Chapter 11 - Fall of the Shelby Stronghold

"Fire! Shoot quickly!"

The cigar slipped from Tom's mouth as sheer panic overtook him. He couldn't care less about cigars now. Shouting desperately, he ordered his men to open fire. Those speeding cars screamed trouble, and Tom's gut twisted in dread just watching them charge in.

Then it began.

Gunfire tore through the night like a hurricane of steel.Boom!

A fireball erupted skyward, mushrooming like a nuclear blast. The shockwave shattered every window in the Shelby villa. Gang members instinctively dropped to the ground, terror etched across their faces.

The explosion made it obvious what those cars were loaded with. Seeing more vehicles rushing in, the defenders roared in panic and unleashed another torrent of bullets.

Tom fired wildly into the chaos, yelling, "Shoot! Shoot fast! Make sure those cars blow up!"

Inside the villa, Daniel stumbled back into his room in pajamas, his face pale and tear-streaked. The first explosion had rattled him to his core. This wasn't a battle—it was suicide. This is insane, Daniel thought. If I survive this, the Shelby family owes me more than I can count.

Elsewhere, Michelle stood still, his brow furrowed with tension. He hadn't expected Vega to be so reckless. Vega's nen could deflect small-caliber bullets, but this kind of large-scale firefight? Even he couldn't survive that kind of force.

Michelle clenched his jaw. He had to act—if the Shelby family exhausted Vega's shadow warriors, it might give him the perfect opportunity to strike.

Without hesitation, Michelle drew his pistol and fired at the driver of one oncoming car.Bang!

The vehicle kept coming, barely slowing. Gritting his teeth, Michelle fired again and again—but the bullets only made the car rattle. It didn't stop.

He growled and pulled out a much larger revolver—twice the size of a standard one.Boom!

The shot rang out like thunder. The vehicle screeched to a halt.

Michelle didn't pause. He aimed at the others, firing in quick succession. One by one, the cars stalled or exploded under his assault.

Far off, Vega's eyes narrowed. He sensed something wrong. His shadow warriors were falling faster than expected—too fast.

"Could the Shelbys have hired someone with nen abilities?" he muttered, voice laced with fury. "No matter what cards you're hiding, tonight your family dies."

He advanced, surrounded by more shadow warriors. He was prepared—his hand hovered over a hidden item, ready to activate his system and strengthen himself.

Despite Michelle and Tom managing to destroy several cars, more came—racing from three directions like a deadly triangle.

Then—Boom!

One last vehicle rammed the villa's perimeter wall and exploded. The detonation leveled the entire estate. Flames roared into the sky, and a thick mushroom cloud mushroomed over the wreckage.

A rippling nen shockwave burst outward as the multi-story building collapsed like a house of cards.

Shelby family members were shredded, dismembered, or incinerated. Some were vaporized completely. Others, broken and bloodied, screamed in agony.

Only Tom survived, protected by reinforced walls and a steel-reinforced safe room. He sat among the ruins, dazed. The empire he had built was gone in an instant.

Then came the final blow.

Shadow warriors surged through the destruction, executing any survivors with cold precision.

One stepped toward Tom, raised his gun, and pulled the trigger.Bang!

Tom Shelby's life ended atop the ashes of his home.

Suddenly, gunfire erupted again.

A black shadow warrior aiming at Tom collapsed, shot clean through the head. His body dissolved instantly into wisps of black fog.

Bang!Another warrior fell.

The surviving shadows ducked, startled by the sudden counterattack. They turned cautiously toward the shooter.

Amid the dust and ruin stood a man—his suit torn, his body covered in ash. His goatee was streaked with soot, and his face twisted in rage.

Michelle.

He raised his massive revolver again. And fired.
