Chapter 14 - Chapter 14

Susan stared wide-eyed at the father and son, her heart pounding violently. Why were they here?

Before she could react, Andrew had already reached her, red-eyed. "Susan, I'm sorry about everything before."

Susan frowned, feigning confusion, impatiently interrupting, "Who are you?"

Director Yvonne said nothing, but Mr. Feynman suddenly slammed the table, yelled: "Andrew, who gave you permission to come here?"

Andrew smiled faintly, calmly replying, "Dad, am I not your son?"

Mr. Feynman's voice turned cold: "I have no such son. Take your bastard and get out!"

Andrew's eyes darkened, voice low and steady: "He's not a bastard."

He then fixed his gaze on Susan and whispered, "Susan, he's not a bastard, right?"

Both father and son looked at Susan expectantly.

Susan pretended to be confused and innocent: "Sir, I don't know what you're talking about."

Andrew's expression shifted, about to say more when a low laugh came from nearby.

Gavin, calm and collected, casually fiddling with a wine glass on the table, crossed his legs and looked down coldly at Andrew: "Brother, I believe you don't want your company to go bankrupt just as it's starting out, do you?"

Andrew stiffened.

He had only recently arrived and had quickly learned his status in the Feynman family, practically none.

This Feynman family dominated some industries in Los City, far more powerful and terrifying than the Feynman family from his original world.

As the second young master of such a vast family, Andrew only got one million a month for living expenses.

No one at home cared if he lived or died.

To win over Susan, Andrew needed massive financial resources and wanted to give her the best life possible in this world. But he couldn't break into the family power structure because his elder brother, Gavin Feynman, controlled everything.

This man was the first to make Andrew feel immense pressure and fear in both worlds, cutthroat and ruthless.

Andrew knew he couldn't compete with him. Helpless, Andrew began to start his own business. He didn't expect Gavin to find out so quickly, or that he was already under his hands.

Cold sweat broke out on Andrew's forehead. "Disgraceful! Get out now!" Only then did Director Yvonne speak sharply.

Andrew dared not provoke Gavin, so he pulled Sam aside. "Sam, come here."

Sam looked at Susan with tears in his eyes, reluctant to leave. Susan remained indifferent.

Before leaving, Andrew gave Susan a deep look and whispered, "We will meet again."

The door closed. Except for Gavin, the others looked displeased.

Gavin picked up a piece of foie gras and placed it in Susan's plate, smiling: "Don't mind him. My brother has some mental issues."

Susan was momentarily speechless but visibly relaxed.

Director Yvonne sighed, "Susan, sorry for the embarrassment. I actually wanted to introduce you to my family today. After all these years working together, I consider you like my daughter and friend."

Susan smiled, raising a glass to her, "Aunt Yvonne, I'm happy you trust me so much."

The atmosphere at the table improved. Yvonne was witty and entertaining, never letting the conversation dry.

Meanwhile, Susan silently called out to her dormant system.

After a crackling electric sound, the system explained:

[Host, Andrew is the one trying to pursue you.]
