Chapter 14 - The Hidden Truth of O'Hara

The screen showed the scene of O'Hara in the West Blue.

At this moment, O'Hara looked peaceful.

O'Hara was known as a renowned archaeological sanctuary.

It had the greatest concentration of scholars in the world and the largest library—The Tree of Knowledge.

Seeing the lush green lands of O'Hara, many still couldn't comprehend what this had to do with Nico Robin's bounty.

[Nico Robin: I was born on the island of O'Hara. When I was three, my mother went out to sea to pursue history. I was taken in by my uncle and studied alongside the scholars working in the Tree of Knowledge. Due to my talent, I passed the examination and obtained a doctorate at the age of eight, officially joining the team of O'Hara scholars.]

Genius-level talent!

Everyone who heard this could only think one thing—how unbelievably gifted she was. An eight-year-old expert of archaeology!

But then, the scene on the screen changed.

O'Hara was now surrounded by a fleet of Naval warships.

Ships slowly encircled the island. The atmosphere was tense, and viewers still didn't understand—Why would the Navy do this to a scholarly island?

[Nico Robin: The scholars and I conducted extensive research on the texts within the Tree of Knowledge. Eventually, we discovered a terrifying secret—there was a gap in recorded history. This gap, known as the "Void Century," seemed deliberately erased.

During this century, an ancient civilization once existed… but it was suddenly wiped out, leaving no trace. And this era just so happened to be when the World Government was founded. If their origin is linked to that erased civilization, then the government has erased this history to bury an inconvenient truth.

Director Clover once warned me—if we kept researching that period, it would lead to disaster.

But the World Government found out. They accused us of forbidden research on Ancient Weapons and ordered a catastrophic Buster Call on O'Hara.

I was the only survivor.

I don't know exactly what happened in the Void Century. But I know one thing—O'Hara's scholars were not criminals.

Yet the Navy executed them on false charges. They placed a 79 million bounty on me, a child, because I could read the Poneglyphs—the texts that hold the secrets of the past.

That's why I've spent my life seeking to uncover the truth—to expose what the World Government doesn't want the world to know.

The Void Century is their greatest scandal.

I am not the devil. The Navy, hiding behind a mask of justice, is the real devil.]

At that moment, the entire world watching the live broadcast was in total shock.

The Navy had offered an enormous bounty for an eight-year-old girl—not because she had committed any crime, but because she knew the truth.

They had ordered the slaughter of an entire island simply to protect a lie.

All to prevent the world from discovering what happened during the Void Century.

Even the most loyal citizens who had always believed in the Navy's justice were now questioning everything.

"This is justice?"

"No—this is tyranny!"

"The Navy… the Navy is worse than pirates!"

"Just for studying history… they destroyed an entire island!?"

Outside the screen, civilians were enraged.

Countless people had grown up idolizing the Navy as protectors, as guardians of order.

But now? That image had shattered.

Even young Navy recruits, who joined with dreams of heroism and peace, stood there in stunned silence.

They began to question everything:

"Is this the justice I swore to uphold?"

At Navy Headquarters, tension was suffocating.

Sengoku was furious—his face twisted in anger.

He never imagined this matter—buried for over twenty years—would be exposed to the entire world.

And yet, it was.

The worst part?

There was nothing they could do to stop the live broadcast.

No one knew what would be revealed next.

But everyone knew—it would be devastating.
