I gripped my purse tighter, standing awkwardly in the foyer of the Valois mansion. All I wanted was to go home, process everything that had happened, and collapse into my bed. But Camille had other ideas.
"Daddy, Seraphina shouldn't take the bus this late. You should drive her," Camille suggested, touching her father's arm.
