"Alright, let's not worry about him for now. For the dance party tonight, have you figured out what costume you're going to wear?" Kevin asked Bonnie. As for Damon, Kevin had tied him up securely and given him another shot of vervain, so he wasn't worried about him escaping.
"It's a retro-themed dance party this morning, so I'll definitely be wearing clothes from that era," Bonnie told Kevin.
"Alright then. Shall I take you home first? Or should we go straight to the dance?" Kevin asked Bonnie, who was in the passenger seat.
"Take me home, please. My dress is at home," Bonnie replied.
"No problem. Then send me your location; I don't know where you live yet," Kevin said, flooring the accelerator, only then realizing he'd never been to Bonnie's house.
By the time Kevin got to Bonnie's house, it was already quite late, so Kevin had to wait for Bonnie to change before taking her to the dance.
"How does this look?" Bonnie asked Kevin, wearing a retro-style dress.
"Sorry, but to be honest, that dress really doesn't suit you," Kevin said. Looking at Bonnie's hairstyle and overall outfit, he genuinely found it a bit odd.
"Hey~!" Bonnie laughed and playfully swatted Kevin.
"Honestly, you look very sexy in it, but this retro style... I just can't appreciate it. Maybe it's because I'm from Shenzhou, and our aesthetics are a bit different from here," Kevin explained to Bonnie.
"Alright, your excuse passes," Bonnie said, letting Kevin off the hook after hearing his explanation. Not long after, they arrived and entered the dance together.
"Hey Caroline!" As soon as Bonnie entered, she saw Caroline and walked over to greet her.
"Long time no see, Caroline," Kevin thought, figuring it would be rude to just walk away, so he followed Bonnie over.
"Kevin, Bonnie, you're here?" Caroline asked, a hint of surprise in her voice as she saw the two of them arrive together.
"I ran into Bonnie on the way and gave her a ride. I'm going to grab something to eat first," Kevin said, making up a casual excuse, then went straight to the bar counter, ordered some more food, grabbed a bottle of wine, and started eating.
"Hey, Kevin," a voice sounded from behind him.
"I didn't expect you'd dare to come looking for me," Kevin said, watching Anna walk up beside him.
"I had no other choice. I wanted to ask for your help," Anna said to Kevin.
"Help? Don't you know I have a very bad impression of vampires? You should be thinking about how you're going to escape later, yet you still want my help?" Kevin thought about how to capture Anna later to confirm the number of vampires they were dealing with.
"Kevin, I know you took Damon away. I don't care if he lives or dies. I haven't killed a single person in Mystic Falls to this day. I just want to rescue my mother, who is trapped in the tomb. You can even accept Stefan; I think you're at least a good person," Anna said to Kevin.
"Don't mention Stefan to me. For all the things he's done, while I don't plan to kill him, my patience with him has also reached its limit," Kevin said with a wave of his hand.
"Besides, your friend Logan killed who knows how many people. What makes you think I should help you? And regarding Logan's turning, it's clear you're no innocent little lamb. Don't try to play cute with me," Kevin said, glancing sidelong at Anna.
"I admit, that Logan fellow was an idiot. But I really have no other options; I can only come to you for help," Anna said in a pleading tone.
"Wait a minute. That guy is named Noah, right? Wasn't he your companion from last time?" Kevin asked, noticing that Elena, who had been walking towards him, had just answered a phone call and run off towards one of the exits, with another vampire following her.
"Damn it, Noah! He probably saw that Elena looks identical to Katherine and wants to hunt her!" Anna exclaimed, flustered and angry.
"Want to come along?" Kevin glanced at Anna and, without waiting for her reply, sped off after them.
Kevin followed them into a classroom and, seeing Elena was about to be bitten, immediately rushed forward and kicked Noah away. 'Honestly, a normal person's strength just isn't enough. Kicking seems to be the only way I can maximize my force every time.'
"Anna, help me stop him for a second!" Noah yelled, looking up and seeing Anna had followed them in. He wanted to continue towards Elena.
"In your dreams!" Kevin accelerated again and plunged a wooden stick straight through Noah's stomach. This wooden stick had been soaked in vervain all night, and the pain instantly immobilized Noah.
"Elena!" Stefan finally rushed in at that moment and immediately embraced Elena.
"Anna, you actually betrayed me!" Noah yelled furiously, even though he was down.
"No, you betrayed me. How many times did I tell you not to cause trouble? You still insisted on doing this. What else could I do?" Anna said faintly from the side.
"He has entered your home; he must die," Stefan said. He had seen Anna and recognized her, roughly understanding the situation. He released Elena and walked towards Noah, intending to pull out the wooden stick and kill him. Unfortunately, the vervain on the stick immediately burned Stefan, making him let go.
"Let me," Kevin said. He also wanted to test if killing a vampire would unlock a Talisman. Without further ado, he plunged a wooden stick into Noah, killing him. Unfortunately, a fifth Talisman did not light up. Kevin was somewhat disappointed. Unwilling to give up, he carefully examined the Talismans in his mind again and found that one of them had lit up by a tiny fraction. It seemed that to unlock more Talismans, he would have to kill more vampires.
"Alright, now we should talk about our business," Kevin said. "You know there are twenty-seven vampires in that tomb. Once it's opened, it would be a devastating disaster for Mystic Falls. You have to give me a good enough reason to convince me." Kevin thought, 'If I want to kill vampires, where better than those twenty-odd desiccated ones in the tomb? But I can't possibly tell Anna this. I need to see what Anna plans to do first.'
"I only want my mother. And once I find my mother, we can leave Mystic Falls immediately. As for the other vampires, whether you want to keep them locked up or kill them, I have no problem with it," Anna told Kevin.
"No! We can't open the tomb and let them out!" Elena said to Kevin.
"Kevin, Anna... I know her. You can't believe what she says. If those 27 vampires all rush out, we won't be able to control them at all," Stefan pleaded with Kevin.
"Oh? I thought you were just like Damon, eager to open the tomb. After all, Katherine is in there, isn't she?" Kevin said with a hint of mockery.
"No! I won't let you open the tomb! Besides, the necklace has already been destroyed. How could you possibly open the tomb now?" Stefan said, shaking his head.
"There's another way. I'm currently looking for something. As long as I find that thing, a witch can use it to directly open the tomb," Anna said ambiguously.
"If you're willing to tell me, then tell me. If not, then you can leave. And according to what you're saying, you don't even need my help. So?" Kevin said bluntly to Anna.
"Emily's spellbook! As long as we find her spellbook, a witch can use the writings in it to deduce and reverse the seal," Anna said hurriedly.
"As for why I'm asking for your help... mainly because if you intend to stop me, I won't be able to successfully open the tomb with you in the way. Last time, you already captured me, but your actions in testing me showed that you are a good person. That's why I had to come seek your help. Really, I genuinely just want to get my mother out. She's been trapped in there for over a hundred years," Anna continued, explaining why she had come to Kevin for help, her voice even tinged with tears as she implored him.
