Chapter 9 - A Battle between Divine

This fight now was not anymore a battle of mortals but something even beyond—a fight where galaxies and universe were at the risk of Destruction.

A battle between Divine.

And then the battle started with the Dragon God's roar.

"RAOORRRRRRRRRRR!" he roared, looking up at the dark sky.

And from beside the Dragon God, the Elemental Goddess suddenly tapped her staff against the ground. In the next second, all four of them disappeared from their places in a blink, leaving behind the destruction of their battle.

In a place far, far away from Earth—in a remote corner of the universe—four beings appeared, facing one another.

"You three care about that world quite a lot, don't you?" the God of Destruction said, his tone taunting, ignoring that Elemental Goddess just teleported him out of earth without his permission,

"Indeed we do," Dragon God spoke in his dragon form, his voice so heavy that even the space around them trembled with his few words.

"Hmm, I see. I didn't expect you three to be this sentimental—growing close to those mortals in a mere hundred years," he said, slightly surprised. Then he continued, "Anyway, let's end this battle with our ultimate attacks. After all, we don't have much time left to live."

"RAOORRRRRRRRRRR!" the Dragon God replied with a mighty roar and began to grow in size. In a second, the Dragon God expanded—from a mere five meters to a size that rivaled Earth, maybe even bigger.

The Elemental Goddess raised her staff in front of her, then muttered, "GATHER." With that word, every single element in existence conjured before her, forming a spear that, just by hovering in place, warped and twisted the space around it.

The Vampire Goddess did not fall behind.

"Final seal: The Will of Dead, the Blood of Fallen... ABSOLUTE VICTORY!" she shouted, causing her crystal green sword to swirl with two new energies—one blood-red and the other gray.

These were the manifestations of death and blood—in the hands of the Vampire Goddess.

The God of Destruction, seeing this entire spectacle, couldn't help but mutter, "Amazing... absolutely amazing," his face filled with ecstasy.

"This final clash of ours will truly be magnificent. The whole universe will stand as a testament to it!" he cried, arms outstretched and face full of manic joy. Cracks on his body began growing deeper and wider.

"BUT!" he suddenly shouted, raising his hand straight. He released half of his life force, and with it, formed a massive barrier around all of them.

"Now we can truly clash without any worry of destroying the universe," he said.

At the Destruction God's actions, all three of them were momentarily speechless. None of them could understand his reason for forming a barrier around them with fifty percent of his life force. Was he so confident he would win? Didn't he want to cause destruction? Why then was he doing this?

All three had many questions—but they didn't ask them.

Right now, all their focus was on forging their strongest attacks—stronger than ever before. And if the universe wasn't destroyed, that worked in their favor. So they remained silent.

Gripping his God Slayer sword in one hand, then bringing his other hand to support it, the Destruction God raised it in front of his face and muttered:

"Final seal: Destruction of Heaven."

At those words, the universe rumbled violently, making the Destruction God chuckle. "It looks like you miss him," he said, and then refocused on his ultimate attack.

A black miasma, with a trace of red in it, began to swirl around him and his sword. It was the very manifestation of Destruction itself.

Once his attack was ready, he raised his sword above his head.

"Here I come. Get ready," he said.

At his words, the Dragon God—now towering and cosmic—opened his mouth. A mouth so vast it could swallow stars. From within that mouth, a small orb of golden energy began to form.

That small orb suddenly expanded and erupted like a laser beam.

The Vampire Goddess slashed her sword at the God of Destruction.

The Elemental Goddess hurled her elemental spear, now looking like a chaos of all elemental forces combined.

All three attacks were aimed directly at the Destruction God—and his was aimed at them.

And—

BOOM

Finally, the moment their attacks collided, an explosion so powerful erupted that reality itself broke down. Space was torn open, revealing the abyss behind it.

The universe tried to heal that tear—but it was futile.

The sheer force of those attacks didn't merely damage that corner of space—it erased it. That part of the universe was gone. Not destroyed, not obliterated, but erased from existence. There was no space. No reality. Nothing remained.

And yet the barrier around the battleground, although cracked and barely holding, had stopped most of the shockwave and devastation from spreading.

The Children of Heaven, who had already retreated and stood very far away, gazed quietly upon that void where the battle had just occurred.

"Now that's what I'm talking about," the Destruction God said. He now stood far from them, a glowing halo behind him that flickered in and out of existence, like a fading star.

But it still remained.

The Dragon God had reverted to his human form. The two Goddesses were also back in their mortal forms, visibly exhausted.

They turned their eyes toward the God of Destruction, prepared to ask something—but before they could, he spoke first:

"First seal: The Ashes of God."
