Chapter 39 - Chapter 39: Greybeard's Moment Of Ignorance!

Greybeard's POV:

It has been three days since the new teacher arrived, and for the first time since becoming vice principal 30 years ago. I clocked out on time. The joy of having a goodnights sleep is so indescribable after having spent so many years burning the midnight oil. And I owe it all to professor Sun. He is a hard worker with excellent people skills. Why, even that rowdy girl from the Fujimoto family seemed to quiet down around him. That girl is one of the four entitled kids at this school not counting my coworker, who made my recent years a living hell.

They would always kick up some fuss about being slighted by some teacher or students and used their family connections to pressure the school to get rid of them. But now, all I need to do if I want to shut that girl up is send Sir Sun to handle the matter and he somehow always manages to mediate a peaceful solution. What shocked me the most was when I sent him to diffuse a violent confrontation with one of her many victims, and he managed to convince her to accept being suspended for a week without a word. With no angry letters from her parents, no threats to cut our funding, and best of all, no more Fujimoto Akane for an entire week. He is truly a gift from the heavens above, sent here to reward me for my years of suffering.

"VICE PRINCIPAL! COME, QUICK!"

Just then, one of the professors barged into my office without knocking and demanded I follow him. My many years of experience tells me someone was causing chaos again, and with one of the five people who came to mind gone. It could only be one of the remaining four.

"Who is it this time? Suzuki?" I started guessing as the professor dragged me down the hall.

"He is present, but no"

"Kobayashi?"

"No."

"Wang?"

"NO! It's not them"

"*sigh* Vice Principal Shao?"

"NO! I mean yes, he is part of it, but he isn't the one causing a scene for once."

That was surprising. Normally, that nincompoop can't help but being the center of attention whenever there is a problem.

"Could you please, just explain what's going on instead of just pulling me down the hall like this?"

"It's best if you see for yourself."

The professor led me to the practice area for practical magic lessons. And at the colosseum shaped arena a group of students could be seen on the ground, bruised and beaten, as an elderly man with a long white beard was protecting Vice principal Shao from…

"Eh…? Mr. Sun?"
