Chapter 34 - Chapter 33: Teaching the Wild Witches

"That's right. Once you learn the meditation method, you'll find that the curse you once hated is the best gift the world has given us!"

Horn's tone became more impassioned. He was increasingly immersed in this mood. As mentioned before, Horn really enjoyed the feeling of imparting knowledge to others, and it was the first time he was giving a lecture to so many wild witches!

He held up the remaining pamphlet and said to the crowd excitedly,

"This meditation method is the key to unlocking the gift! By learning it, you can strengthen your soul, consolidate your Sea of Consciousness, and then condense your Sea of Magic Power!"

"What's the use of all these things you're talking about? What are the Sea of Consciousness and the Sea of Magic Power?"

Smiley asked Horn in confusion. Although what he said sounded really amazing, the wild witches didn't know what the actual effects were.

"The Sea of Magic Power is where every wild witch stores their energy. All the power you need for your abilities comes from here. As for the Sea of Consciousness, you'll understand once you've practiced the meditation method to a certain extent!"

After answering his question, Horn smiled and asked,

"Everyone here can create some extraordinary phenomena and has mastered a spell, right?"

Horn increasingly found that the person hidden under the black robe seemed completely different from the one who usually worked in the carpenter's shop. He seemed more relaxed now!

"What's the use of that spell? Every time I'm halfway through chanting it, I'll be in excruciating pain. Once, a wild witch with strong will tried to finish chanting the spell in front of us, but he turned into a pile of minced meat right in front of us!"

The gluttonous Fatty complained. Just thinking about that scene still made him feel a little nauseous.

"The purpose of that spell isn't to make us suffer. The reason we can't cast it is that our bodies can't bear the power it brings." Horn started his long - winded speech again.

"Everyone learns a spell when they awaken. That spell is the key to unlocking the magic circle in the Sea of Consciousness..."

He kept talking non - stop for a full half an hour, making all the wild witches present feel dizzy and their eyes go blank...

At first, the wild witches listened very attentively and felt quite excited.

But as Horn's explanation deepened, they found they couldn't understand a thing. They could only respond groggily and were too embarrassed to interrupt Horn, who was in high spirits.

Horn was giving his speech with great enthusiasm when Annie secretly poked him in the back with her finger. He frowned and looked back at Annie. Annie pointed her fair finger at the wild witches present.

He followed Annie's finger and saw that all the wild witches' expressions were very confused. Even the most knowledgeable among them, the sage Ian Parker, had a row of question marks on his forehead.

As soon as Horn saw their expressions, he knew they hadn't understood anything, and it would be a waste of time to keep talking.

He took out a walnut wood staff dejectedly from his arms. Of course, in the eyes of the others, he just took out a small stick about thirty centimeters long.

"I named this thing a staff. Hold this thing in your hand and concentrate your spirit on the staff, then you can chant the spell without getting hurt. I call the spells released through the spells magic, and those who can use magic skillfully against enemies are called magicians!"

Black Dog, who was wearing a pitch - black robe and a dog - faced mask, hesitated for a moment and then said to Horn,

"Um, can I have a try?"

He was very curious about what Horn said. He was a very belligerent person. Suddenly hearing that the spell that used to be like a death sentence could now be cast, he really wanted to give it a try.

"The staff is made of walnut wood. The smallest one can be made like mine. If anyone of you wants to try, go find walnut wood to make a staff yourself. Select good walnut wood strips, soak them in the juice of Moko grass for about an hour, then... finally dry them and they can be used.

Of course, the staff has a service life. A walnut wood staff like this should be able to withstand about ten chants of your spells. Even if you use a slightly larger stick, it won't increase the number of uses by much."

After Horn finished speaking and saw that everyone was eager to try, he quickly reminded them,

"The power of the spells you cast is equivalent to the first - ring divine spells of the Church. And you don't know what the effects of your spells are, so you must find an empty place when you experiment! "

He didn't want these wild witches to be caught and burned by the Church just because they were discovered during the experiment of the spell's extraordinary phenomena right after he taught them how to use magic.

First - ring divine spells!

Didn't that mean that as long as they had this small stick, they were equivalent to the first - order deacons of the Church!

The wild witches couldn't believe it and kept asking Horn for a long time. They didn't fully believe it until Horn got a bit annoyed.

Suddenly learning to use first - ring divine spell - level spells, the wild witches were overjoyed. The shadow brought by the troll's death in their hearts just now had all disappeared. Some of them even wanted to sing...

After the excitement, Hoe, who looked honest even with his makeup covered, raised his hand.

"Do you have any questions?" Horn asked in confusion.

Hoe hesitated for a while and then said shyly, "Well, I can't read. I can't understand the things in here."

His voice also sounded very honest.

As soon as Hoe said that, several other wild witches also realized that they couldn't read either!

So they all looked at Horn for help.

Horn suddenly felt a headache. How could he teach them if they couldn't read? He liked to be a teacher, but he just liked to spread the knowledge of the old Douglas to benefit more wild witches, not to teach people how to read!

However, Horn couldn't scold the wild witches for not being able to read because in Ceylon, being literate wasn't a necessary skill. It cost a lot of money for commoners to learn to read, and an ordinary person couldn't afford it.

There wasn't much time, and it wasn't realistic to teach these wild witches to read. So Horn orally told these wild witches how to practice the meditation method.

He had to take into account all the details of meditation. Finally, just before dawn, even Black Dog, who had the worst memory, remembered how to meditate.

In fact, meditation was a very complicated process. Being able to remember so many things in such a short time was all due to the wild witches' extraordinary memory. Even Black Dog, who had the worst memory among the wild witches, was much better than an ordinary person.

Dawn was approaching, and this gathering was coming to an end. Horn said to the wild witches,

"Alright, it's getting late. You all go back. Gather here again three nights later. Before you leave, I want to tell you,

I hope that one day,

The holy churches will collapse,

The kingdoms of the gods will fall,

Those high - and - mighty gods,

Will surely fall!

By then,

Only magic will last forever in the world!"
