Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: The witch parable 2

He stood up and grasped her neck, holding it tight he pushed her to the wall with force and she flew back to hit the cell wall hard with the shackles clanging together, the witch spat out blood, he walked up to her and crouched before her. "Still won't say anything? " Receiving no response he smirked and punched her hard, and he used his sharp nails to hold her neck with blood dripping from the pierced part of her neck.

The torture made him smile in mischief, before his hand was already in the deep part of her neck ready to snap the neck apart she said. "Why don't you kill me instead of wasting your time, "

"It won't be fun when you die so quick, it's better to slow the process, " he tilts his head his red eyes changing its colors to gold making the witch glance at him with shock.

"You are not..a normal vampire? " The witch asked him and she winced in the pain she felt on her neck.

"Less talking and more explaining, " he retorted and the witch finally said. "I'll tell you, " Rowan then released his grasp from her neck that made her fall on the ground.

"Master lycus is alive, " the witch confessed making the two male to look at each other.

"Lycus is alive, I thought he was among the werewolves who was trapped in Bismarck, " Mr Martinez said to Rowan.

"I thought so too, what the hell is he planning now? " Rowan asked him self and he heard the witch say.

"The vampires will fall," she whispered to him, 'for the wall that seals them weakens with each passing moon. When the witches' spell is shattered, their demise will be swift and effortless, like a summer breeze.'" she said with a smirk

"Why are you saying this in parables you disgusting witch elaborate," his gaze locked into hers, narrowing his gold and red eyes as he tilted his head, his expression was a mixture of intrigue and suspicion.

In the ancient lore of SCYWELLS VIK, a mysterious vampire with golden eyes was said to have existed. Unlike other vampires either the turned ones, the pureblooded or the half-blooded. His eyes shone like gold but of course still has red eyes when he has thirst for blood, hinting at unknown powers. The vampire's father was a known vampire, but his mother's identity remained a mystery, her records lost to time.

Similarly, Rowan's case sparked intrigue. Born to one vampire parent as his mother was human. He surprisingly possessed golden eyes, just like the mysterious vampire, Some speculated that he possess powers akin to the legendary golden-eyed vampire, while others believed it was an ancestral trait resurfacing. The truth behind Rowan's eyes remained a mystery, fueling whispers and speculation.

"I have just told you it is your choice to understand, " out of anger, he held her neck and snapped it separating it from her body and the witch started decomposing as the decomposed body which has now turned to ashes dissipates to the air.

"What a waste, " he then stood up and continued. "So lycus is alive, "

I think I understand the what she meant," Mr Martinez said making Rowan to quickly stare at him with his eyebrows drawn together, "Maybe what she meant to say was that, with the seal weakening, to wipe out the vampires they have to break the seal to extricate them from Bismarck and bring chaos upon us, and the humans might still be involved, you know how curious those stupid creatures are," referring to the humans, with the explanation Rowan then nodded his head in approval to what the man said.

"We have to stop them, we have to send some security men to the forest real quick, when they were talking about a strong witch where are we going to see one?"

"Ophelia died few years back I heard her husband might still be alive but I don't know too much about him, the elders might know him, " Mr Martinez said.

" Let's forget about that for now and face the matters concerning the forest, " I'll take my leave, he then stepped away from the cell room then Mr Martinez said.

"Tell the guards to come clean the mess, " Rowan nodded his head and went away few seconds, the guards that was ordered to clean the blood and take care of the cloak and chains arrived, seeing the two guards came in he left.

Conrad has started his tutoring section with Harper, who seems to be comfortable talking to him.

"Let us leave the tutoring for a while and talk, " Conrad suggested.

"Alright," she then closed the books shifting it aside. "What do you want to talk about?" She asked as she smiled.

"Tell me about yourself, I want to know more about you," he said and Harper looked at him with utter amazement, his he really the most feared students she wondered. Seeing her smile he taught his charm was already working.

"I don't have much to say but..um I love with my father after my mom died when I was still seven" she said and he sympathized like a gentleman.

 "I'm sorry to hear that."

"It's okay, I feel like you are someone I can tell all my worries so there no big deal in telling you all about myself,". Saying that Conrad left brow raised following a faint smirk at the corner of his mouth. "She was the most beautiful woman in have ever encountered, until she passed awa, the people who killed her still remained a mystery to me and my father.

"Someone killed her?" He asked with a sympathetic expression on his face.

"My father tried to keep me in the dark but It was obvious that they killed her, she was laying on the floor that was filled with her blood, I knew they killed her because there was a hole in her chest where her heart was located, blood on the walls, that scene made me claustrophobic and nyctophobic because it all happened in the night, since then my father never turned the light off anytime I sleep, sometimes my fear appears and sometimes it doesn't," She explained her voice calm and soothing to the ears, hearing her soothing voice made him smile.

"It will eventually disappear alright," he reassured placing his cold hands on hers and he smiled at her and she returned it.

"Thanks," she said, with his cold palms at the back of her hands she felt calm and relaxed, she felt the relaxing aura emitting from her and she smiled that she already has a male friend to talk to. "You know, this is the first time a male has cared for me."

"Really...?" He trailed and She nodded and he smiled at her, taking her words and smiles to another meaning, "time for the next step Harper Willows." He thought to himself, still smiling at her.

As Amber's eyes landed on them she froze, her gaze fixed on their intertwined hands. She hadn't noticed him placing his hand on her, but the intimate gesture sent a spark through her. Just then, her book slipped from her grasp and thudded to the floor. "What the...?"
