Chapter 60 - Chapter 60 Jed, Sonya, Blade, Marcus, Chrom / Endless Arcane

Alright, time for the final female hero of my continent…

Some of you might be thinking, "Hey! What's so special about her to save for last?" Well… uh…

The bright, cheerful morning sunlight pours into the bedroom of Jed, a woman with a model-like figure, a youthful, beautiful face, and long black hair spilling from her pillow to the bed, dressed in a thin white nightgown.

She slowly opens her sharp, stunning eyes against the sun, sitting up groggily, gathering her thoughts before showering, getting ready, and donning a black mage robe and cloak that covers her completely, topped with a large mage hat. She steps out, lightly knocks on the next room's door, then two more doors down, before yawning her way downstairs to order breakfast, staring off into space.

"Morning, Jed!"

"Yo, Jed!"

The first pair from the next room: Sonya, a cute white mage with standard proportions, and Blade, a hot-blooded warrior with spiky hair and decent muscles.

"Good morning, everyone. Sleep well last night?"

"Uh, good morning, everyone!"

Next come Marcus, a bulky heavy-armored warrior from the following room, and Chrom, a sharpshooter girl from the last room with long braided hair, average height, and an innocent, naive face in light, comfy clothes. They greet everyone as they arrive together.

No beating around the bush—Chrom is one of my bodies… And though I used Chrom to shadow the hero Jed, I keep getting harassed by Jed's party, so I can barely do anything…

"Oop!"

Squeeze!

"Eek!! W-What are you doing, Marcus?!"

"Giving my good girl a warm hug, duh! Sniff sniff Mmm, you mixed flowers in your bathwater today? Smells nice, Chrom!"

"I'm not cold! And this is sexual harassment!"

"Come on, Chrom, you'll be my wife someday, right?"

"No way, no way! Miss Jed, Sonya, help me!"

"Pfft!"

"Haha!"

"Marcus… Chrom doesn't like it, you know."

Sure, it's a joke to Sonya, Blade, and Marcus, but for Jed, it's not exactly funny. No surprise—she's from the same world as me.

But everyone just sees her words as part of her calm demeanor.

Whoosh!

"Miss Jed, th-thank you so much!"

"Man, didn't get my fill of Chrom hugs yet, heh. Plus, we're diving into a dungeon for who-knows-how-long soon. Won't get to sniff Chrom's sweet scent for a while… Though her sweaty smell ain't bad either!"

"Wahhh, Miss Jed~!"

"That's gross, Marcus…"

"Hahaha!" x3

Chrom (me) darts behind Jed, who glares at Marcus but can only do so much… No matter how much Jed scolds Marcus to help Chrom, they just laugh it off…

After breakfast, the group heads to a mid-level dungeon a short distance away.

In Bozza City, a cold-zone hub straddling the path to the northern region with tons of mid-level dungeons and forests, the adventurer guild is packed with mid-to-high-rank adventurers. It's the top spot for mid-tier goods from dungeons, forests, and diverse adventurers.

Free trade lets anyone sell in designated zones for a fee, drawing merchants, adventurers, and even mobile guilds. Despite avoiding the nearest dungeon, it's still overcrowded.

They pay for tent security, stow unneeded gear, grab a quest, and farm the dungeon for days, delving deeper to escape crowds and find spots with enough high-level monsters to challenge their strong party, making easy money from monster corpses. Thanks to Jed's suggestion, everyone has a Magic Bag, so they don't worry about lugging monster bodies back.

Clang! Slash! Stab! Slash!

"Huff, huff…" x2

"Heal!!!"

Vwing!

"Alright, everyone, let's take a break…"

"You guys rest here. I'll farm a bit more nearby and be back."

"I-I'll go with you, Miss Jed!"

"Chrom, you joining her 'cause you're not tired, or just dodging Marcus? Pfft!"

"Sigh, that Jed's got endless energy, huh, Sonya, Blade?"

"No kidding. I thought I was hot-blooded, but that quiet girl's way fiercer…"

Monsters keep coming relentlessly, and after four hours of fighting, the group's exhausted—except for Jed, who never tires, her MP still bottomless…

"Fire Bolt! Cold Bolt! Lightning Bolt! Wind Blitz! Stone Bash!"

Zoom! BOOM! ZAP! CRACK! BAM!

Jed unleashes attack spells on cave monsters nonstop. Chrom stays alert nearby but doesn't need to do much besides leech levels, watching as Jed clears the area.

"Your skills are amazing, Miss Jed! Never get tired of watching. Sigh… I'm exhausted just standing here. Kinda embarrassed I barely help you…"

"Hm, it's my only trick, this [Endless Arcane]… Didn't think it'd make me tireless in casting and physically, though."

"Right… Keep it up, then! If any monsters slip through, I'll handle 'em with my crossbow!"

"Thanks, Chrom."

That's hero Jed for you… Honestly, out of everyone, Jed's the blandest, most flavorless character. She lives in this isekai like it's a 9-to-5 job—answers when asked, speaks to the situation, does what's needed but never pushes beyond to avoid trouble, dodges unexpected risks, and has no grand plans to change or improve the world. She's like a diligent employee clocking overtime for free, quietly protecting her juniors without making waves.

Even with a cheat-tier skill like [Endless Arcane], letting her cast limitless spells with no cooldown, no delay, and no fatigue—mental or physical—she's still… meh.

She's a versatile mage, mastering all low-tier elemental spells, then upgrading to a colorless mage, even stronger. But that's it. She's got no big story to tell, and I never even peeked into her memories…

Alright, that's all ten heroes of this continent!

What's next? Stay tuned, friends!

Oh, forgot to mention—how Chrom met Jed? Nothing fancy. Asked to join her party, stuck around, done. See how bland that is?
