Chapter 8 - First Date.

On that special Thursday morning, it was raining. Sona begged the heavens so much that they took pity on her and gave her warm, sunny spring weather. Wearing a short pink dress and a denim jacket, she waited for Yoongi by the Han River. Her feet hurt in her high heels, but she endured the pain because she wanted him to see her looking beautiful instead of in her work clothes, which she was tired of wearing.

Sona listened to music on her headphones and glanced at her watch from time to time, looking for a familiar figure in the distance. Twenty minutes had passed since their appointed meeting time, and Yungi still hadn't arrived. She was tired of standing alone, watching couples in love walk by, holding hands. She began to get nervous.

Yoongi stood far away. He watched Sona, admiring her pink dress and slender legs. He admired her. His heart leapt when she smiled at the sun, her long brown hair blowing in the wind. He couldn't believe the beautiful woman in front of him was his girlfriend. She was waiting for him, nervously glancing at her watch. He lost track of time, left alone with his thoughts and feelings. When he received a message from her, he finally came to his senses.

Sona

"I hope you haven't forgotten about our date," she wrote, adding some sad emojis.

Yoongi smiled. He put his phone in his pocket and walked toward her. She was waiting for a reply, biting her lip, when someone suddenly covered her eyes from behind. Feeling the familiar, warm hands that smelled of honey, she calmed down. No, he hadn't forgotten about the date. He had come after all. She was delighted. Yoongi pulled her close, hugged her, and breathed in the scent of her hair.

Sona melted in his arms, but she didn't want to spend the entire day like that. She wanted their first date to be unforgettable. She turned around to see the boy's face, but the joy instantly disappeared from her expression when she saw his white face. The guy was standing in front of her, dressed in a black jacket, black cap, and black mask and glasses.

"Oh, you scared me," she said, jumping away from him. "Yoongi?" she asked, looking for any familiar features in the guy standing in front of her.

"Ahh..." he groaned, remembering that Sona was seeing him in this guise for the first time. He took off his glasses and lowered his mask so the girl could recognize him. "It's me. It's me," he assured the beauty, who looked at him with slight disappointment. "Hey, what's wrong?" the guy frowned.

"Nothing..." Sona hummed. "I just thought we would walk together like normal people." She pouted, giving him a puppy-dog look.

"Unfortunately, we're not normal people," he said, exhaling heavily. "I have to wear a mask so people don't recognize me. You don't want to spend our first date surrounded by fans and camera flashes, do you?"

"No," she replied, shaking her head. She noticed that Yungi himself was not thrilled about any of this, and the joyful sparkle in his eyes slowly faded. "Yoongi..."

His name flew melodiously from her lips. He looked at her, hiding the sadness in his eyes. A painful lump formed in his throat, preventing him from saying a word. Sona took a step closer, pulled the mask over his face, and smiled. "Let's go," she said, holding out her hand. Yoongi grunted in response. He put on his glasses and took Sona's hand. "Where will our first stop be?" the girl asked, smiling happily.

"Are you afraid of heights?"

The girl was surprised, but it was too late to respond. Yoongi pulled her by the hand. There was no point in resisting because he was going to do what he had planned anyway. And so began the adventure of their first date.

The amusement park was crowded today, as if on purpose. Laughter, children's cries, and the screams of young people unable to contain their emotions on extreme rides could be heard everywhere. Yungi bought two tickets and a map to avoid getting lost in the huge park. He decided to start with the simplest children's rides. First, they rode the carousel, then the train, which traveled through an endless cityscape accompanied by cheerful music and dozens of children. Sona also behaved like a child. She rejoiced at every little thing and laughed—no, it was more like a roar—which was difficult to stop.

But the boy liked her sincere laughter. It warmed his heart. It made him smile constantly. Unfortunately, his smile was not visible under the mask. Still, Sona could tell just by looking at Yoongi that he was smiling. They continued their journey near the stalls selling hats and other interesting items for children and young people. Sona was delighted when she saw the cat ear headband, so Yoongi bought it for her.

After finding a quiet, deserted place to enjoy cotton candy, Sona suddenly took something out of her bag. She took off Yoongi's cap and replaced it with the Kumamon hat she had just bought while he was away getting snacks. He remained silent and did not resist, just watching with admiration as she looked at him and her gift, given from the bottom of her heart. She smiled, bit her lip, and caught his gaze. Yoongi was falling more and more in love with this bright girl, and it was an irreversible process. He had never been so happy.

Next on the list were the extreme attractions, which Sona was not enthusiastic about. Yoongi, on the other hand, wanted an adrenaline rush, but didn't want to experience it alone, so he dragged Sona to each attraction. They felt a real adrenaline rush riding the slides and the "Viking ship," holding each other's hands tightly the whole time, afraid to let go. The day flew by, leaving behind hundreds of pleasant emotions and memories.

As they walked along the river under the lanterns, Yoongi walked calmly, without a mask. There were almost no people around, only the occasional passerby walking down the road. The two of them wandered silently through the evening city, simply holding hands. That would have been enough for them, but not today, not at that moment.

Suddenly, fireworks lit up the sky on the other side of the river, illuminating the city from above. Muffled explosions and whistling sounds filled the air, but they died down when Yungi stopped, put his arm around Sonya's waist, pulled her closer, ran his hand through her hair, and gently kissed her. Today's kiss was even more special than the first. It overflowed with love. A storm raged in both their hearts, one that seemed like it would never subside. Their first date ended on this sweet note.

They both got home late. Sona calmly went to her room, fell asleep with a smile, and woke up in Mina's arms in her warm bed. But Yoongi had to tiptoe to his bed so as not to wake the other members. If even one of them woke up, they would all wake up and immediately start asking questions. He didn't want that at all right now. He fell asleep with the feelings raging in his heart. He fell asleep with Sona's image in front of him.

Sona's new day did not begin as she had hoped. When she opened her mail, she found a letter that had been waiting to be read for two days. Its contents brought Sona to tears. She did not know if the news was good or bad. Choking back tears, she went to work, replaying the message in her head:
