Clarissa reached out and gently took Selina's hands into hers. Selina lifted her gaze to meet her sister's calm expression, mixed with subtle worry.
"We'll report this to the police and let them handle it. You have to stay safe too," Clarissa spoke softly, taking Selina's words to heart.
Selina's eyes never left her sister, who was two months older than her. She felt a surge of appreciation that Clarissa hadn't changed over time, despite their eleven years apart during her studies abroad. They had met only twice at the restaurant where Selina worked, reuniting there again before the party.
"I will," Selina nodded, squeezing Clarissa's hand.
"I know you haven't left the hospital until you see Dad. You can come with me," Clarissa said, extending her hand gently toward Selina.
