Susan stared in disbelief. It turned out that Gavin had just activated an official verified account on social media and reposted her X post with the caption:
"Need movie tickets."
Just four simple words, but they sent the entire internet into a frenzy, sparking endless speculation. The comment section was even more entertaining.
"I swear I'm not seeing things? Gavin Feynman and Susan? These two have nothing to do with each other, how did they even end up together?"
"Right? Andrew is known for chasing every pretty face, but what's up with Gavin???"
"Oh my god, ship the right couple for once! Gavin has never shown up publicly, yet he's breaking his silence for an actress? Who can say this isn't true love?"
"Can Andrew just leave? A toad wanting to eat swan meat? What chance does he have against Gavin?"
Susan read through the comments, her mind drifting back to all the times she had been publicly shamed before. She felt a complicated mix of emotions. Just then, her phone dinged with a new message. It was from an unknown number:
"Sorry if my sudden move caused you any trouble."
"I'm Gavin Feynman. Can I have your contact info?"
Susan hesitated. She originally didn't want to reply, but then she remembered Director Yvonne and the Feynman family's influence in Los City. Her career was just starting to take off in this world, maybe it was worth playing along.
So she replied: "Sure. When the movie premieres, you'll be the first to get a ticket."
After a few seconds, Gavin replied: "Noted."
Reading that, Susan's heart inexplicably skipped a beat. They exchanged contact info, but after that, Gavin didn't reach out again. Susan quickly put it out of her mind and focused on filming.
Not long after, one day a delivery guy showed up with a huge order of food and drinks for the entire crew, ordered under Susan's name. Before she could even figure out what was going on, a red Porsche Panamera pulled up in front of the set.
Then Andrew appeared, holding a bouquet of bright roses and leading little Sam, all eyes on them as they walked toward Susan.
"Susan, I remember you like sports cars. This is the first check I received in this world. It's for you." Andrew smiled gently, holding out the flowers and car keys together.
This was outside the studio, surrounded by paparazzi. Susan knew she was about to blow up on social media again.
She took a deep breath, pushed away Andrew's offering with a cold expression, and said,
"Andrew Feynman, I've made it clear that we're not close. I'm working now. Could you stop bothering me?"
Andrew was about to say something when suddenly. BANG! A loud crash rang out from the street.
Not only Susan and Andrew but also the onlookers were startled. Looking up, Susan saw that the Panamera, Andrew had just gifted was now a crumpled wreck.
The SUV that hit it only had a noticeable dent in the front. The driver pushed open the door, long legs striding casually toward them.
"Sorry, this car was blocking the way."
Gavin walked up to Susan, then turned to Andrew with a cold smile,
"Looks like my brother's car got smashed by me? You don't mind, right? Need me to pay you back?"
