Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: Courting Death

"That was one move."

Just as Hun Doluo was still reeling from her shock, Hun Tiandi raised his head and calmly spoke to her as she hovered in the air.

"..."

Hun Doluo blinked, stunned for a moment, then quickly came to her senses.

"Alright, Hun Tiandi, you're something else," she said, giving him a thumbs-up from the sky.

Hovering above, she looked down at Hun Tiandi with a helpless smile."Honestly, Hun Tiandi, you're really strong. I admit I'm no match for you."

"You said you'd let me have three moves, and I know I can't beat you within those three. The only possible outcome is that I lose."

"But…"

Her voice suddenly shifted, her tone growing firm as a powerful aura erupted from her body.

"But I still won't concede defeat."

"I, Hun Doluo, have my own pride. Admitting defeat? That's impossible."

"Even if I lose after the three moves, I'll lose with dignity."

"Now, prepare to face my second strike!"

With those words, she gave Hun Tiandi no chance to respond. She raised one slender finger, circulating her cultivation technique. The forces of heaven and earth stirred violently around her.

"Piercing Wind Finger!"

Her dainty finger pointed downward, and in the sky above, a giant invisible finger tore through the void. It emerged from the rift with overwhelming momentum, vast enough to cover the sky. Furious winds howled around it—it was a colossal strike with fearsome intensity.

"Hiss…"

The spectators watching from the plaza gasped in unison as the massive finger split the sky apart.

"Hun Doluo actually used Piercing Wind Finger at the Dou Wang level? That's terrifying. You know, this is a high-grade Earth-tier battle technique. One finger strike, and even gods and ghosts fall. Its power is almost on par with a Heaven-tier technique!"

"Exactly. I was interested in that technique too, but I could never master it. Guess that's why she's a prodigy and we're just nobodies."

"Do you think Hun Tiandi will fight back? This Piercing Wind Finger isn't something like that previous Eightfold Gale—its power is on a completely different level."

"Fight back? Did you forget what he said? If he makes a move, he considers it a loss. So no, he won't fight back."

"But if he doesn't… can he even withstand it?"

"Who knows."

The shock passed, and the crowd broke out in chatter again, eager to see how things would unfold.

On the viewing platform—

Gu Yuan nodded slightly. "This Hun Doluo is impressive. To use a high Earth-tier technique with just Eight-Star Dou Wang strength—although the power is still lacking, it's respectable."

"After this finger strike, her Dou Qi will likely be almost depleted. If she wants to unleash another move at this level, it'll come at a great cost."

Hun Tiandi nodded in agreement. "Yes, Hun Doluo is indeed a standout among the younger generation. If she hadn't faced Xiu'er in the first round, she likely would've placed well in the clan competition."

He sighed faintly. "A pity. Running into Xiu'er this early means she's bound to lose the first match."

The elders on the platform all nodded at the two patriarchs' assessments. They agreed entirely.

Only Gu Xun'er sat quietly in her seat, her bright eyes fixed on the white-robed, sword-wielding figure on the stage. Her mind was completely captivated by him.

The massive finger descended like a heavenly pillar, carrying terrifying pressure as it shot toward Hun Tiandi.

He looked up at it. The oppressive force radiating from the finger strike was palpable.

It wasn't just pressure—it carried roaring winds sharp as blades, lashing across his face like invisible swords.

His robes fluttered wildly, his long black hair whipped about in the wind. Even his white clothes, pure as snow, seemed on the verge of being shredded.

Hun Tiandi narrowed his eyes and muttered, "A high Earth-tier technique… its power rivals that of a Heaven-tier one."

Through the shrieking wind, he could still see the pale face of Hun Doluo floating above—she had clearly drained herself with this strike. After all, the stronger the technique, the greater the burden on the body.

The pressure intensified as the giant finger descended. Under it, Hun Tiandi looked so small—like an ant beneath a mountain.

His knees even began to tremble slightly, his legs bending under the pressure. Clearly, Piercing Wind Finger posed real danger to him.

Sensing the sheer force bearing down on him, Hun Tiandi murmured in his heart:"Let's see just how powerful a high Earth-tier technique truly is… Let's see what it takes to break it!"

"Huh?"

Up in the sky, Hun Doluo saw Hun Tiandi's knees buckle slightly under the descending force and raised her brows."He's really going to take this head-on?"

"Truly a madman."

Others also noticed Hun Tiandi's bold move and were equally stunned.

"Madman," they whispered.

Hun Feng watched Hun Tiandi's reckless stance and muttered to himself, stunned,"Hun Tiandi, are you seriously planning to just tank Piercing Wind Finger? You're insane."

"Fine! Go ahead and die then! If you die under that finger, I, Hun Feng, will become the clan competition champion. I'll take all your glory… and your adorable fiancée too."

Hun Feng couldn't stop laughing in his heart. He prayed Hun Tiandi wouldn't defend himself, that he would let himself be crushed.

If Hun Tiandi brought this death upon himself, no one could be blamed.

One of the Four Demon Saints, Hun Tu, finally spoke:"Is he really planning to take Piercing Wind Finger head-on?"

Everyone on the viewing platform had the same thought. Their eyes turned to the center figure—Hun Tiandi, the clan's greatest prodigy in history. His bloodline was god-tier, and he was said to have the potential to become an Emperor.

But was this reckless move really worth it? What if he did die?

Hun Tiandi, the clan leader, responded coldly:

"As long as I, Hun Tiandi, am alive, what's one son?"

"There's no problem in this world a night with a woman can't solve. And if there is—make it two."

The Hun Clan elders: "..."
