kaguya clan leaders to block them and divide the power to let other ninjas focus on taking lives of weak ninjas.
Hatake Genma and Kaguya Kenshiro did not wait and transformed themself, they wanted to test their new powers and this was the best place to test it.
When Ino–Shika–Cho leaders saw this transformation, they did not speak immediately. But the silence was enough to know that they were shocked.
Nara Nobu: "Leo! He's behind this! That's no simple transformation...."
Yamanaka Hans: "I have a bad feeling about this. Get ready, they are coming."
Akimichi Gonta: "Baika no Jutsu: Super Expansion Technique!"
His body swelled outwards in seconds, turning into a rolling mass of chakra infused strength.
Akimichi Gonta: "Human Bullet Tank!"
Kaguya Kenshiro dug his claws into the ground and raised his arms. With that, a big piece of land was torn apart. He pushed it forward. It was as if he flipped the table. Gonta who was rushing in crashed into the big piece of land, but this did not affect him, only his speed was decreased.
Kenshiro: "Beast Form: White Bear's Slash!"
He met Gonta's spinning form with a double arm cross strike, white chakra spiraling around his claws. The collision of both caused the ground to deform like a dropped meteor, shockwaves spread across the battlefield. Gonta was thrown backward, sliding back for few meters.
Yamanaka Hans: aimed towards Genma "Mind Puppet: Switch Cursed Seal Technique" to link consciousness and lock him down.
Nara Nobu: trying to help Hans "Shadow Possession Jutsu: Shadow Dome!" the shadow under his feet stretched towards Hatake Genma to hold him down.
Genma: "You're clever Nara, but everything is useless in front of raw power. Beast Form: Lion's Thunder Roar!"
He let out a thunderous roar. The sound chakra shattered Hans mind control and disrupted the shadow Jutsu.
Nara Nobu: "His chakra roar disrupted formation timing..." just as he was distracted.
Kenshiro: He rushed towards Nara Nobu" Beast Form: Dance of the Willow"
A white bear with bones coming out from various part of its body was already onto Nara Nobu. Just than Akimichi Gonta stepped in and defended the attack with his huge hand.
Akimichi Gonta: "Your Opponent is me!"
Kenshiro rushed towards Akimichi Gonta, making him fall back from the Ino–Shika–Cho formation. Nara Nobu noticed this and was about to re-adjust their formation, but Hatake Genma charged at him with his sword.
Hatake Genma: "Breath of Fire: Fire Fang!" Yes, Uchiha Leo gave him this manual. But only first part and if he wanted the rest, it can only be discussed after war was over.
He lunged forward, dragging the sword behind him like a molten crescent. An arc of blazing chakra from the blade swept out towards Nara Nobu. He barely dodged it but the ninjas fighting behind him were not so lucky, theirs was a clear line drawn on the land scorching the earth.
They continued the battle each releasing different Jutsu, but the Ino–Shika–Cho combination was not working on Hatake and Kaguya clan. Nara Nobu's eyes narrowed, calculating distances, chakra reserves and fallback points.
Nara Nobu: "We're not winning this today, retreat for now!"
He shouted "Retreat..!!"
