Nova's feelings are all over the place, both good and bad. :(
This is a very interesting start for this season. >:3

*A gate to a wing of Kryptarium Prison lifts up slowly.*
Noble turns to Lloyd. "This is our new maximum-security wing. We spared no expense, I assure you."
"Very wise." said Lloyd.
"How long have you guys even had this?" Nova asked, amazed and also confused while following Lloyd, since she had decided to go with him. But still kept her distance from him, not completely sure where in their relationship they were standing right now. Were they just friends, or friends with something more or were they actually dating.
"Yep. The entire wing was built for one purpose... to hold the rottenest egg of all. Well... good luck." Noble runs off. "See you on the way out."
"Aren't you gonna—" Door slams shut and lasers scan. "Stay? "Lloyd pulls a switch, a pathway zooms out in front of him and Nova towards Garmadon's cell. "Hmm. Hello, Father."
"Well, well, if it isn't the Green Ninja and my old student. To what, do I owe the honor?" Garmadon.
"You sent for me, remember? You said it was urgent." said Lloyd while slowly standing in front of Nova.
"Lloyd I don't need protection, that's what the cell is for." said Nova pushing him away.
"Did I? Hmm. That doesn't sound like me." Garmadon turns around slowly, expressing his carelessness. "I have all the time in the world in here."
"Fine." Lloyd turns around taking Nova's hand and starts walking away. "Then I guess I'll just—"
Nova started blushing when he took her hand and wasn't sure how to react.
"Oh, yes." Garmadon turns towards Lloyd and Nova. "I remember now. I did call you. Do you remember the last time we saw each other? What I said?"
*Lloyd recalls the encounter.*
"When they come, nothing will be left." said past Garmadon.
"You said something was coming." said Lloyd.
"Yes, but you didn't listen. And now, I'm afraid there isn't much time." said Garmadon.
"Time for what?" Lloyd asked.
Garmadon smiles. "To prepare for the darkness, destruction. The end of Ninjago. And while I'm okay with that, in principle, I'd rather not be destroyed along with you, so I've decided to help you fight them."
"Fight who?" Lloyd asked.
"The Bringers of Doom. You and your color-coded little ninja are no match for them. There's only one thing powerful enough to stop them." said Garmadon as he glanced at Nova with a knowing look.
Nova let out a low growl while slowly raising the middle finger with her free hand without Lloyd noticing.
"Let me guess. You." said Lloyd.
Garmadon sighs. "Let me out, and you might have a chance."
"Hmm. How do I put this. No. N—O. Not if you were the last person in all of Ninjago. There is nothing you will say that will make me trust you ever again. Goodbye." said Lloyd, turning around and walking away still holding Nova's hand.
Garmadon smiles. "Hmm. You'll be back."
".....L-Lloyd you can let go now." said Nova blushing a little.
Lloyd looked over at her and then at their hands. "Oh yeah sorry." He said letting go.
"I-it's fine, now let's get back to the others." said Nova as she began speed walking away still blushing.
"Hey Nova, wait." said Lloyd, quickly catching up as they left Kryptarium Prison.
"What is it Lloyd, we have to get back to the others." said Nova while she kept speed walking away from him, but he just kept catching up.
"Come on Ocea, you've been acting a bit weird these last few days since we saved Ninjago." said Lloyd getting in front of her with his arms crossed. "You know you can talk to me about anything."
"Lloyd it's nothing but....." Nova took a deep breath before looking at him. "I don't know where in our relationship we are standing Lloyd, and with everything going on and what is coming I just.....*sighs* I need some space to gather my own thoughts." She explained, wrapping her arms around herself.
Lloyd gave her a sympathetic look as he walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I understand Nova, take the time and space you need. I wouldn't rush you for a decision, and whatever you choose I'll accept it." He said with a soft smile.
Nova looked up at him with a weak smile. "Thanks greenie." she said, giving him a hug before then going into the shadows. As she needed some time alone to think things through, but besides her relationship with him. She also has had a bit of trouble with her shapeshifting powers, but hadn't told anyone for the past few days.
*Some time later Nova had gone back to the Monastery of Spinjitzu, looking at the mural.*
"Wow." said Jay.
"Will ya look at that." said Kai.
"It is the history of Ninjago, a history in which all of you played a significant role." said Wu.
Nova looked at each mural and noticed she was in almost all of them. "Wow, I didn't think I'll be in any of them." She thought surprised.
*Gazing at the memories.*
Season 9 painting. "I wear the Dragon Armor." said Past Iron Baron.
Season 7 painting. "Change anything, change everything." said Past Kai.
Season 8 painting. "You want this city, Lloyd? Then you can have it in ruins." said Past Garmadon.
Season 6 painting. "Wish all to go away." said Past Nadakhan.
Season 2 painting. "Useless shadow if you don't wanna do what you were made to do, then so be it." said Past Overlord.
Jay laughs. "Hey, that's us." Dareth and Kai look at each other in confusion.
"And there's Pythor... and Morro!" said Nya.
Dareth runs to the mural. "Where am I?" He runs around, looking at the paintings. "Where am I? I-I'm in here somewhere, right?"
"Oh, I'm sure you are." said Nya.
"Yeah I'm pretty sure if you look very closely, you might find yourself." said Nova.
"Okay, I'll keep looking." Dareth runs to the Season 8 painting. "Ooh, I think I see myself. There's a brown spot here, and it looks just like me. Woohoo!" Nya and Nova giggles.
"Huh?" Kai walks toward the pilot episodes mural. "What's that?"
"The Tornado of Creation. Don't you remember? We all came together and formed that—that bone-cage thingy." said Jay.
"Oh yeah. Ha. Can't believe that worked." said Kai.
"Uh, except I don't remember it looking that impressive." said Jay.
"Yeah, Master Wu. Are you sure you want to commemorate this moment? I mean, we've had better ones." said Kai.
"It is a part of our history. When all hope seemed lost, you confronted destruction with creation." Wu balances his staff on his hand. "Balance was restored. That is the power of Spinjitzu, which we must always—" A vortex opens up above the Monastery.
"Huh?" A dragon flies out. "That looked like Firstbourne." said Kai as Firstbourne crashes below the Monastery.
"Come on!" Everyone runs down the steps.
*Wu reaches Firstbourne, comforting her. Firstbourne opens her talons. Faith falls out.*
"Oh, my gosh. Faith!" Nya and Jay run up to her.
"Are you okay?" Nya asked.
"Faith, what happened? Who did this?" Wu asked as Faith whispers into his ear.
"What did she say?" jay asked.
"She said... a darkness is coming." said Wu.
Nova watched from the side as she got a bad feeling before looking down at her hands, seeing them switching between oni and human form a few times before just staying in her human form. ".....I don't like this one bit."
*The Destiny's Bounty is back. All ninja are waiting outside for news on Faith. Wu opens the door.*
"How is she?" Lloyd asked.
"Will she be okay?" Nya asked while Misako laid a handkerchief on her head. Wu closes the door.
"I've given her a powerful healing potion. She will recover. As will Firstbourne, though it will take time." said Wu.
"Did she say what happened?" Cole asked.
Wu makes tea. "She said... a darkness swept over the Realm of Oni and Dragon. She tried to resist it, but it grew and grew, consuming all in its path. Those who were touched by it were frozen where they stood like statues."
"Me and Nova was at Kryptarium Prison, visiting my father. He said something similar. He said "The darkness is coming." said Lloyd, looking over at Nova who seemed a little jumpy and uneasy.
"Well, that's creepy." Jay waves his hand over the steam and tries to blow it away.
"But what is it? What is the darkness?" Cole asked.
Wu turns to Lloyd. "What else did he say?"
"Something about "The Bringers of Doom." said Lloyd.
Wu thinking. "Bringers of doom." He goes to grab a book in the monastery but stops as Nova speaks up.
"It's the oni...they are planning to cover all the lands of creation in darkness." said Nova with her arms crossed while leaning against a wall.
"How can you be sure that's what it is?" Misako asked.
"Yeah besides you, that's a crazy legend." Jay laughs "Good thing it's just a legend, right?"
Nova let out a low growl. "I can fucking see the future, rarely I ever give you guys any info on what I know that is gonna come. But with this I can assure you, it is the oni." She said as her horns was showing up along with her tail too.
Wu gave a short nod. "Many legends begin in truth. And if there is any truth to this and what Nova is telling us... we must prepare."
"How?" Lloyd asked.
"We must warn Ninjago City. There isn't a moment to lose." Wu runs out. The ninja except Lloyd and Nova follow.
"Good thing we have the Bounty back." said Cole.
Lloyd looked over at Nova a little worried. "Nova, how come you are telling us this? You normally wouldn't with your future sight."
"...I just wanna give us a head start if possible." said Nova with a heavy sigh, her tail lashing out in a frustrated motion.
"Are you having trouble with your shifting powers? Since your horns and tail are back....and your eye are purple again?" Lloyd asked, walking over and placing a hand on her shoulder.
Nova let out an angry growl, her long oni fangs showing up now too as she pushes his hand off her shoulder. "I'm fine Lloyd, now let's get going already." She began leaving but Lloyd quickly grabbed her wrist.
"I'm not asking if you are fine, though I am worried about you. I'm asking if you are having trouble with your powers again." said Lloyd, a bit more serious but still worried.
Nova growled as she turned glaring harshly at him. "We are wasting fucking time here Lloyd. So. Let. Me. The. Fuck. GO!!" She pulled her wrist back ignoring the pain as she went into the shadows.
Lloyd was slightly taken aback by her outburst, and couldn't help but be a bit concerned about what was going on with her.
*Destiny's Bounty is flying towards Ninjago City.*
"Uh, guys? I'm picking up a lot of distress calls on UHF." said Zane.
"We're too late." said Cole.
"Maximum speed." said Lloyd.
"Hold on, everyone." Nya hits a button. Rusters slowly power up. "Come on you, unhinged ship. Mmph!" She kicks the engine. Rusters boost up to its maximum speed.
*People running out of Ninjago City.*
"Come on. Go, go, go." The Commissioner urges people to run away. "Don't look back. Don't stop. Just run." People stream by. "Get out of here."
"Uh, sir. It's here." said Jimmy as darkness slowly approaches them down the street.
"Okay, boys..." The Commissioner cracks his knuckles, flexes his muscles. "...this is why we get paid the big bucks. Draw your weapons."
"Uh, sir? Wha—we only have tasers," said a Policeman to the Commissioner who turns around. "remember?"
"What?" said the Commissioner.
" I don't even have a taser. I just got this thing." Jimmy holds out a baton.
Darkness creeps closer. "Oh, for crying out loud. Fall back! Get out of here. Run!" shouted the Commissioner and the Policemen started running.
One of the policemen stops as darkness approaches from the other side of the street. "Where now?"
"The alley. Go, go." said the Commissioner as the policemen sprint into the alley.
"Aw, it's a dead end." said another policeman.
Commissioner groans. "Ach. This isn't my day."
"What do we do?" Jimmy asked.
"Anyone have any bright ideas?" The Commissioner asked so Jimmy turns on a flashlight and tosses it at the darkness. Darkness turns it off and continues approaching them. Commissioner backs up. "Steady, boys. Steady..." Ladder and ropes drop down in front of them.
"The ninja." Kai, Jay, Cole, Nova, Zane, and Lloyd slide down the ropes. "Oh, boy, are we glad to see you guys."
"Commissioner, get your officers out of here." Lloyd passes them the ladder.
"You heard him. Move it." Policemen and Commissioner climb the ladder.
"Okay, let's see what this is made of. Care to do the honors, Jay?" said Lloyd.
"My pleasure. Lightning." Jay strikes lightning at the darkness. Darkness absorbs the lightning.
"Uh, heh. Let's see how it likes fire. Fire." Kai strikes darkness with fire. Darkness absorbs the fire. "What?"
"Okay, everybody at the same time." said Lloyd.
"Nin-ja-go." Everyone strikes the darkness with their powers. Darkness absorbs all the powers.
Nova was looking down at her hands confused, for some reason her element wasn't coming out. Unlike the ninja's powers getting absorbed, her's didn't do anything but make her powerless. "What the fuck?"
"Our elemental powers appear to be ineffective." said Zane.
"Yeah, no kidding. What do we do?" Kai asked.
"Nya, get us out of here." said Lloyd.
"You got it." All the ninja climb up the ropes and ladder, with Cole being last on his rope.
Darkness grabs Cole. "Wha—ah. Uh, guys." Struggles to hold the rope. "Help. It's got me." Darkness drags him down. "Ahh!" Lloyd and Nova let go of their ropes and jumped down towards Cole. "Ah." Lloyd pulls out his sword in midair. "Wha-ah." Oni prepares to turn him to stone.
Nova tried summoning her weapons but once again nothing was happening, it was like she was a completely normal person without powers besides her shifting powers. "What is happening to me?"
Nova looked up seeing movement and saw the darkness coming at her, but it wasn't doing anything to her but slowly wrapped itself around her. As if trying to protect her while the eyes of an oni were seen in the darkness. "Hell NO!!" She shouted getting out of the darkness running back to the others.
Lloyd lands. "Yah!" Cuts the darkness. Oni roars in pain. "Come on, buddy. I got ya. Time to get out of here." Grabs rope. "Reel us in. Quick." Pixal and Nya help Lloyd, Nova and Cole up. "We need to go save some more people."
*The ninja are on the ship with more people.*
Jay hands someone tea. "Here. Drink this. It's good for you."
Zane talks with the Commissioner. "Your chance of survival are increased."
*Lloyd stares sadly at the corrupted city. Nya, Kai, Nova, Jay, and Zane join up with him.*
"We hit it with everything we had, and it did nothing. It just went right through it." said Kai as Cole joins up with the other ninja.
"How are we supposed to fight something like that?" Nya asked.
Cole shivers. "I-I touched it. It was colder than anything I've ever felt. And there was something inside the cloud. I think it was an Oni."
"Maybe we can't fight it. But I know someone who can." said Lloyd as Nya looks at Kai confused, who shrugs in reply.
Nova was looking back at her hands frustrated and worried. "Why didn't any of my powers or abilities work like before?" she wondered punching the railing of the ship annoyed, causing the others to look at her confused and slightly worried.
"Nova, what's wrong?" Lloyd was the first to ask.
"You seem more pissed off than normal. And that's coming from me." said Kai.
"If something's wrong you can tell us." said Zane.
Nova glared angrily at them not saying anything as she went into the shadows wanting to be alone, at least her powers and abilities was working when not in that darkness.
The others looked at each other with concern, wondering what was going on with her.
*The ninja arrives at Garmadon's jail cell.*
"Well, well. Look who's back." said Garmadon.
"How do we stop it?" Lloyd asked.
Garmadon brushes his table. "You can't. If you were to enter the darkness, you would succumb to it. The only way to defeat an Oni is with another Oni. You need me." He said while he noticed a grumpy Nova standing to the side with her arms crossed.
Jay laughs. "Ha, ha, ha. Like that's gonna happen. Ha, ha. That's not gonna happen, is it?"
"What choice do we have? Open cell one." said Lloyd as the cell lifts up slowly.
Garmadon laughs evilly. "Hahahahaha. Mmhahahaha."
While the others wasn't noticing it. A smoke of darkness was slowly coming from Nova, as she only grew more frustrated on why she couldn't do anything to the darkness, even though she is an oni too like Garmadon.
