Chapter 33 - Chapter 32: Meditation Method

Hearing the words "Burn him," the troll suddenly shivered. Was he going to be tied to the pillar and burned to death?

However, he didn't want to die, especially not!

Everyone didn't want to die, but he felt this way even more strongly!

"Wait! If I tell you, can you spare my life?" the troll suddenly shouted loudly at Levi who was about to turn around and leave.

A look of interest appeared on Levi's face. He leaned his face close to the troll's and said playfully,

"Tell me first. If it's valuable, I can consider not killing you."

"I know the names and addresses of five people in our wild - witch group. Among them, the sage Ian Parker lives in..."

The troll spoke as fast as he could, telling Levi everything he knew.

He once thought he was steadfast and had integrity, and that he could remain unyielding for his companions even at the cost of his life. But he himself didn't expect that when facing life and death, all his previous thoughts were so worthless!

"Is that all you know?" Levi asked calmly.

The troll looked at Levi with a pleading look on his face and nodded rapidly.

He didn't want to die, no matter what!

"He's useless. Burn him. Arrest those guys according to the addresses he gave," Levi still pronounced the troll's death sentence.

As for what he promised just now,

When it came to dealing with wild - witches, could it be called deception?

This was the attitude of most religious sects on the continent towards wild - witches. No matter who you were and no matter what merits you had, as long as you were a wild - witch, you had to die!

Without exception!

"Ah! No! You promised me, you promised me..."

The troll struggled desperately. Suddenly, he broke free from the hands of the North Wind Knight. Then, the scene changed, and he was back in the small room where they were going to be tested before!

Enoch's hand was still pressing on his head!

All that he had experienced just now was an illusion!

This was a test!

The troll suddenly realized that the purpose of this test was to screen out people like him who might become traitors!

He forcefully slapped Enoch's hand away and then rushed towards the door. He knew that if he stayed here any longer, he would die!

But before he reached the door, he felt a hand pressing on his shoulder.

It was the hand of the man with an evil face!

The troll knelt down with a thud. Tears and snot streamed down his face as he sobbed to Horn,

"I don't want to die. Really don't want to. Please spare me. I won't go to the God - Forsaken Land. Don't worry, I will never betray you."

He was really scared, so he kept pleading, hoping that Horn would spare his life for the sake of being a fellow wild - witch!

Although Horn didn't know how the troll behaved in Enoch's illusory environment, his current actions said it all!

"You know too much, and you don't have the minimum loyalty. I'm sorry, I don't want to do this either, but this is what I have to do..."

Horn's palm on the troll's shoulder emitted a burst of electric light. The pleading troll instantly became immobile!

Then he took out a walnut wood staff, pointed it at the troll, and a pale - blue arc appeared, hitting the troll directly and causing smoke to rise. The troll twitched a few times and then stopped moving.

"Thunder magic can at least make you suffer less. Don't be a wild - witch in your next life," Horn whispered as he squatted beside the troll's body, feeling his breath.

Horn felt the troll's heart for a while. After finding that the heartbeat had stopped, he said, "He's dead. Whoever has experience in handling corpses, bury his body."

A second - ring magic strike on a wild - witch would surely kill him. But to be on the safe side, Horn still conducted a basic check on his body. Only after confirming that he was really dead did he ask someone to handle the body.

"Will he really betray us?"

Azalea was trembling continuously. Presumably, there was a broken face behind her mask. She couldn't control her emotions because she and the troll were very good friends in real life.

"We've all experienced that illusion. Can't you tell from his reaction?" the man wearing a black - dog mask said disdainfully. He looked down on traitors!

"But after all..." the woman wearing a cat mask hesitated to speak. She thought that one shouldn't decide a person's life or death based on something that hadn't happened yet. What was the difference between this and those priests?

"Glutton, Wyvern, Sage, Coffee, Azalea. He knew the identities and addresses of the five of you! He betrayed you very easily!"

Seeing that the wild - witches were a bit dissatisfied, Enoch kicked the troll's body on the ground and tilted his head to say to the wild - witches.

This was something only the troll would know. Enoch would never know!

Azalea, who was very angry at first, squatted on the ground dejectedly, covering her mask and crying loudly.

He and she were really good friends, but unexpectedly, the troll could even betray her to save his own life!

"Wait, I have a question. In my perception, the troll isn't such a person. Can you give an explanation?"

The eyes of Ian exposed outside narrowed into a slit. He was very upset. His purpose of finding Horn's group was to strengthen the strength of this small group, and he even had the intention of saving them. But now, before anything had started, they had already lost a person!

"Oh, right. He did refuse for a moment, just a very short moment," Enoch said in a sneaky way, using his thumb and index finger to show a tiny distance.

"..." And Ian Parker didn't say anything more. He thought that if it were him, he might do the same.

Seeing that everyone had accepted the result, Horn clapped his hands to gather everyone's attention.

"Now that the test is over and the potential traitor is dead, it's time for me to teach you what I should teach you!"

After Horn finished speaking, Enoch took out a stack of brochures from his bosom and put them on the table. Then he took one from the top and put it away.

"First, here's this. One for each of you," Horn pointed to the brochures and said.

Ian picked up one and pushed the rest towards the middle, signaling everyone to take one by themselves.

The wild - witches reached out one after another and picked up the brochures to read.

Seeing that the wild - witches had got the brochures, Horn changed his previously casual sitting posture and said to the wild - witches seriously,

"In Ceylon, for thousands of years, all wild - witches have only survived in this world relying on their innate talents.

However, this talent is very weak and can't help wild - witches' lives in any way, but it will bring unparalleled danger to wild - witches!

Because this talent is called a sin by the church!

So for wild - witches, it's more appropriate to call this a curse rather than a talent!

And what I'm giving you now is called the Meditation Method!

As long as you practice this meditation method persistently, you can greatly strengthen the wild - witches' talents and make wild - witches become powerful!"

Horn emphasized his tone and there was also some momentum in his words:

"This is something that can change the fate of wild - witches!"
