He closed the interface calmly and shook his head. "I haven't prepared one either."
Elarion's face lit up with joy, the corners of his mouth rising in a bright smile. His translucent blue eyes sparkled.
"Then bring some coins! As soon as class is over, let's head to Central Street. We can even have lunch there!"
Because of that plan, Elarion was excited and full of energy all morning.
Ms. Roaille had already stepped into the classroom while cradling a heavy magic tome in her arms, but Elarion was still twisting around in his seat, tugging on Lee Kiwook's sleeve and chattering non-stop.
"My dream since I was little has always been to own a wand of my own! But it's just so expensive. Even a wand of ordinary quality costs several gold coins… Luckily, I've saved up quite a bit over the years helping out at the church, so I should be able to afford a high-quality one now!"
Lee Kiwook murmured a few responses in a low voice, his mood gradually lifted by Elarion's excitement.
He was beginning to genuinely look forward to it too.
He realized that the real world was indeed far more immersive than any holographic MMO game he had played before. So many of the details were new and fascinating to him.
In the game, Central Street had just been a large, copy-pasted avenue. It looked grand, but in truth, the only accessible area was the trading hall.
What would the real Central Street be like…? Lee Kiwook absentmindedly stroked the parchment cover of the magic tome in his hands, lost in thought.
"Tch."
Sitting behind them, Leon had listened to every word of their conversation without missing a beat. He wrinkled his nose in disdain and scoffed, "What good is a 'high-quality' wand? What, is it just heavier for smacking people with? If you're going to buy one, buy an excellent-grade wand."
As he spoke, he pulled out a wand about the length of his forearm from beneath his robe and held it out for them to see.
It was a blue-tier wand, its fiery red shaft etched with intricate magic runes that pulsed with power, one of the best examples of blue-tier gear.
Elarion, however, didn't get angry at Leon's classic "why not eat meat instead?" attitude.
Instead, he gazed at the wand with nothing but pure admiration in his eyes: "It's amazing… I hope that one day I can have one like that too."
But Lee Kiwook shot Leon a cold glance, clearly uncomfortable with his attitude.
You wanna try smacking someone with that wand? I guarantee I can knock out seventeen or eighteen of you in one swing with my stats. Who are you looking down on, you glass-jawed featherweight?
Leon, unaware of Lee Kiwook's silent death glare, actually grinned smugly and glanced at him sideways. Then, in a much softer voice, he added: "If you guys are short on money, I can lend you some. Pay it back whenever… It's no big deal to me."
